Main Event: Divas in lumberjill match before Survivor Series

The "Fall Classic" of the WWE is right around the corner, as Survivor Series returns for its yearly installment this Sunday. Momentum is key as we approach the show and many WWE superstars aim to take home wins as they head into the home stretch. Tonight on WWE Main Event, a lumberjill match is contested between Naomi and Tamina Snuka with the Total Divas and the newly-christened True Divas as lumberjills. Plus, Alberto Del Rio preps for his WWE World Heavyweight Championship shot! All that and more on this week's edition of WWE Main Event.

We are on tape from Atlanta, Ga. Josh Mathews and The Miz have the call for this week.

Lumberjill Match: Tamina Snuka vs. Naomi

Lockup and Tamina Snuka easily shoves Naomi away. Another lockup and Snuka with a series of knees to the stomach. Naomi sent into the corner, but she moves to the apron to land a kick and a sunset flip for a brief nearfall. Snuka back with the power as the action moves back to the feet. Gutwrench takedowns plant Naomi into the mat. Forearm shots from Naomi connect and she heads off the ropes, but is flattened by a clothesline for a Snuka nearfall. Frontflip clothesline from Naomi gets a nearfall of her own.

Action stalls as Naomi locks in the front facelock. Snuka struggles back to her feet and runs Naomi into the corner for some brief corner work. Naomi sent into the opposite corner, but she floats over to hit a dropkick for a quick nearfall. The front facelock reapplied by Naomi. Armwrench into a fireman's carry gets another momentary nearfall. Snuka put in the corner and she turns the tide to work Naomi in the corner. Whip attempt is thwarted by Naomi hooking the rope, so she is sent out by a Snuka clothesline. The Total Divas and the True Divas converge outside. Naomi stands in the middle as WWE Divas Champion AJ Lee laughs behind as we break.

Rear chinlock applied on Naomi by Tamina Snuka as we return.. Fighting back to her feet, Naomi wills herself into a snapmare to send Snuka away. Snuka worked into the corner and stomped down by Naomi. High kick attempt sees Snuka block it and kick the other leg out. Left leg being targeted now by Snuka. Nearfall for Snuka doesn't last long.

Naomi dropped with a back elbow as she fights back with body shots. Snuka locks in the rear chinlock once again. Naomi bridges up and throws a few shots, but her left leg is struck by Snuka yet again. Naomi being choked on the rope and Snuka uses this to get a quick nearfall. DDT on the leg gets another nearfall.

Tossed to the outside, Naomi is able to get back in with little trouble. Counterattack by Naomi sees her land a monkey flip. Snuka still in control by working the leg and punting the head. Saito Suplex attempt by Snuka is flipped out of by Naomi, who lands an enzuigiri and leg drop pairing for a nearfall.

Whip attempt sees Naomi slide outside to avoid the attack from Snuka. Shoulder ram to the stomach on the apron and a brawl erupts outside between the Diva factions. Head kick connects and stuns Snuka. Naomi distracted momentarily by the action outside and is shoved into the pile by Snuka. Naomi whips Snuka into the apron and heads up top as the action returns to the ring. Crossbody from the top connects for Naomi. Both women up and Naomi turns right into a superkick.

Winner by pinfall: Tamina Snuka

Match Two: Alberto Del Rio vs. Santino Marella

Santino Marella opening up with some unorthodox striking that Alberto Del Rio is not fazed by. Tie-up and Del Rio tries a throw, but Marella cartwheels to avoid it. Side kick to the chest of Marella starts a string of power offense for Del Rio that gets a nearfall. Snap suplex connects for another quick nearfall before Del Rio snatches an armbar. Marella up and out with body shots, but Del Rio drops him with a series of headbutts. Del Rio with strikes to keep Marella grounded. Float over by Marella as he is whipped into the corner, but his arm drag attempt misses and Del Rio plants him with a dropkick for a nearfall.

Rear chinlock put in on Marella. Fighting out, Marella with body shots to send Del Rio into the corner. Step-up enzuigiri connects as Marella misses a splash in the corner. Del Rio now on the offensive as he locks in another armbar on the left arm. Marella again striking his way out, but he is dropped by a tilt-a-whirl slam. Del Rio striking him down, but Marella up and hits his hip toss. Headbutt misses for Marella and Del Rio nails him with a side kick. Cross Armbreaker locked in.

Winner by submission: Alberto Del Rio

Match Three: Kofi Kingston vs. Fandango (w/Summer Rae)

Lockup and both men grapple to a stalemate until Kofi Kingston is wobbled by the strikes of Fandango. Kingston sent into the corner, but he floats over to hit a headscissors takeover that sends Fandango frustrated to the outside. Fandango taking his time outside and Kingston reaches after him, only to be hit with a hangman's neckbreaker. Knees to the face from Fandango followed up by a European Uppercut for a nearfall.

Side headlock in for Fandango. Kingston fights to his feet, but is put down by a shoulder bump. Kingston leapfrogging and ducking Fandango, who hooks the ropes for safety on the dropkick attempt. Kick of his own is caught by Kingston, who hits a spinning heel kick for a nearfall.

Kingston with a few roundhouse kicks to the chest. Off the ropes, Kingston tries to have Fandango pick him up to counter into a bulldog, but Fandango counters with a Saito Suplex for a quick nearfall. Fandango headed up top, but Kingston moves to the floor. Kingston rolls under the ring to the next side and uses the steps to come down with an axhandle smash on Fandango. Kingston staring down his Survivor Series opponent, The Miz, as we break.

Fandango takes control of the action as we return. Kingston countering and tossing Fandango to the mat and into the corner. Fandango hoists Kingston over as he tries a splash and Kingston crashes on his elbow on the steel steps. Fandango steps out to work the left arm on the apron. Keylock in on Kingston. Kingston attempting to work out of the hold and he is able to break it with strikes. Sunset flip attempt from Kingston is countered by Fandango stepping over and dropping the knee on the arm. More work on the arm and Kingston hits a jawbreaker to break the hold. Both men exchanging strikes and Kingston lands his series of clotheslines into the Boom Drop. Trouble in Paradise attempt misses, but Kingston ducks the clothesline and hits a springboard crossbody for a nearfall.

Fandango attempting to work the arm and spin Kingston to the mat, but Kingston fights out and sends Fandango to the floor. Kingston attempts a flying attack, but Fandango side steps and Kingston splatters on the floor. Both men regrouping and Kingston launches Fandango into The Miz outside.

Action back inside and The Miz attempts to attack Kingston as he goes inside. Kingston leaps into a slide kick between the ropes to send Miz tumbling back to the announce table. Fandango from behind with a rollup.

Winner by pinfall: Fandango

The show closes with Kingston and Miz arguing.
