The Rock in talks for The Fall Guy

Will The Rock be The Fall Guy? Photo by Mike Mastrandrea

Wrestler-turned-movie star Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson is in talks to bring The Fall Guy back to life in a new all-action movie.

The actor and director McG are both close to signing on to revive the 1980s TV series, which starred Lee Majors as a stuntman-turned-bounty hunter, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

The Fall Guy movie has been on Hollywood's slate for years and, at one point, was a project with Nicolas Cage attached and Martin Campbell directing.

McG has also been mentioned as a possible director.

The latest adaptation is currently being shopped to potential distributors at the Toronto International Film Festival. It is believed that WWE Entertainment will be tag teaming with Hyde Park Entertainment on the financing.
