Main Event: AJ and Natalya battle for Divas gold

WWE Divas Champion AJ Lee has held the title for 151 days now. In a changing WWE that is constantly being rattled at the hands of The Authority, Lee remains a constant figurehead of dominance. Tonight on WWE Main Event, Lee puts up her strap against Natalya. Can the star of Total Divas and graduate of the Dungeon master the Black Widow? Plus, tag action! All that and more on this week's edition of WWE Main Event!

We are on tape from Manchester, United Kingdom. Josh Mathews and Alex Riley have the call for this week.

Match One for the WWE Divas Championship: AJ Lee (w/Tamina Snuka) (c) vs. Natalya

Lockup and Natalya hits a side headlock takeover on AJ. Legscissors counter from AJ, but rollup from Natalya gets a quick nearfall. AJ gets a side headlock and refuses to relinquish the hold. Takeover as Natalya tries a Saito Suplex counter from AJ. Cradle gets Natalya another nearfall as the action returns to the feet. Hammerlock counter after some elbows to the torso by Natalya. AJ counters out into an arm wrench. Counter grapple sees Natalya land a Northern Lights Suplex for a nearfall.

AJ regains control and looks for a sunset flip coming off the ropes, but Natalya picks her up by her neck. Float over in the corner by AJ allows her to stomp Natalya down in the corner after yanking her to the mat by her hair. Splash misses for AJ and Natalya with a spinning scoop slam before some corner work. Sharpshooter attempt is kicked away from by AJ, who moves outside to regroup. Natalya chases, but she is cut off by Tamina Snuka. AJ tries a slide kick from inside, but she is caught by Natalya and thrown into the barricade.

Back inside, a corner splash misses for Natalya. Back elbow prevents any offense from AJ and Natalya up top. Sweep of the leg sends Natalya crashing to the mat and she rolls to the floor outside as we break.

We return with WWE Divas Champion AJ working the rear chinlock on challenger Natalya. Natalya sent off the ropes and AJ hits a spinning heel kick for a quick nearfall. AJ chokes Natalya on the second rope and works her in the corner before tossing her outside. Referee forced to tie up AJ, allowing Snuka to stomp her outside. AJ runs Natalya into the apron outside and gains a nearfall back inside.

Sleeper now locked in across the neck by AJ. AJ drags her to the mat, but Natalya slowly fighting to her feet. Natalya up, but AJ with a tug of the hair to pull her down. Skipping around the ring gets AJ rolled up for a flash nearfall. Back elbow drops AJ. Off the ropes, AJ hits a tornado DDT in a counter to Natalya's offense for a nearfall.

Black Widow attempt is turned into an arm drag by Natalya. Push kick followed by a clothesline for Natalya. Snap suplex followed by a dropkick into the back. Spinning lariat gets a quick nearfall for the challenger. Sharpshooter attempt by Natalya is again kicked away by AJ. Series of nearfalls for AJ off various rollups is countered by the Sharpshooter finally being locked in. AJ inching to the ropes, but Natalya drags her back to the center. Snuka enters the ring and knocks Natalya out with a side kick.

Winner by disqualification: Natalya

Post-match, the retaining WWE Divas Champion locks in the Black Widow on Natalya as Snuka looks on.

Match Two: Tyson Kidd vs. Justin Gabriel

Lockup and both men exchanging holds and counters. Tyson Kidd gets the arm wrench. Justin Gabriel twists and turns his way out into an arm drag. Kidd uses it to grab the hammerlock. Gabriel turns out into one of his own. Kidd moves to the ropes and steps to the apron to hammerlock the arm of Gabriel on the ropes.

Reset in the action sees the two test their strength. Kidd forced down into a bridge to avoid the pin. Kidd isolates the arm and springboards to hit an arm drag. Another arm drag into the keylock. Back to the feet, Gabriel sends Kidd off the ropes, but he hooks the rope to push kick himself to the apron. Headscissors takeover moves the action to the floor.

Steel steps come into play as Kidd is reversed into them, but flips over them. Gabriel is right behind to use them as a launching pad for a flying clothesline. Back inside, Gabriel hits a springboard crossbody for a brief nearfall. Straitjacket choke from Gabriel. Kidd fights up, but he is clubbed back down by Gabriel. Kick to the chest counters the bodydrop and Kidd with flashy kicks into a dropkick for a nearfall.

Kidd with a German Suplex attempt, but Gabriel flips out. Attempt of the same maneuver is countered by Kidd with a back elbow. Kidd gutwrenched up and he looks for the bulldog, but Gabriel pops the hips back for a German Suplex for a close nearfall. Gabriel with leg kicks and spinning back kick that drops Kidd in the corner. Splash attempt misses for Gabriel, but he catches himself on the second rope. Kidd leaps up to land a Russian Legsweep from the second rope for a nearfall.

Elbows and kicks from Kidd connect. Gabriel breaks an attempted strikes with his leg and hits a back heel trip. Up top, Gabriel is crotched down as Kidd bumps the top rope. Chop to the chest and Kidd goes up top. Hurricanrana connects for Kidd, but Gabriel rolls through.

Winner by pinfall: Justin Gabriel

Match Three: The Prime Time Players (w/R-Truth) vs. The Union Jacks (w/Jinder Mahal)

Drew McIntyre starts off with Darren Young and nabs the side headlock. Shoulder bump knocks Young down. Leapfrogging and ducking from McIntyre gets him a dropkick. Discus forearm counter from Young converts and he lands an atomic drop follow. Back elbow from McIntyre counters, but Young hits a belly-to-belly suplex.

Titus O'Neil inside. Young sent into McIntyre as a lawn dart in the corner. O'Neil with a scoop slam followup. McIntyre back on the offensive with clubbing shots. O'Neil pulls him into a clothesline that stops him in his tracks for a nearfall. Young inside after some corner work by O'Neil. Front suplex from O'Neil lands Young on top of McIntyre for a nearfall.

Heath Slater in on the sneak tag. Young handles both until he is sent into the ring post on his shoulder after being unable to followup on Slater. Young falls to the steel steps outside and he has his head bounced off them before Slater gets a nearfall inside.

Keylock in for Slater, but Young fighting to his feet with strikes. Slater with a neckbreaker counter for a quick nearfall. McIntyre returns to the ring and works Young in the corner. Suplex attempt connects for a McIntyre nearfall. Young fighting to make a tag, but he is caught by McIntyre and shoved away. Running boot punishes Young for a close nearfall.

Slater returns and the team get a double-slingshot suplex for a nearfall. Slater stomping Young all over the ring. Corner work from Slater dazing Young. Slater in control now, despite a close Young nearfall off some offense. Slater taunting O'Neil, which allows him to tag in and clean house of everyone standing in his way. Slater makes the save. Chaos ensues and Jinder Mahal and R-Truth get into it outside. McIntyre with the Future Shock DDT and Slater inside with a corkscrew crossbody.

Winners by pinfall: The Union Jacks

The show closes with The Union Jacks celebrating their win as the defeated opposition sulks and looks over in disbelief.
