Main Event: Tag champ Goldust tackles Swagger

With partners at ringside, a tag team is a dangerous thing even in the singles match. WWE Tag Team Champions Goldust and Cody Rhodes are perhaps even more dangerous because of their brotherhood and they have the gold to prove it. Tonight on WWE Main Event, the older and more bizarre of the Rhodes brothers takes on Jack Swagger of the Real Americans. Plus, Divas tag action! All that and more on this week's edition of WWE Main Event!

We are on tape from Corpus Christi, Texas. Josh Mathews and The Miz have the call for this week.

Match One: Goldust (w/Cody Rhodes) vs. Jack Swagger (w/Zeb Colter & Antonio Cesaro)

Lockup and Jack Swagger gets a shoulder block on Goldust. Reset in the offense and Swagger gets the side headlock. Another shoulder block from Swagger. Goldust tries to leapfrog and duck away, but Swagger catches him with an arm drag. Both men still feeling each other out. Goldust with a shoulder bump and atomic drop. Arm drag and right hands from Goldust connect. Springboard back elbow connects for a Goldust nearfall.

Swagger moves outside to regroup with Antonio Cesaro. Back inside, faked lockup from Goldust allows him to kick Swagger in the midsection and work him in the corner with chops. Swagger sent into the opposite corner on his chest in the corner for a nearfall. Armbar and knee drops to the left arm from Goldust. Swagger taken out outside by Goldust as we break.

Goldust working the armbar and Swagger sends him outside. Goldust rammed into the ring apron by Swagger before we move back inside for a quick Swagger nearfall. Corner of the ring being used to choke Goldust. Huge clothesline takes Goldust down for a nearfall.

Swagger working a neck crank and Goldust fights up to his feet. Off the ropes, Swagger catches him and hits a takedown slam for a nearfall. Goldust laying across the apron and Swagger clubbing him across the chest for another quick nearfall. Rear chinlock in for Swagger. Body shots get Goldust out, but Swagger puts him down with a back elbow for yet another nearfall.

Cornered, Goldust fights back with mule kicks, but Swagger soon regains control with strikes and hits a leg drop for a close nearfall. Keylock works the left arm of Goldust and it is soon transitioned to an armbar. Goldust once again fighting to his feet and he hits the ropes to turn into a backslide nearfall. The resurgent offense is countered by Swagger with a Swagger Bomb nearfall. Sneaky rollup from Goldust gets another nearfall.

Swagger stomping to regain control and working shoulder bumps to the left shoulder of Goldust. Goldust countering back and both men down. Off the ropes, clotheslines and a drop-down slap from Goldust followed by a spinebuster. In the corner, five mounted punches before Swagger lifts Goldust. Goldust drops down and hits a sunset flip bomb for a quick nearfall. Back elbow out of the corner connect and Goldust up top, but Swagger sweeps him down to the mat. Patriot Lock in for Swagger. Struggling and writhing in pain, Goldust looks for the rope. Cesaro pulls it away and he is soon taken out by Rhodes. Back inside, Goldust with shots to the body and Final Cut connects.

Winner by pinfall: Goldust

Match Two: AJ Lee, Tamina Snuka, & Aksana vs. Natalya & The Bella Twins

Brie Bella and AJ Lee start off. Lockup leads to a stalemate and Brie with a shot to the body. Arm wrench and AJ has one of her own next. Brie using the ropes to flip out and hit a fireman's carry. Both ladies exchanging offense. Nikki Bella in and a double-team maneuver brings in Aksana. Nikki Bella kicks Aksana down and brings in Natalya for a rollup nearfall.

Sitout scoop slam from Natalya gets a close nearfall. Aksana moves to bring in Tamina Snuka, who works Natalya over in the corner. Samoan Drop gets a nearfall and AJ brought back in to pick up the scraps for a nearfall. Swinging neckbreaker gets AJ another nearfall.

Aksana returns and clubs Natalya down. Single-leg crab locked in and Natalya struggling. Roll through breaks the hold, but Aksana clubs Natalya down before she can make the tag. Snuka back inside and a snap suplex gets a brief nearfall. Corner work from Snuka further wearing Natalya down. Splash in the corner misses and Natalya gets Nikki in. Headscissors takeover and a corner splash connect. Mule kick out of the corner followed by a bulldog for a nearfall. All of the ladies inside knocking each other down and Tamina stands tall. Nikki from behind with a rollup.

Match Three: Fandango (w/Summer Rae) vs. Kofi Kingston

Fandango with a snapmare and Kofi Kingston turns it into a hammerlock. Rope break resets the offense. Kingston with a side headlock takeover and another grappling stalemate between the two. Fandango gets a side headlock of his own and follows with a shoulder bump. Knee drop misses and Kingston with an arm drag into a wristlock. Knee drop into the left arm of Fandango is followed by a keylock on the left arm. Both men exchanging counters on the mat. Fandango off the ropes and he runs into a dropkick before he moves outside.

After regrouping with Summer Rae, Fandango looks to move inside. Kingston feigns a flying attack and Fandango tosses his shirt at him. Fandango wants it back, but Kingston tosses it out to the crowd. Sneak attack fails and Fandango sent out. Springboard moonsault connects outside as we break.

We return with Kingston hitting an arm drag into an armbar on Fandango. Kingston brought down by his hair, but Fandango again misses a knee drop and Kingston with another arm drag into an armbar. Keylock now in, but Fandango out with a knee to the body to lock in a keylock of his own. Kingston flips out for an arm drag and hits a knee for a nearfall.

Off the ropes, Kingston runs into an elbow. Fandango now in control as Kingston is on the apron. Whip into the post sends Kingston to the floor. Kingston rammed into the apron and has his head bounced off the steel steps. Back inside, Fandango with elbows to the left arm and working another keylock. Fireman's carry on the arm from Fandango gets a nearfall.

Knee in the elbow joint and Fandango stretching the arm. Strikes keeping Kingston in it, but a knee to the stomach from Fandango ends the resurgent offense. Corner work from Fandango further wearing down Kingston. Kingston kicks Fandango away, but Fandango right back on top with corner work. Whip sends Kingston into the corner, but he comes out with a missile dropkick that puts both men down.

Back up, Kingston with clotheslines. Fandango sidesteps to land a stunning strike, but Kingston with a trio of rollups. Fandango with one of his own. SOS as they both return to the feet to earn Kingston a nearfall. Kingston up top with an axhandle smash and a Boom Drop connects. Trouble in Paradise misses and Fandango drops Kingston with a head kick for a nearfall.

A cornered Kingston ducks a splash from Fandango to hit a pendulum kick. Kingston up top, but Fandango meets him to land a few strikes. Kingston is able to fight him off, but Fandango back with a forearm. Superplex attempt from Fandango countered by a front suplex. Summer Rae up on the apron and Fandango is able to get up and crotch Kingston. Sitout suplex from the top connects and leg drop from the top follows.

Winner by pinfall: Fandango

The show closes with Fandango and Summer Rae dancing at the top of the ramp in celebration of their victory.
