Smackdown!: The Wyatt Family continue to stalk CM Punk, Daniel Bryan
By DALE PLUMMER -- SLAM! Wrestling

With WWE essentially hitting the big ole' reset button on everything last week, there are only three weeks to build up feuds to Survivor Series. The Wyatt Family is targeting CM Punk and Daniel Bryan, which may set up a traditional Survivor Series match. Alberto Del Rio is demanding his rematch for the World Heavyweight Title, while Big Show is challenging Randy Orton, (again) for the WWE title and if you missed it on Monday, Kane has gone corporate.

(Note to WWE creative, nobody cared Orton versus Big Show back in the spring, why should anyone care now?)

CM Punk kicks off the show from Charlotte, North Carolina to call out the Wyatt Family, who now have a problem with the Best in the World. Punk is looking for fight, and he gets it...with Curtis Axel. The IC Champ wants vengeance for Paul Heyman, and he has been granted a match starting now.

Match #1 - Curtis Axel vs. CM Punk

Axel beats Punk into the corner, but runs into an elbow. Punk climbs the turn buckle and drops a double axe handle. Axel smashes Punk into the middle turnbuckle. The fight spills to the floor. Punk slams Axel into the security barrier and we go to break.

After the commercials, Punk looks for the GTS, but Axel slips out. The IC champ hits a back breaker and follows with a fist drop from the middle turnbuckle. Punk chops away at Axel, but misses on a cross body block. Axel takes advantage with a clothesline, but only gets a two count on the pin. Punk answers with a back suplex. Axel kicks out of pin after a swinging neck breaker. Punk goes up top, when the Wyatts entrance video starts and the lights go out. The Wyatt family is nowhere to be found, and Axel clubs Punk over the back and nearly gets the pin. Punk looks for a backslide, but then transitions into the GTS. Axel takes the knee to the face and Punk covers for the win.

Winner via pinfall: CM Punk

After the match, Bray Wyatt's laugh echoes through the arena and the lights go out again. Punk is left in the spotlight as the show goes to break.

Match #2 The Usos and R-Truth vs. 3MB

Remember when Drew McIntyre was "The Chosen One"? Um, yea, neither do I. 3MB are essentially jobbers at this point. R-Truth gets the pin on Jinder Mahal after the Usos took out Slater and McIntyre on the outside by flying over the top rope.

Winner via pinfall: The Usos and R-Truth

Match #3 - AJ Lee and Tamina vs. Naomi and Cameron

AJ Lee is not excited for the return of Total Divas on E! I'm not excited either, but there isn't a better show on TV to hate watch. AJ picks up the win by getting Cameron to tap to the Black Widow hold.

Winner via submission: - AJ Lee and Tamina

Alberto Del Rio heads to the ring to call out World Heavyweight Champion John Cena, but first Del Rio says he is better than us. He claims Cena stole the title. Cena answers the call, and wants to have the rematch tonight. Vickie Guerrero squashes that idea and books the two in separate matches. Cena will face Ryback, while Del Rio has to take on The Great Khali.

Match #4 Alberto Del Rio vs. The Great Khali

Speaking of jobbers. Del Rio gets Khali to tap in the cross arm breaker.

Winner by submission: Alberto Del Rio

Match #5 Daniel Bryan vs. Luke Harper w/ Bray Wyatt and Erik Rowan

Bryan is still sporting tape on his injured shoulder suffered at the hands of the Wyatts. Harper takes Bryan down with an uppercut and follows with the gator roll. Bryan back drops Harper over the top rope and the dives through the ropes to take him out. On the outside, Harper slams Bryan into the barricade and we go to commercial.

After the break, Harper is in full control in the ring. Bryan can't block a big boot, but is able to kick out of the pin. Bryan cuts Harper down and unloads with a flurry of punches. Bryan unleashes the kicks, but leaps right into a power bomb. Bryan is able to get the Yes Lock applies, but Rowan hits the ring. Harper gets disqualified, but the beating continues. CM Punk runs in to make the save and the Wyatt Family scatters.

Winner by DQ: Daniel Bryan

Match #6 John Cena vs. Ryback - Non-Title Match

Cena and Ryback lock up in the middle of the ring. Ryback takes Cena to the mat with a head lock. Cena gets back to his feet and reverses the hold. Ryback shrugs off a shoulder block and then blocks a bulldog. Ryback presses Cena over his head before dropping him to the mat. Ryback catches the ring post as Cena avoids a spear in the corner and we go to break.

After the commercials, Cena powers out of a Boston crab, but Ryback tackles him to the mat. Ryback locks in a bear hug. Cena elbows his way out and takes Ryback down with shoulder tackle. Cena follows a side slam with the five knuckle shuffle, but Ryback counters with a spine buster. Cena fights out of the Shell Shock and counters with a DDT. Ryback counters the AA with a jackhammer suplex, but Cena kicks out of the pin. Ryback warms up the Meathook Clothesline, but Cena counters with a drop toe hold into the STF. Ryback is able to crawl to the ropes and grab it to break the hold. Ryback catches with a spear, but still can't get the pin. Cena floats over Ryback and then hits a neck breaker out of full nelson. Cena climbs to the top, connecting on a cross body. Ryback holds on to the ropes to counter the AA and then his a running slam. Both men are slow to get up. Cena kicks Ryback in the face. The two then trade punches in the center of the ring. Ryback explodes with the Meathook, but Cena slips out of the Shell Shock and hits the AA> Cena covers Ryback to get the win.

Winner by submission: Alberto Del Rio

After the bell, Alberto Del Rio ambushes Cena, slamming his bad arm into the ring post. Cena fights back, causing Del Rio to retreat to the back.
