Smackdown: Vickie joins in on Bryan's torture
By MATT MACKINDER- SLAM! Wrestling

Daniel Bryan continues to be the focal point of WWE programming and that continues Friday night on Smackdown.

Randy Orton and Triple H are also in the house, so what's going to transpire in Cincinnati?

The show opens with a recap of Raw and all that went down between Bryan, Orton and The Shield. You don't need me to go into details. Just read our report from Monday a couple mouse clicks back.

Michael Cole and JBL are ringside and Vickie Guerrero is in the ring. Please, don't have her talk... OK, she's talking. I'll try and decipher. She introduces Bryan and then the two badmouth each other. Bryan says he did nothing wrong at Night of Champions. I'm trying to tune out Vickie, but she makes an 11-on-3 gauntlet match for later tonight - The Shield vs Bryan and the 10 wrestlers from Raw that saved Bryan on Monday night. Bryan will be the last one in. Vickie laughs, leaves. And we all get our hearing back.

Match #1 - Naomi w/ Cameron vs. Divas champ AJ Lee (non-title match

Natalya is ringside and watches AJ lock in the Black Widow. Naomi taps. A staredown with Natalya ensues.

Winner via submission: AJ Lee

Zeb Colter, Jack Swagger and Antonio Cesaro are in the ring. Zeb and his ferocious mustache go on a rant about immigration and how Santino Marella was even allowed in the country and then starts the "We The People" pledge, but Santino interrupts.

Match #2 - Santino Marella vs. Jack Swagger w/ Antonio Cesaro and Zeb Colter

Santino continues his winning streak with a backslide for the three.

Winner via pinfall: Santino Marella

In the back, Curtis Axel is pushing Paul Heyman in a wheelchair, while Paul E. stares and smiles at Ryback, who is also with the pair.

Now at ringside, Heyman calls himself the best in the world and then Ryback says he can't stand bullies. His jobber in the ring, Nick Nardone, is blamed by Ryback for not signing a kid's autograph earlier in the day and for accosting said kid in the parking lot. Cole wonders who would want Nardone's autograph.

Match #3 - Ryback w/ Curtis Axel and Paul Heyman vs. Nick Nardone

Squash. Ryback with Shell Shock and that gets three.

Winner via pinfall: Ryback

Orton is backstage and he's coming out next.

In the ring, Orton addresses Sunday's loss and says it was 100 percent his fault because he should not have been in that position. He says he locked away the old Viper for two years because he thought that's what the people wanted. The Shield comes in through the crowd and apparently, the gauntlet match is next.

Vickie is sitting ringside and away we go.

Match #4 - The Shield vs. The Prime Time Players, The Usos, Rob Van Dam, Zack Ryder, Dolph Ziggler, Justin Gabriel, Kofi Kingston, R-Truth and Daniel Bryan

Darren Young is out first and eats a Roman Reigns spear and gets pinned. His Prime Time Players partner, Titus O'Neill, can do no better and gets eliminated after the triple powerbomb.

Ziggler comes in and does well, but eats a spear from Reigns on the floor and gets counted out. Kofi hits the ring and gets a near-fall on Reigns after Trouble In Paradise. Dean Ambrose counters with his headlock DDT move and Kofi's done.

RVD is next and absolutely dominates. He has Ambrose in position for the Five-Star Frog Splash, but HHH's music hits, RVD gets distracted and Reigns pushed Van Dam off the top and to the floor. Triple H yells to shut the match down and tells Vickie to meet him in his office. The two leave and apparently, this match is history.

In the back, HHH tells Vickie that competition is best for business and makes her book a six-man tag for later tonight - The Shield against the Usos and Bryan.

The Raw Rebound shows Dusty Rhodes getting KO'd by the Big Show four nights ago. Wowzers.

Again backstage, HHH is with Ryder and Gabriel and apologizes for them being in the gauntlet match and says he'll give them competition. He tells the pair to hit the ring and their opponents will follow.

Match #5 - Zack Ryder and Justin Gabriel vs. Luke Harper and Erick Rowan w/ Bray Wyatt

This one is just nasty. Harper gets a monster, stiff clothesline on Ryder and that's it. Wyatt then drills Sister Abigail on Ryder after the match for good measure.

Winners via pinfall: The Wyatt Family

Backstage, RVD is with a doctor and HHH arrives and apologizes for Van Dam being in the gauntlet. He also books a rematch with World Heavyweight champion Alberto Del Rio in two weeks at Battleground. ADR then attacks and lays out RVD. Wow, lots of initials in that paragraph, eh?

Match #6 - R-Truth vs. World Heavyweight champion Alberto Del Rio (non-title match)

Truth with the Axe Kick gets a near-fall, but the champ closes it out wit the cross armbreaker tap out.

Winner via submission: Alberto Del Rio

Six-man main event is up next and this looks to be a solid bout.

Daniel Bryan and The Usos vs. The Shield

Lots of back and forth action here. Like, seriously. Towards the end, Bryan gets the hot tag and goes to work. The Usos and Reigns and Seth Rollins wind up on the floor trading high-impact spots off the ropes and through the ropes.

Bryan gets Ambrose in the Yes Lock, but the U.S. champ gets to the ropes. The Usos kick Ambrose, who turns into the running knee and Bryan gets the pin.

Winners via pinfall: Daniel Bryan and The Usos

The victors celebrate and this Friday night is over and out.
