Impact: Feast or Fired brings rewards and risk

Feast or Fired is back in TNA and a TNA X Division, Tag Team, and World Heavyweight title shot hang in the balance. Then, of course, one case will send someone home with a pink slip. Tonight on TNA Impact, Feast or Fired determines the future for four men. Plus, a showdown between Magnus and Jeff Hardy prior to their tournament final for the new TNA World Heavyweight Championship. All that and more on this week's edition of TNA Impact!

Recap of the rivalry of TNA World Heavyweight Champion AJ Styles and TNA President Dixie Carter.

TNA Chief of Staff Rockstard Spud on the phone with Carter and he leaves a voicemail to inform her that he is on his way to meet AJ Styles.

We are on tape from Orlando, Fla. Mike Tenay and Taz have the call for this week.

Jeremy Borash reintroduces the "Feast or Fired " concept. Borash explains that various title shots and a pink slip are among the four cases. Borash moves to the Wheel of Dixie to determine what type of match will be in order for the TNA World Heavyweight Championship Tournament.

Kurt Angle is out and he chases Borash off before knocking everything in the ring down. Angle wants Bobby Roode and he soon gets his wish. Roode comes out fired up, but turns down the challenge. Roode says he has beaten Angle in every facet since his turning down of the TNA Hall of Fame induction. Angle vows to never let Roode beat him again and believes he can beat him twice in one night. Angle wants to prove it right now and the brawl is on. Roode has his head bounced off the steel steps. Action moves inside and Angle takes him down and pummels him. Security and referees down to separate the two men, but they fail a few times. Angle now restrained and Roode punts him in the groin. Roode challenges Angle to a 2 out of 3 falls matchup at TNA Final Resolution next week.

Video package recaps the hazing of Joseph Park at the hands of Bad Influence.

Eric Young and Joseph Park preparing for their match tonight. Young asks Park if he is ready for tonight. Park is uncertain and Young tells him to trust him and prove himself tonight.

Match One: Bad Influence vs. Eric Young & Joseph Park

Eric Young starts off with Christopher Daniels. Lockup is feigned by Daniels and he gets a side headlock. Young counters with a flying forearm and wrenches the arm of Daniels before bringing in Joseph Park. Park has his eyes raked as he attempts the arm wrench. Daniels works him over in the corner, but misses an elbow.

Young back in and he levels Daniels with a dropkick. Daniels tags out to Kazarian, but he gets bodydropped into the air. Young mounts Kaz in the corner and unleashes ten punches to the head. Tag brings Park in again. Suplex attempt is countered by Kaz and he dropkicks Park into the corner. Daniels back in and a Bad Influence double-team attack puts Park. Stomps and strikes as Park is toyed with by Daniels. Kaz returns and does a little of the same before knocking Young off the apron. Daniels holds Park as Kaz slaps him around. Young inside to send both men out.

A frustrated Young headlocks and tags Park in the forehead over and over. Park is beside himself, but Young shows him the cut he has opened up. Bad Influence tries to attack Park from behind, but they are both clotheslined down. Chokeslam on Kaz and a huge backbreaker on Daniels. Shoulder ram from Kaz on the apron and he flips inside, but runs right into a Black Hole Slam.

Winners by pinfall: Eric Young & Joseph Park

Post-match, Eric Young apologizes for the craziness of the match. Young informs Park that he cannot find Abyss because he is Abyss. Park looks stunned and confused.

Impact 365 shows Ethan Carter III promising to have a moment tonight that will make social media explode.

Ethan Carter III out to make the announcement of his opponent. ECIII informs referee Brian Hebner that he is safe this week and he wants to try something different tonight. Social media will explode because he plans to take out TNA Social Media Manager Jeremy Borash.

Sting comes out to prevent the match. Sting mocks the ascension of Carter when he hasn't done anything in wrestling. All Carter has is a name and Sting says that shouldn't open doors for him. Sting says men will take risks tonight in the Feast or Fired matchup and Sting challenges him to either enroll in that match or fight him right now. Carter accepts the challenge of Sting and squares up before revealing he will participate in Feast or Fired.

Rockstar Spud stops at a gas station to ask about the whereabouts of AJ Styles. Styles usually drinks with some friends at a bar down the road.

TNA Knockouts Champion Gail Kim and Lei'D Tapa. Gail Kim believes the competition the past few weeks have been subpar and invites the next challenger out. ODB makes her way out and Gail Kim tells her to get out as she has beaten her week after week. ODB says she is out for Tapa.

ODB pops her with the microphone and goes to work. Gail Kim dropped with a clothesline. Body slam attempt on Tapa is stopped when Gail Kim sweeps the knee. Both ladies stomping her down. Madison Rayne out to make the save and both ladies fight off Tapa and stand triumphant in the ring.

Rockstar Spud at the bar. Spud sits down and asks for information about Styles, but the bartender gives him the wrong drink and no information.

Rockstar Spud shown getting a little too excited during karaoke and he gets kicked out of the bar.

Video package previews Feast or Fired.

Gunner and "Cowboy" James Storm discussing their partnership backstage. Gunner apologizes for last week. Storm says both men could grab cases and get all the gold, but Gunner mentions they could be fired. Storm drops his signature phrase and walks off.

TNA President Dixie Carter makes her way out. Carter is upset at Angle breaking the Wheel of Dixie earlier in the night. Carter moves on to Styles, saying she will be getting a new TNA World Heavyweight Champion next week to replace him and invites out the competitors.

Magnus and Jeff Hardy enter. Carter asks both men if they have final words to say to each other. Hardy talks about his run at the title last year and how he and his creatures will be taking the title next week. Magnus knows the crowd is behind Hardy and thanks Hardy for bringing in so many people. However, next week Hardy just becomes an obstacle and he plans to defeat him nextt week.

Carter tells the men they will compete in a Dixie Land match next week. The match starts in a cage and a ladder will be on the stage where the belt hangs from the ceiling. Carter states the winner will represent TNA along with her and invites the men to join her at her VIP table.

TNA X Division Champion Chris Sabin asking his girfriend Velvet Sky if she has his back tonight in his title defense against Austin Aries. Sky replies affirmatively and Sabin throws some backhanded remarks as they walk away.

Rockstar Spud shown entering the home of AJ Styles thrown an open backdoor. Spud looking for the title and he sits on the couch to think where Styles would put the belt. He puts his feet up right on the belt and takes it out of its case. AJ Styles makes his way downstairs and takes a few verbal shots at Spud before Spud attempts to run out with the title. Styles yanks it away from him and Spud scurries out of the house.

Mr. Anderson backstage. Anderson is focused after the funeral for Aces & Eights and he is ready to get back on the road to the TNA World Heavyweight Championship in Feast or Fired tonight.

Match Two for the TNA X Division Championship: Chris Sabin (c) (w/Velvet Sky) vs. Austin Aries

Lockup and Austin Aries nabs the side headlock. Chris Sabin with a handful of hair to drive Aries back into the corner. Both men exchange shots and Sabin gets the side headlock. Sabin off the ropes, but Aries leapfrogging and ducking. Process repeats and Sabin stops to elbow Aries, but Aries rolls out.

Sabin moves outside after being frustrated. Aries perched in the corner in his signature pose. Sabin charges, but Aries flips down to the floor and Sabin runs into the turnbuckle. Aries with a victory lap outside. He takes a look at Velvet Sky and Sabin slides out. Aries quickly slides in and hits a slide kicks outside. Aries on the apron and Sabin embraces Sky to escape punishment. Aries walking over and Sabin releases Sky to sweep the legs of Aries. Aries falls out on the apro and the floor.

Back inside, Sabin in control with strikes. Aries floats over in the corner and hits a forearm before going up top. Missile dropkick misses and Sabin with a tilt-a-whirl gutbuster on Aries that gets a quick trio of nearfalls. Sabin with strikes before he locks in the abdominal stretch. Front suplex on Aries onto the top rope gets a nearfall.

Sabin looking for it again and Aries with a series of body shots. Aries with a front suplex of the same variation and Sabin on the apron. Aries boxing the ears and landing forearm after forearm. Running discus forearm sends Sabin tumbling to the floor. Axhandle smash to the neck of Sabin out on the floor.

Back inside, Aries connects with a missile dropkick that corners Sabin. Aries tries a running dropkick, but Sabin mule kicks him away. Aries cornered now and he steps out as Sabin charges to arm drag him right into the corner on his back. Sky trying to support Sabin and Sabin won't let go of her hand. Aries breaks the headlock to step towards Sky, so Sabin with a cheap rollup for a nearfall. Sabin nearly kicked into Sky by Aries on the kick out and Sabin turns right into a Brainbuster.

Winner by pinfall and NEW TNA X Division Champion: Austin Aries

Backstage, Chris Sabin stressing about the loss. Austin Aries walks up and Sabin informs him that he will be entering Feast or Fired. Aries steals his idea and threatens to steal Sabin's girlfriend as well.

Magnus discussing the Dixie Land match and saying he can't be concerned with getting a drink with Carter. Magnus has a call to take that cuts the interview short.

Prior to his entrance in the Feast or Fired matchup, Mr. Anderson is attacked from behind by Bully Ray. Bully piledrives Anderson on the stage. Bully believes Anderson has taken his future away from him and promises to control the future of Anderson's twin children that are soon to be born.

Feast or Fired Match Three: Samoa Joe vs. Chris Sabin vs. Zema Ion vs. Curry Man vs. Hernandez vs. Chavo Guerrero vs. Dewey Barnes vs. Norv Fernum vs. "Cowboy" James Storm vs. Gunner vs. Austin Aries vs. Ethan Carter III

Curry Man immediately leaves the ring. Chris Sabin handling Dewey Barnes and Norv Fernum outside and Austin Aries takes them all out with a corkscrew crossbody. Zema Ion takes Aries out and Hernandez soon takes all out with Air Mexico. Gunner backdrops James Storm outside on top of everyone. Fernum and Barnes now with the flip dives to take out everyone. Samoa Joe ends it by smashing everyone with a suicide dive.

Ethan Carter III feigns going for a flying attack, but he heads up one corner and gets Case 3 as we break.

We return with Samoa Joe clearing everyone out and taking out Hernandez with an enzuigiri. Storm and Gunner taken out by Joe, then the team of Fernum and Barnes as well. Sabin up top and he bites the head of Joe. Tornado DDT attempt from Sabin is countered into an STJoe. Joe focusing on Ion now, but Barnes and Fernum throw him over the top and head for a case together.

Ion pushes both to the floor and retrieves Case 2.

Aries going for Case 4 as action trickles back in the ring, but he hits Hernandez and Storm with a springboard crossbody instead. Forearms for everyone by Aries. Hernandez tries to stop that, but he is clobbered with a discus forearm. Corner dropkicks for Guerrero, Storm, Gunner, and Hernandez. Joe sent back to the floor. Aries on fire and he hits a 450 Splash on Barnes and Fernum. Case 4 in the clutch of Aries, but Sabin pulls him to the floor.

Back inside, Joe jabbing Guerrero down in the corner. Guerrero turns the tide and flips out of the corner. Hernandez in front of him and presses him up into the corner to retrieve Case 4.

Gunner and Storm teaming up on Hernandez. Corner clothesline drops Hernandez, but he kicks Gunner away and the two up top. Gunner shoved down and Fernum and Barnes up top now to land the superplex. Gunner gets under the two and powerbombs both down to the canvas.

Case 1 being fought for by Storm and Joe. Storm with a Last Call Superkick that sends Joe down to the floor. Storm up top and Gunner crotches Storm. Gunner retrieves Case 1.

Winners: Ethan Carter III, Zema Ion, Chavo Guerrero, and Gunner

The show closes with Jeff Hardy joining TNA President Dixie Carter at her VIP table for dinner.
