Impact: Magnus battles Styles to become the true TNA belt holder

It has all come down to this. AJ Styles leaves with it all or leaves with nothing. Magnus defines his legacy or costs TNA their belt. Tonight on TNA Impact, the TNA World Heavyweight Championships are unified in what is likely the match with the most at stake on it in TNA history. What will the Carter regime have planned for tonight? All that and more on this week's edition of TNA Impact!

TNA President Dixie Carter makes her way out and wants TNA World Heavyweight Champion AJ Styles to come sign his contract to get this all over with. He obliges by making his way out. Carter tells Styles she doesn't want to hear a word from him. Carter explains the contract is one night only and wants tonight's match to be no disqualification so she will never have to see him again. Carter wants him to be bloodied and bruised when she pictures the last time she was him.
Styles mocks Carter, saying that her last two champions have been taken down by him. Styles reiterates that this is winner take all and that he will officially be TNA World Heavyweight Champion, regardless of whatever tournaments or schemes Carter cooks up. Styles also warns Carter that there will be people to have his back in the no disqualification match should she send people down to the ring to try to interfere.
Carter is furious, telling Styles that she made Styles and put food on his table for him and his family. Carter informs Styles that no one will be coming down to help him tonight because she owns them and she can't wait to break him tonight. Styles believes Carter doesn't get it and she doesn't get wrestling. Styles believes he gave the title respect and believes that Carter's "paper champion" should figure that out.
TNA Interim World Heavyweight Champion Magnus makes his way to the ring and demands Carter leave the ring. Magnus tells Styles he won't call him a "paper champion" anymore and tells Styles that his time is up. His last image of Styles is him running away. Magnus congratulates Style on his run, but he says he will end Styles and become the true champion.
Styles closes by signing the contract and informing everyone that he never took the shortcuts Magnus did to win the belt. Styles promises to leave tonight with honor, respect, and dignity.

Carter also discusses something that needs to be done with the TNA Tag Team Champions The BroMans before they are introduced by DJ Zema Ion.
Match One: The BroMans (w/Zema Ion) vs. Joseph Park & Eric Young
Eric Young starts off locking up with the referee. Robbie E charges and he gets hit with right hands. Young sent into the corner, but he flips to the apron and rams the shoulder into the stomach of Robbie E. Flying forearm to Robbie E and belly-to-belly to Jessie Godderz.
Joseph Park in and he gets a scoop slam on Robbie E. ODB is shown on the big screen getting beaten by TNA Knockouts Champion Gail Kim and Lei'D Tapa. Eric Young goes to the back to help out his wife and The BroMans go to work on Park. Elbow drop from the top by Robbie E gets a nearfall.
Godderz in with some corner work before bringing Robbie E back in. Park fighting out of the double-team attack in the corner and lands scoop slams on both men. Robbie E tries to whip Park and goes off the ropes, but bounces off with crossbody. Chop block to the knee of Park connects and Godderz hoists Park up. Bro Down connects.
Winners by pinfall: The BroMans
Post-match, The BroMans rip the guardrail off the hinges and hit the Bro Down on Park on top of the guard rail.
Samoa Joe meets up with Dixie Carter. Joe tells her that there are people backstage who stand behind AJ Styles and that if she plans on coming out with some cronies tonight, she'll have to go through him. Carter says she made him just like she made Styles and that he should focus on his match with Ethan Carter III tonight.
Joseph Park is shown backstage being evaluated for a concussion.
Eric Young is shown taking ODB outside and to the hospital. Sting meets up with Young along the way and asks what's going on, to which Young gives a rushed answer.
"Cowboy" James Storm comes out and he wants to discuss his actions the past few weeks. Gunner is invited out and he obliges. Storm has been part of some of the greatest tag teams in wrestling and he believes ego and attitude need to go out the door. Storm knows he has an ego and he believes world titles tear teams apart.
Gunner believes that he did what was right, knowing that the Feast or Fired match was every man for themselves. Gunner details all of Storm's betrayals and actions. Gunner tells Storm to keep his ego because he has the case. Storm offers Gunner to hang his case up for one last match between the two. The two begrudgingly shake hands and the match is agreed to.
Backstage, Ethan Carter III is shown jumping and beating down Samoa Joe prior to their match later tonight.
Match Two: Ethan Carter III vs. Samoa Joe
The two brawl into the entrance and make their way to the ring to make it official.
Ethan Carter III starts clubbing and stomping Samoa Joe down to start. EC3 with a chinlock. Joe fighting out and now landing on EC3. Discus forearm leads to an atomic drop. Big boot and back splash connect soon after. Jabs and a huge chop in the corner from Joe followed up by a running back splash. Enzuigiri drops EC3. Joe soaking in the crowd and EC3 with a dropkick to the knee. Working on the legs, EC3 goes up top, but Joe meets him with chops and strikes. Musclebuster set up.
TNA Chief of Staff Rockstar Spud makes his way out and holds the leg of Samoa Joe. Joe chases him outside and looks to attack, but EC3 from behind with a steel wrench.
Winner by disqualification: Samoa Joe
Spud holds the leg post-match and EC3 cracks him with the wrench. The two make their way up the ramp taunting a hurt Samoa Joe.
Jeremy Borash backstage with Kurt Angle. Angle issued an open challenge in a cage to prepare for Genesis against Bobby Roode. Angle pities whoever joins him in the cage because all he will see is Bobby Roode.

Samoa Joe with the doctor backstage. The doctor believes they have to go to the hospital.
Sting sees James Storm and Gunner laid out with beer bottles backstage. Sting heads outside to confront Dixie Carter, where he tells her he can change this all, Carter doesn't want to change anything and will continue doing business until Styles is gone.
Bobby Roode makes his way out while Kurt Angle is in the cage. Roode plans to prove next week in a cage that he is better than Angle yet again and he plans to take his TNA Hall of Fame induction with it. Roode teases that he will get in the cage tonight, but instead sends Bad Influence to face Angle.
Handicap Cage Match Three: Kurt Angle vs. Bad Influence
Kurt Angle immediately takes it to Christopher Daniels as he steps in the cage door. Angle goes up top to meet Kazarian, but he is yanked down by Daniels to get crotched on the top rope. Daniels slams Angle into the cage. Axhandle smash from Daniels and the team gets a nearfall.
The team rams Angle on his back into the cage. Angle turns it around and gets an Ankle lock on Daniels before Kaz soon breaks it. Splash in the corner and a heel kick get Bad Influence another series of nearfalls.
The team sends Angle off the ropes and he comes back striking. Body drop on Kazarian. Daniels tries a suplex, but Angle with a cradle. Kazarian holding the referee to ensure he doesn't get the count. Brief nearfall sees Angle taken out by a clothesline as soon as he stands up. Corner work on Angle from the team. Scoop slam from Daniels followed by a springboard leg drop from Kaz for a nearfall.
Elbows to the neck from Daniels leads to a double-team attack that fails as Angle ducks out of the way. Angle with a series of clotheslines for both men. Forearm to Daniels. Kazarian with a back elbow in the corner, but Angle connects with a belly-to-belly on Kazarian. Two German Suplexes for Daniels and Kaz tries to run in, but he gets two of his own. Both men being tossed around and Angle looking for an Angle Slam on Daniels. Kazarian with a shot from behind. Angle cornered, but he sends Daniels into the cage. Kaz looking to escape, but Angle with a German Suplex that flips Kazarian into his own partner. Daniels again sent hard into the cage and Angle Slam connects on Kaz.
Winner by pinfall: Kurt Angle
Dixie Carter informs the ring hands to leave the cage up. Bobby Roode walks in and Carter asks if he's ready for his cage match tonight. Roode thinks it is against Angle and Carter stuns him by telling him it is against Sting. Carter tells him he has him covered tonight.
Al Snow is shown having to take Kurt Angle to the airport for an emergency.
Cage Match Four: Bobby Roode vs. Sting
Lockup leads to a stalemate between the two. Side headlock off a second lockup for Roode. Shoulder block knocks Sting down, but he gets hip tossed coming off the ropes. Kick counter to the body drop from Sting and both men attempt to send each other into the cage. Roode sent into the corner and Stinger Splash is sent away by a mule kick. Roode stomping and punching Sting around. Back elbow drops Sting for a nearfall.
Suplex from Roode gets a brief nearfall and Roode follows with ground and pound. Roode wants to walk right out of the cage, but Sting catches up to him. Knee to the stomach and Sting has his head bounced off the turnbuckle before Roode works him in the corner. Corner to corner, Roode works Sting. Back elbow and a kick now sending Roode back, but he walks into a spinebuster for a Roode nearfall.
Roode now scaling the cage from the corner, but Sting catches up to him. Sting kicked down, but he makes it back up. Gorilla press out of the corner from Sting regains some momentum. Clothesline and Sting sends Roode into the cage. A pair of Stinger Splashes converts and the Scorpion Deathlock attempt fails as Roode rakes the eyes. Death Valley Driver attempt from Roode is countered by a Scorpion Death Drop. Scorpion Deathlock now in for Sting.
Ethan Carter III and Rockstar Spud make their way down. EC3 climbs the cage and Sting releases the hold to focus on him. Spud tosses in a baton and Roode clubs Sting with it before walking out.
Winner by cage escape: Bobby Roode
Mr. Anderson shown walking into a funeral home.
Bully Ray and Mr. Anderson meeting at the funeral home. Bully intimidating Anderson with the lighter and telling Anderson has weakened him. Anderson cannot fathom how much he has taken from him and Bully wants to inflict his loneliness on Anderson. Bully tells Anderson to go look in the coffin to see what he put in there and it is a pair of baby clothes sets. Anderson turns around to find Bully gone.
Sting meets Carter backstage. Sting promises nothing will stop him from standing beside Styles tonight. Carter threatens Sting with the upcoming contract season, telling Sting that Styles wouldn't give it all up for him and to make the right decision tonight.

No Disqualification Match Five for the Unified TNA World Heavyweight Championship: AJ Styles vs. Magnus
Magnus immediately moves outside to think before the match starts. AJ Styles looking to lockup and Magnus again moves outside. Rockstar Spud and Ethan Carter III run in and start unloading on Styles. Styles takes EC3 out with and an atomic drop before taking out Spud with one punch. Magnus in, but he eats a kick and almost gets a Styles Clash. EC3 with a clothesline and Spud soon joins in.
Sting comes in to fight off Spud and EC3. Big corner work on EC3 and those men move outside. Magnus comes in, but Styles still in control and he strikes him outside. Magnus regrouping with his group outside as we break.
We return and Styles and Magnus looking ready to get a clean lockup, but The BroMans make their way down with Zema Ion. The team take out Sting and Zema Ion hits a tornado DDT on Styles. Magnus with the cover and referee Earl Hebner with a slow count that only allows for a nearfall. The BroMans put up Styles for the Bro Down and Hebner's hesitant count again only gets to a nearfall.
The Bromans and Ion working Styles over in the corner while Sting finally takes out Spud and EC3. Sting back inside and he tosses everyone out. Styles takes out Robbie E with a huge neckbreaker. Magnus steps in and takes a chop and a leg kick before being set up for a Styles Clash. Bad Influence in and Kazarian with an axhandle smash from the top. Christopher Daniels with a right hand. Double-team maneuver plants Styles Hebner refuses to count this time and he drops Spud on the way out.
Dixie Carter comes in and she brings out Brian Hebner. Earl Hebner stunned, but he heads backstage. The group beating down Styles and they still only get a nearfall. Sting outside taking out EC3 in the Scorpion Deathlock and handling The BroMans.
Inside, Styles kicks Magnus outside off a Cloverleaf attempt and he runs Bad Influence into one another. Dropkick on Kaz and Sting clotheslines Daniels down. The two in opposite corners and they are sandwiched. Forearm from Styles and a Stinger Splash from Sting. Zema Ion sent out.
Magnus back in and Styles rolls him into a Calf Killer. Kaz takes out Brian Hebner and the two go to work on Styles. Monkey flip from Kaz sees Styles land on his feet. Clothesline takes out Daniels and Kaz eats a Pele Kick. Magnus again returns, but Styles catches him and lands a Styles Clash. Earl Hebner comes out to count, but Bad Influence takes him out of the ring. Styles takes them out with a flip dive and Styles up top.
Bobby Roode out now and he sends Styles onto the top rope on his throat. Death Valley Driver plants Styles. Roode with one more. Styles down and out on the mat and Magnus asks for one more. Roode obliges. Referee Brian Stiffler brought down as Sting is held back. Dixie Carter leads Stiffler in and he makes the count.
Winner by pinfall and new TNA World Heavyweight Champion: Magnus
The show closes with Magnus celebrating with the Carter regime.
