Impact: Hardy, Magnus set for TNA title finals

The TNA World Heavyweight Championship Tournament is down to the semifinals. With Bobby Roode taking on Jeff Hardy in a tables match and Magnus facing Kurt Angle in a last man standing contest, will the two rivals advance and face in the finals? Tonight on TNA Impact, the finals are determined to see who will face off for the new incarnation of the TNA World Heavyweight Championship. Plus, what does AJ Styles have in store for TNA President Dixie Carter? All that and more on this week's edition of TNA Impact!

We are on tape from Orlando, Fla. Mike Tenay and Taz have the call for this week.

Kurt Angle makes his way out to the ring. Angle states everything he is thankful for and that Aries gave him the fight of his life last week. However, Magnus is much closer to Angle and he expects a fight as he invites Magnus out to join him in the ring.

Magnus heads down the ramp. Angle says Magnus left him against four wrestlers. Magnus states his respect for Angle and details the knee injury that sidelined him during the match. Angle believes champions fight with aches and pains and Angle questions whether Magnus has the heart of a champion. Magnus believes he has heart and hunger to beat anyone that stands in the way of the TNA World Heavyweight Championship. Angle says Magnus has to go through him as well and everyone stands in the way of his destiny.

Bobby Roode interrupts the two. Roode knows the hunger and heart it takes to be a champion. Roode rekindled the killer instinct he had when he held the title and he showed it last time out against "Cowboy" James Storm and plans to do the same against Jeff Hardy in their tables match tonight. Roode tells Magnus he will never be a champion.

Jeff Hardy heads down the ramp while dragging a table behind him. Hardy believes Roode has to go through him and all of his fans. Hardy plans to put Roode through a table next.

TNA World Heavyweight Championship Tournament Tables Match One: Bobby Roode vs. Jeff Hardy

We start with a lockup. Bobby Roode unloading strikes and corner work on Jeff Hardy. Hardy now fighing back with strikes of his own and a clothesline. Atomic drop followed by a leg drop to the crotch. Dropkick connects and Hardy now working Roode over in the corner. Hardy sent off and he floats over to dropkick the head of Roode into the turnbuckle.

Hardy moves out to grab a table. Roode slide kicks the table into Hardy, who careens into the barricade. Roode now in control with punches and slamming Hardy on the apron before sending him back in. Roode now bringing a table into the ring. Table is set up in the corner. Chops in the opposite corner by Roode and both men attempt hip tosses, but Hardy is turned inside out by a lariat from Roode.

Roode resetting and he gives Hardy too much time to recover. Hardy with a back elbow in the corner and tries a Whisper in the Wind, but splashes on the canvas. Roode has Hardy on his shoulders, but Hardy is able to move to the apron. Roode follows and both trading near a set table outside. Roode has a handful of hair and attempts to yank Hardy back, but Hardy kicks the arm of Roode off and both fall through the table. Referee Brian Hebner confused as we break.

We return and the match has been restarted. Commercial action shows the referee crew making the decision. Roode has a table set in the corner and he plants Hardy with a spinebuster. Roode now moves the table parallel to the corner. Hardy once again hoisted on the shoulders of Roode, but he tumbles off and hits the Twist of Fate. Roode on the table and Hardy up for the Swanton Bomb. Roode rolls off, but Hardy leaps over the table to hit the Swanton. Roode sat up top now and Hardy looking for the superplex through the table. Counter from Roode crotches Hardy on the top rope.

Both men down after that exchange. Roode on the apron and he is now looking to suplex Hardy out to table set up at the end of the ramp. Hardy reverses it and attempts a kick. Roode catches the kick, but Hardy twists into a step-over kick and Roode falls back through the table.

Winner: Jeff Hardy

TNA President Dixie Carter shown on IMPACT 365 receiving notice from the agent of TNA World Heavyweight Champion AJ Styles that the belt will be returned next week.

Ethan Carter III out for his announcement. EC3 claims to have taken on legends and international talents during his undefeated streak. EC3 challenges a man who has been in the ring with Andre the Giant, Hulk Hogan, and Bret Hart. EC3 challenges TNA Senior Official Earl Hebner. Hebner says this won't be happening because he is a referee. EC3 says Hebner represents the one percent and Carter makes his money work for him. EC3 claims this will be happening and he has a special referee in place.

TNA Chief of Staff Rockstar Spud brings out Brian Hebner. EC3 tells the elder Hebner to lay down for him and his "disappointment of a son" will count the pinfall. Hebner starts to lay down, then stands. Carter threatens to put him down and Hebner lays down.

Match Two: Ethan Carter III vs. Earl Hebner

Bell rings and Ethan Carter III puts his finger on the chest of Earl Hebner. EC3 tells official Brian Hebner to begin to the count.

Winner by pinfall: Ethan Carter III

Post-match, EC3 instructs Brian Hebner to roll Earl Hebner out of the ring and raise his hand.

Video package recaps the conflict between the Park family and Bad Influence. IMPACT 365 shows Bad Influence messing around backstage and promising to reveal the truth about Joseph Park tonight.

Christy Hemme and Sam Shaw shown on a date. Hemme heads to the bathroom and the waiter comes back for the check, where Shaw tells him he will kill him if he looks at Hemme again.

Recap of the conflict between TNA President Dixie Carter and TNA World Heavyweight Champion AJ Styles. Carter is shown backstage, awaiting the arrival of the title belt. She receives flowers instead and flies off the handle, telling no one to bother her unless they have a belt in hand.

Dixie Carter introduces "Feast or Fired" for next week.

Bad Influence make their way out. The group is ready to share the truth about Joseph Park after all the criticism the two have received for allegedly bullying him the past few weeks.

Joseph Park makes his way out to confront the two. Park tells the group they need to stop because they've accomplished what they wanted to do. Park laments that he should maybe not be here and stick to being an attorney. Kaz sticks the envelope up, saying they have information about Park's job as an attorney. The envelope is snatched and ripped by Park, but Bad Influence laughs as they already have it set up to be shown on the big screen.

IMPACT 365 rolls Kazarian and Christopher Daniels.at the law offices of Joseph Park. The group enters the suite to find nothing. The secretary of the building says the suite belonged to a doctor and they want to look up the location of Park, Park, and Park. The group finds out the offices closed 13 years ago.

Bad Influence asks what Joseph Park has been doing for the past 13 years. Park asks the group to leave him alone. Kaz tells Park he won't leave him alone and the group proceeds to beat Park down. Eric Young makes his way out to save his tag partner. Young advises the group to stop pressing the buttons of Park and challenges them to a match next week.

Magnus and Sting shown backstage. Sting tells Magnus how proud he is of how far he's come. Sting and him talk entitlement, but Magnus brushes them off as rumors and the two are both excited for the match later tonight.

Rockstar Spud receives notice that the TNA World Heavyweight Championship will be returned.

Match Three: The BroMans vs. "Cowboy" James Storm & Gunner

Jessie Godderz starts off with "Cowboy" James Storm. Storm grabs the side headlock and hits a shoulder bump. Hip toss attempt from Jessie is countered by Storm and Gunner brought in to hit a corner clothesline. Bulldog from Storm allows Gunner to get a nearfall.

Robbie E in, but he is pressed into the air and dropped by Gunner. Corner work from Gunner on Robbie E, but Robbie slaps Gunner and cowers outside to bring Jessie back in. Gunner hip tosses Jessie back in and knocks him down for a brief nearfall. Huge chops and punches in the corner connecting for Gunner. The BroMans now using some sneaky and illegal offense that sees Jessie land a nice dropkick for a nearfall.

Corner work from Jessie on a rocked Gunner. Stomps put Gunner down. Elbow driven into the chest of Gunner. Choke across the ropes hurting Gunner. Gunner countering now and pulls Jessie into a fallaway slam. James Storm in now and nails Jessie with a series of clotheslines and strikes. Atomic drop into a neckbreaker from Storm. Robbie E sent out after an attempt at interference. Closing Time and Last Call connect for Storm. Robbie E in and he spits a drink on Gunner. Gunner loses it and clobbering Robbie E. Referee attempting to break the two up and Gunner tosses him away.

Winners by disqualification: The BroMans

Sting heading to the locker room of Kurt Angle. Rockstar Spud cuts in and wants to know what Sting wants to talk with Angle about. The two exchange barbs before Spud tells Sting to leave at the order of Carter. Sting tells him she can tell him to his face and heads off.

IMPACT 365 shows TNA Knockouts Champion Gail Kim and husband Robert Irvine sharing a moment. The two agree that no one should step up to take her on if they are just going to waste time in a loss.

IMPACT 365 shows TNA X Division Champion Chris Sabin with girlfriend Velvet Sky. Sabin details the loss to Jeff Hardy and his rebound that will come when he defeats Austin Aries and defends his belt.

Match Four: Gail Kim (w/Lei'D Tapa) vs. Laura Dennis

Gail Kim opens up kicking Laura Dennis and working her from corner to corner. Dennis dropped by a punch and Gail Kim hits a straitjacket neckbreaker for a nearfall.

Forearms and a corner splash again put Dennis on the mat. Ax kick to the mat and Gail Kim just toying with Dennis. Huge shoulder ram in the corner and Gail Kim again toying with her. Dennis slaps Gail Kim and unloads with forearms and knocks her down with a clothesline. Shoulder bump gets Dennis a nearfall. Huge corner splash attempt is mule kicked away by Gail Kim. Eat Defeat connects.

Winner by pinfall: Gail Kim

Post-match, Gail Kim gives Dennis another Eat Defeat and Lei'D Tapa sets her up for the TKO. ODB runs out to make the save and clothesline Gail Kim down. Huge chopping blows to the chest and face of Tapa before she is sent out with a clothesline.

Dixie Carter on the phone with Rockstar Spud and tells him to bring the package in to her office.

TNA World Heavyweight Championship Tournament Last Man Standing Match Five: Magnus vs. Kurt Angle

Lockup and Magnus drives Kurt Angle into the corner. Lockup again sees Angle get the takedown and the front facelock. Angle showing off his amateur wrestling skills early. Arm wrench now in for Magnus and the two trading submission holds. Arm wrench into an armbar for Magnus is countered into an Ankle Lock attempt by Angle. Action resets off the chain grappling. Magnus grabs the side headlock and wrenching the hold. Saito Suplex only allows Magnus to work the hold more. Magnus finally sent off and hits the shoulder block. Angle leapfrogging and ducking to grab a belly-to-belly suplex. Referee gets a small count on Magnus before he returns to his feet.

Both men exchanging offense and Magnus with a clothesline that earns a small count on Angle. Right hands and corner work from Magnus grinding Angle down. Scoop slam attempt is flipped out by Angle. Both men with clotheslines and both men down. Both men up at the same time and Magnus with a clothesline as it returns to the feet for a small count. Magnus in control with strikes as we break.

Match action is interrupted by Rockstar Spud delivering the package to the office of Dixie Carter.

Angle slammed down off a driver from Magnus. Angle down, but he hits a series of German Suplexes as the action resets. Angle refusing to relinquish the gutwrench as he hits Magnus with five or six suplexes. Magnus gathering his bearings as the referee counts. Angle spears Magnus to the outside and both men are down and out on the arena floor.

Magnus up to the apron and Angle attempting a German Suplex to the floor, but Magnus elbows his way out. Angle out on the floor and Magnus with an elbow drop from the apron that puts both men down once again. Angle barely makes the count.

Action returns to the ring and Magnus up top. Angle leaps up and hits the belly-to-belly suplex on Magnus. The referee beginning a count as Angle leans on the ropes. Magnus barely beats the count and Angle with a snap suplex that plants Magnus on the mat. Angle heads up top and goes for the moonsault, but he splatters on the mat. STO from Magnus as both men return to the feet and a top-rope elbow drop connects for Magnus. Angle gets up with a second to spare.

Magnus sent into the referee and Angle connects with an Angle Slam. Angle cannot revive the referee and Bobby Roode in with a clothesline from behind. Death Valley Driver plants Angle down flat on his back. Roode wakes the referee and Magnus uses the ropes to get to his feet.

Winner: Magnus

Bobby Roode returns post-match to beat Angle down. Jeff Hardy makes his way out to save Angle. Magnus and Hardy stare down and shake hands in the center of the ring.

Rockstar Spud and Dixie Carter open up the package next week and the package contains a paper championship.

The show closes with TNA World Heavyweight Champion AJ Styles inviting Dixie Carter to come down to Georgia to take the title from him.
