TNA Impact: Dixie Carter surprises AJ Styles

With AJ Styles on a collision course with greatness to reach the pinnacle of TNA once again, Styles has requested to meet TNA President Dixie Carter to discuss some pertinent issues. Tonight on TNA Impact, the tumultuous relationship between Carter and Styles may explode like a powered keg. Also, the Knockouts title is up for grabs. All that and more on this week's edition of TNA Impact!

Magnus backstage discussing his failed opportunity in the Bound for Glory Series. Magnus says he is not one to make excuses. Bobby Roode sneaks up and asks if he is going to make excuses and place blame elsewhere. Magnus backs Roode into a corner and Christopher Daniels and Kazarian come to start the brawl that is broken up by officials.

We are on tape from St. Louis, Miss. Mike Tenay and Taz have the call for this week.

Magnus makes his way to the ring. Magnus says he is hurting after last week, but he wishes AJ Styles all the best because he believes he is the best in the business today. Shifting his attention, Magnus turns his attention to the Extraordinary Gentlemen's Organization and challenges one of the group to take him down.

Kazarian makes his way out and is soon beaten into the corner by Magnus. Christopher Daniels from behind and he holds the arms of Magnus for Kazarian to tee off. Magnus fights out and Kazarian clotheslines Daniels down. The group is taken out and Magnus focusing on Daniels until Bobby Roode levels him with a clothesline.

Samoa Joe and Sting make their way down to the ring and clear the group out. Sting challenges the group to a six-ma tag tonight.

TNA X Division Champion Manik discussing tonight's matchup with Chris Sabin. Sabin says that he is a big fan and hoping for Manik to win because he believes he has played a huge part in his success. Sabin and Velvet Sky plan to take a close look at this match.

Match One: Jeff Hardy vs. Manik

Lockup and Manik grabs the side headlock. Jeff Hardy countering the hold and the two exchanging counters. Both men score a few nearfalls. Disengage and Manik works Hardy into the corner with uppercuts. Hardy sent off into the corner, where he floats over to hit a headscissors takeover.

Action falls outside as Manik tumbles to the floor. Baseball slide kick from Hardy and he moves onto the apron to hit a flying clothesline. Both men down and the action returns inside. Step-over heel kick from Hardy seats Manik in the corner. Hardy's swinging dropkick misses and Manik with a drop toehold to put Hardy on the second rope. Springboard dropkick out of the corner to the apron by Manik. springboard dropkick back inside misses and Hardy hits the Whisper in the Wind for a nearfall.

Twist of Fate attempt is countered a bicycle kick by Manik. Roll through by Hardy is countered by Manik for a nearfall. Manik in the corner and Hardy ducks the mule kick. Neckbreaker attempt by Manik does not connect. Twist of Fate in the center of the ring from Hardy and he heads up top. Swanton Bomb converts.

Winner by pinfall: Jeff Hardy

Hardy raises the hand of his opponent post-match. Chris Sabin heads to the ring and does the same, but attacks him from behind as he feigns leaving the ring. Hardy comes back to make the save.

TNA President Dixie Carter is shown entering the building earlier in the day, saying there is a lot going on tonight.

Chris Sabin and Velvet Sky getting ready to leave the building. Sabin says Manik is disrespectful and he is one of the many who doesn't show him the respect he deserves. Sabin promises to earn his respect and take it by any means necessary.

Match Two for the TNA Knockouts Championship: Mickie James (c) vs. ODB

The two ladies face-to-face to start. The champion with a double-leg, but ODB reverses to land strikes of her own. Mickie James knocked down by a shoulder bump and she rakes the eyes to regain control. Snapmare into a dropkick from James gets a nearfall.

Kick to the stomach in the corner from James. ODB sent into the opposite corner and she gets a back elbow. ODB sits up top, but James sweeps the leg and works on strikes and chokes. Spear from ODB gets a nearfall to turn the tide.

Back to the center, James with a spinning back kick and a jumping front kick right to the face of the challenger. Flapjack and James heads up top, but gets nothing. ODB from behind with a fallaway slam. James outside and ODB tries to follow, only to get the leg swept from under her. ODB caught in the apron skirt and James unloading strikes. ODB fighting back from the tangled apron as we break.

Neckbreaker from James gets a pair of nearfalls as we return. ODB worked in the corner. James sent into the opposite corner on a reverse and she gets a mule kick with a back elbow to boot. Headscissors takeover turned into a powerbomb from ODB and both ladies down. Both make the referee's count and exchange strikes in the center of the ring. James with a kick to the thigh and ODB with a shoulder block and a clothesline to counter. Delayed vertical suplex drops James for a nearfall.

Corner splash attempt from ODB is met by a mule kick from James. Spinning wheel kick in the middle of the ring puts ODB out. James taking ODB to the corner and attempts a tornado DDT. BAM! connects out of the corner.

Winner by pinfall and new TNA Knockouts Champion: ODB

Joseph Park and Eric Young out to celebrate with ODB. The Bro Mans head out and Robbie E says Joseph Park has no business being in the ring with the weird couple. Park asks the group why they'd insult the new Knockouts champion and what is with their outfits. Park says he would put up his dukes if he wasn't in a suit. Robbie E takes that as a challenge and Eric Young steps up as he is not suited up.

Match Three: Eric Young (w/Joseph Park) vs. Robbie E (w/Jessie Godderz)

Robbie E walking Eric Young down. Robbie E charges into the corner and misses, allowing Young to roll him up.

Winner by pinfall: Eric Young

Robbie E says that wasn't a match because he was challenging Joseph Park. Robbie E asks if he is scared and makes a remark about his weight. This contest will be next.

Match Four: Robbie E (w/Jessie Godderz) vs. Joseph Park (w/Eric Young)

Joseph Park going over his gameplan with Eric Young in the corner. Young pushes Park out of the way as Robbie E charges into the corner. Park with a rollup.

Winner by pinfall: Joseph Park

The Bro Mans in the ring and they take out Young. Park has his head bounced off the steps outside. Park reeling and bloodied as the Bro Mans head inside. Park's demeanor transforms and he hits Godderz with a chokeslam. Black Hole Slam on Robbie E. Young and Park celebrate after Park recovers.

The announce team says there is no word on the condition of Mr. Anderson before showing his brutal encounter with TNA World Heavyweight Champion Bully Ray last week.

Recap of the tumultuous relationship between AJ Styles and TNA President Dixie Carter.

Hulk Hogan meets up with Dixie Carter backstage. Hogan wants to know what is going on and if he needs to handle it. Carter says she can handle it tonight.

TNA World Heavyweight Champion Bully and Brooke Tessmacher make their way out with Aces & Eights flanking them. Bully remarks that everyone must be proud to see their champion in person. Bully then asks where Anderson is in a sarcastic tone. Bully says he couldn't have done this without someone special as he pats every Aces & Eights member on the shoulder. Bully then gives Brooke all the credit for low-blowing Anderson last week.

Bully goes off on Wes Brisco for being angry. Garrett Bischoff says that Bully has forgotten who has been behind him since the beginning. Bully shoves Bischoff back into the corner and tells him to never step up to him again. Knux takes the microphone and asks if he'd do the same to him. Knux has been here from day one and says the club is falling apart with Bully at the forefront. Knux states that the brothers come before any women in kinder terms. Bully says that they all need to stand down and the group goes off as Bully quickly leaves.

Main Event Mafia meeting backstage. Sting says for Magnus not to forget who he is tonight and the group is ready to go for tonight.

Prior to the matchup, Chavo Guerrero informs us that he is injured and will be unable to compete in the scheduled tag match.

Match Five: Hernandez (w/Chavo Guerrero) vs. Gunner (w/"Cowboy" James Storm)

Hernandez and Gunner trading blows. Hernandez with a shoulder bump for a nearfall. The two trading blows and Gunner with a series of forarms to win the exchange. Gunner attempts a suplex, but Hernandez gets one of his own to front suplex Gunner onto the top rope for a nearfall.

Hernandez with power offense to stay in control. Giant backbreaker after tossing Gunner from corner-to-corner gets a brief nearfall. Hernandez looking for a splash, but Gunner gets the knees up. Forearm shots from Gunner allows him to go off the ropes, but a Get Off Me shoulder block sends Gunner flying. Cornered, Gunner bodydrops Hernandez to the apron. Hernandez boxes the ears and heads up the ramp. Signature battering ram back inside connects. Hernandez dealing chops and Gunner with forearms. Suplex exchange leads Gunner to slingshot suplex Hernandez down. Gunner with body blows and clotheslines. Headbutt and a splash in the corner get Gunner a fallaway slam. Backbreaker across the knee from Gunner.

Winner by pinfall: Gunner

Six-Man Tag Match Six: Main Event Mafia vs. Extraordinary Gentlemen's Organization

Christopher Daniels starts off with Samoa Joe. Daniels working strikes in the corner before sending Joe into the opposite corner. ST-Joe as Daniels comes in. Flurry of jabs and knees are followed up by a running knee in the corner by Joe. Daniels moves outside after having the boot of Joe rubbed into his face.

Kazarian in as Daniels tags out quickly after returning to the ring. Giant chops from Joe as he sends Kaz into the corner. Kaz tries a crossbody counter, but Joe sidesteps and brings in Magnus. Atomic drop from Joe followed by a big boot from Magnus. Splash from Joe gets Magnus a nearfall.

Magnus wearing Kaz down and Sting brought in. Dropkick sends Kaz outside. Sting bounces the head of Kazarian off of the steps before whipping him into them. Back inside, Sting stomping Kaz down. Inverted atomic drop from Sting, but Daniels and Roode getting involved as the referee has his back turned. Extraordinary Gentlemen's Organization with some triple-team offense as we break.

We return with Bobby Roode landing a knee lift and a clothesline on Sting for a nearfall. Kazarian brought back in and EGO using quick tags to isolate Sting. Daniels in illegally off a phantom tag after some more triple-team offense and he lands a spinning heel kick for a nearfall.

Chinlock from Daniels in on Sting from behind. Sting fighting up to his feet, but Daniels stepping on the knee to keep him down. Body blows by Sting get him out, but Daniels works the eyes and hits a snapmare. Kaz in with a springboard leg drop for a nearfall.

Front facelock in for Kazarian. Sting pressing for the tag, but Roode in to distract the referee as Sting makes the tag. The referee forces Magnus back out and EGO using more triple-team offense in their corner on the worn Sting. Kaz choking Sting with his boot and unloads some forearms. Roode in now and he hits a snap suplex.

Another phantom tag by EGO allows Kaz back in to work Sting with strikes. Sting off the ropes and he lands a boot. Daniels pins the arms of Sting to hold him to the ropes, but Sting ducks out and Kaz nails his own partner. Clothesline puts Kaz down from Sting.

Roode and Magnus in now. Magnus with a trio of clotheslines and a Falcon Arrow for a nearfall. Daniels made the save and chaos ensues as every member of the teams is taken out briefly. Joe hits a splash and a pendulum kick on Roode in the corner. Snapmare from Joe leads to a Magnus elbow drop that is barely broken up by Daniels.

Bad Influence are taken out by strikes from Joe. Kaz sent outside and Daniels with the upper hand from behind, but Joe runs away to hit a suicide dive on Kaz. Daniels looking for a suicide dive of his own, but Sting with a bodydrop. Stinger Splash into the corner and a Scorpion Deathlock. Roode has the bat and Magnus runs to hold Sting from behind to take the blow.

AJ Styles is out to address TNA President Dixie Carter. Styles says he has been here since day one to try to put the company on the map and Carter's father bought the company with no hard work in the business. Styles says Carter broke up the original chemistry TNA had and names the countless starts that have been replaced by the likes of MMA fighters and people who made their names elsewhere. Styles tells Carter he doesn't have a contract here and she made a mistake by allowing him to be in a position to win the company's biggest prize. Styles promises to make her pay.

Dixie Carter makes her way to the ring. Carter says she has to hold herself accountable to everyone related to the company in any way. She owes Styles an apology and apologizes for making him ever feel relevant in the company. Carter says he is the product of her marketing and that he is nothing close to what he was when he was in his prime. Without the Carter Family, Styles would amount to nothing more than the trailer he came up from.

Carter has said her piece and Styles begins to speak, but Carter ends the show but cutting off the microphone and shutting the entire show down.
