WWE Main Event: Cesaro looks to regroup against Kingston

A returning Santino Marella on Raw stopped Antonio Cesaro dead in his tracks. Tonight on WWE Main Event, one half of the Real Americans looks to rebuild off the upset against high-flyer Kofi Kingston. Can Cesaro win another unorthodox style matchup or will he continue to slump as we head towards WWE Night of Champions? All that and more on this week's edition of WWE Main Event!
We are on tape from Ottawa, Ont. Josh Mathews and The Miz have the call for this week.
Match One: Kofi Kingston vs. Antonio Cesaro (w/Zeb Colter)
Dropkick from Antonio Cesaro starts the match. Cesaro stomping Kofi Kingston into the mat. A cornered Kingston gets his kidneys worked before being pulled into a shoulder bump for a nearfall. Side headlock in for Cesaro as he wrenches the hold. Kingston working his way out to no avail. Cesaro finally sent off the ropes and Kingston lands a corkscrew elbow after some leapfrogging and ducking for a nearfall.
Cesaro trips Kingston up to introduce him to the turnbuckle face-first. Power offense keeping the high-flying Kingston grounded. Forearms and punches in the corner further grinding Kingston down. Kingston sent off into the corner and he counters with a pendulum kick as Cesaro charges in. Springboard forearm connects for another nearfall.
Front headlock from Kingston sees Cesaro lift him to the apron to land a back bodydrop back inside. Cesaro punting the spine of a seated Kingston. While Kingston attempts to fight, Cesaro hoists him on his shoulder and rams him into the corner. Stomps follow. Kingston sent to the corner, but he floats over and hits a headscissors takeover that sends Cesaro to the floor. Baseball slide converts.
Action on the floor now and Kingston opening up with strikes. Cesaro reverses a whip and sends Kingston into the steel steps, but Kingston leapfrogs the stairs. Kingston now using the stairs as a launching pad to land a flip dive that puts Cesaro down.
Cesaro moves to the opposite apron to avoid a nearfall. Shoulder bump from Cesaro knocks the wind out of Kingston. A trio of gutwrench powerbombs connect for Cesaro for a quick nearfall. Again, stomps and strikes grounding Kingston. Kingston now fighting with right hands and roundhouse kicks. Cesaro sent into the corner, but he flapjacks Kingston right on the ring post. Kingston down and out on the arena floor as we reach our first break.
We return with Cesaro working the rear chinlock. Body shots get Kingston out and he is sent into the corner. Mule kick sends Cesaro away and Kingston using right hands to fight back. Dropkick and a flying forearm are followed up by the Boom Drop. Kingston looking to put Cesaro away, but Cesaro ducks the Trouble in Paradise. Kingston regains control with a take of the back and a schoolboy for a nearfall. Crossbody out of the corner from Kingston gets him another close nearfall.
Kingston jumping and locking in the headscissors, but Cesaro holds him. Kingston pressed up into the air and he comes down on a European Uppercut that Cesaro transitions into a series of nearfalls. Out cold, Kingston is dead weight as Cesaro attempts to lift him. Cesaro is able to deadlift Kingston into a suplex from an inside cradle attempt, but Kingston comes back down and lands the SOS for a close nearfall.
A cornered Cesaro gets the boot up as Kingston rushes in. Kingston ducks a further attack and tries a Trouble in Paradise, but Cesaro catches him. Airplane spin is up and away and Cesaro spins Kingston by his legs. Kingston wobbled and Cesaro sprinting the ropes to land a monster of a lariat for a nearfall.
Gotch Neutralizer attempt is countered out of by Kingston. Jackknife cover from Kingston nearly gets the victory. Cesaro attempting to muscle into a backslide, but Kingston slides out and connects on the Trouble in Paradise attempt.
Winner by pinfall: Kofi Kingston

Match Two: The Prime Time Players vs. 3MB (w/Drew McIntyre)
Titus O'Neil starts off with Jinder Mahal. Mahal grabs the side headlock, but O'Neil with a side slam to get him off. Heath Slater now in and he unloads punches, only to run into a back elbow from O'Neil. Mahal once again back in. Kick attempt from Mahal is caught and O'Neil goes to work by stomping him down in the corner.
Darren Young in with an axhandle smash over the arm of Mahal. Mahal muscles him back into his corner and Slater tags in. The two unleashing strikes on Young before Slater comes in to lock in the side headlock. Young fighting to his feet and sends Slater off the ropes. Shoulder block from Slater converts, but he finds himself running into a discus forearm from Young. Atomic drop connects for Young and he puts Slater down for a nearfall.
Side headlock in for Young and he turns it into an arm wrench. Slater now brought down to the mat and Young has an armbar. Young splashes the left arm and now locks in the keylock. Scoop slam from Young and O'Neil brought in. Young is suplexed on top of Slater and Mahal is sent out on a double-team attack as we break.
We return with O'Neil landing a huge back elbow on Mahal for a nearfall. Mahal brought up and down via a pumphandle slam. Young brought in and O'Neil tosses him into Mahal on a shoulder thrust to the midsection. Young works Mahal into the corner and hits a clothesline into a Northern Lights suplex for a nearfall.
Mounted in the corner, Young unloads a trio of strikes to the head of Mahal. Mahal ducks away slowly to the outside and Slater attempts to sneak in. Young catches him, but he turns around into a flying knee from Mahal that gets a nearfall.
Slater now inside and stomping Young into the mat. Slater maintaining control with the stomps and kicks. Side headlock from Slater and he yanks Young down by his hair as he attempts to escape. Slater overconfident and Young rolls him up for a nearfall. Tag attempt by Young is stifled by Slater, who boots him back to his corner. Slater again taunting and he gets caught with a back bodydrop this time.
Mahal brought in and he sends O'Neil off the apron to prevent a tag. Young again in enemy territory and the team with some illegal double-team strikes. Neckbreaker from Mahal gets a nearfall. Mahal driving the knee into Young on the mat. 3Mb maintaining control with quick tags. Slater in control, but Young with a belly-to-belly suplex and both men down.
O'Neil and Mahal in. Shoulder bumps and a splash in the corner from O'Neil are followed up by a fallaway slam. Big boot to the head of Mahal connects. Slater breaks it up, but he and Young fall to the floor. Young careened into the announce table and O'Neil knocks Slater off the apron as he returns. Mahal from behind with a rollup for a nearfall. Mahal attempts a punt to the head, but O'Neil ducks and stands to hit the Clash of the Titus.

Match Three: R-Truth vs. Big E Langston
Match starts with R-Truth getting the back of Big E Langston. Langston with a judo throw to send Truth away. Truth grabs the side headlock and Langston attempting to power out. Truth sent off the ropes and Langston with a huge shoulder bump. Truth again off the ropes and he is again on the wrong end of a shoulder bump. Leapfrogging and ducking, Truth lands a dropkick that sends Langston out. Flip dive leaves both men sprawled on the arena floor. Back inside, Truth barely gets a nearfall.
Truth cornered back inside and he gets a back elbow to send Langston away. Truth up top with the crossbody attempt, but Langston catches him to land a trio of backbreaker. Splash followup gets Langston a nearfall.
Shot to the body allows Langston to lock in the abdominal stretch. Truth gets out of the hold and fights back with a flurry of strikes, but he is pulled into a belly-to-belly suplex from Langston for another nearfall.
Truth again fighting back as we return to the feet. Langston sends Truth off into the corner, but he runs into a back elbow. The rope pulled down by Truth as Langston charges, sending him outside. Langston charges back in to receive a heel kick. Right hand combo by Truth staggering Langston. Dropkick to the knee followed up by a DDT for a nearfall.
Scissors kick from Truth misses the mark and Langston runs him into the ground. Big Ending connects.
Winner by pinfall: Big E Langston
Big E Langston standing triumphant over the knocked out R-Truth ends the program.
