WWE Main Event: Sandow, Fandango in action

"Mr. Money in the Bank" Damien Sandow has yet to capitalize with his contract opportunity, but he has remained hot against competition. Tonight on WWE Main Event, Sandow looks to take on a tough test in R-Truth. Plus, Fandango waltzes his way into a match with Justin Gabriel. All that and more on this week's edition of WWE Main Event!

We are on tape from Minneapolis, Minn. Josh Mathews and Alex Riley have the call for this week.

Match One: Fandango (w/Summer Rae) vs. Justin Gabriel

Fandango demonstrating some dancing skills to get prepared before the action begins.

Lockup and Justin Gabriel grabs the side headlock. Gabriel off the ropes and he hits a shoulder bump that sends Fandango outside to regroup with Summer Rae. Returning to the ring, Gabriel grabs a hammerlock. Fandango grabs some hair to grapple into a drop toehold. Gabriel twisting and turning his way into locking in an armbar for a nearfall.

Fandango with a knee strike to the midsection as the referee attempts to break the two up along the ropes. Right hands connecting for Fandango to drive Gabriel into the corner. Gabriel tries a chop, but Fandango doubles those and continues to work on Gabriel in the corner. Fandango with a wristlock into a fireman's carry. Off the ropes, Fandango blocks a hip toss and the men exchanging counters. Chop battle in the center of the ring is won by Gabriel with forearms. Fandango moves out to the floor once again.

Action resets as Fandango returns to the ring. The back of Gabriel is taken by Fandango. Gabriel turns it into a side headlock with some counter grappling. Fandango unlocks the hold and connects with a European Uppercut. Dropkick from Gabriel again sends Fandango out. Gabriel finally taking advantage with a flip dive that takes Fandango out on the floor as we hit our first break.

We return with Gabriel floating over to the apron and landing a shot on Fandango. Gabriel heads up top, but Fandango shoves him off and Gabriel tumbles to the floor. Neckbreaker followup by Fandango before he returns to the ring to allow the referee to begin his count. Gabriel barely makes it inside and Fandango pummels him upon reentry. Hard snap suplex from Fandango grabs a nearfall.

Rear chinlock in for Fandango. Body shots from Gabriel break the hold, but he fails on a sunset flip attempt. Fandango plants a right hand to the center of the head and gets a nearfall. Fandango choking Gabriel with the top rope and begins to chip away with strikes in the corner. Irish Whip into the corner by Fandango sends Gabriel in at breakneck speed for a nearfall.

Chinlock once again in for Fandango. Gabriel struggles to his feet and hits a Saito Suplex to get out of the hold. A cornered Gabriel plays matador to run Fandango into the turnbuckles. Leg kicks are followed by a spinning back kick to the chest of Fandango. Gabriel flips over the back and lands a spinning wheel kick. Clothesline and corner splash lead to a springboard crossbody for a close Gabriel nearfall. Spingboard moonsault misses, but Gabriel with a cradle rollup for a nearfall.

Fandango sent off into the corner. His kick is caught by Gabriel, but Fandango kicks with the other leg to send Gabriel away. Spinning heel kick connects for a nearfall of his own. German Suplex attempt sees Gabriel land on his feet and take the back of Fandango, who counters with a backflip kick for yet another nearfall.

Fandango heads up top and connects with the diving leg drop. Gabriel down and out on the mat.

Winner by pinfall: Fandango

Prior to the match, "Mr. Money in the Bank" Damien Sandow wants to discuss some truth. Sandow says Cody Rhodes has been rightfully terminated and has returned home. Sandow believes he is the uncrowned champion and R-Truth's days are numbered, as he plans to run through any competition en route to cashing in to win the WWE World Heavyweight Championship.

Match Two: R-Truth vs. Damien Sandow

Lockup and R-Truth nabs the side headlock. Damien Sandow attempts to send him off the ropes, but Truth drags him down. Shots to the kidneys get Sandow out, but Truth with a shoulder bump for a nearfall.

Side headlock takeover from Truth allows him to reapply the hold. Sandow with a throw to get Truth off, but a back slide earns Truth another nearfall. Side headlock into a side headlock takeover once again for Truth. Sandow once again out, but he ducks Truth as he is running the ropes and gets rolled up once again. Sandow with a double-leg takedown and a nearfall of his own on a jackknife cover. Truth again with an inside cradle for a nearfall.

Sandow again resets the action and lands a boot to the midsection. Right hand puts Truth in the corner. Whip allows Truth to float over and counter a Sandow punch, but Sandow ducks outside before Truth can land. Mind games going on along the ringside area and Sandow baits Truth into a chase. Sandow in first and he clobbers Truth as he enters the ring. Headbutt into a snapmare followed up by an axhandle smash for a Sandow nearfall.

Reverse chinlock torquing Truth. Truth out and he hits a hip toss to regain control. With some theatrics, leg drop across the throat of Sandow. Sandow reeling on the ropes and Truth follows with a clothesline that sends Sandow down and out on the floor as we break.

We return with a swinging neckbreaker from Sandow putting Truth down for a quick nearfall. Knee of Sandow rakes the face of Truth. Another headbutt from Sandow leads to a Truth resurgence in offense. Striking Sandow, Truth maintains control until Sandow turns him around in the corner for some blows of his own. Whip sees Truth again float over to the apron, but Sandow with a forearm shiver that sends Truth careening into the barricade. Sandow rams Truth into the apron and follows up with an elbow strike.

Back inside, Sandow stomping Truth down before landing a suplex for a nearfall. Sandow now working stomps on the chest of Truth before locking in legscissors across the ribs. Action moves back up to the feet and Truth regains control with right hands. Truth off the ropes, but Sandow tosses him out to the floor unceremoniously . Russian Legsweep and Elbow of Disdain from Sandow connect inside for a nearfall.

Truth dropped across the knee of Sandow. In the corner, Sandow with a moonsault attempt that fails as Truth rolls out of the way. Both men down and Truth with a barrage of clotheslines. Headscissors takeover from Truth followed by a spinning heel kick for a nearfall. Sandow with a rollup and a handful of tights, but Truth rolls out. Scissors kick from Truth plants Sandow, but again only a nearfall.

What's Up attempt from Truth misses and Sandow drops him on the back of his head for a close nearfall. Terminus attempt from Sandow is rolled out of by Truth, who gets a rollup for a nearfall of his own. What's Up connects.

Winner by pinfall: R-Truth

Match Three: The Prime Time Players vs. Luke Harper & Erick Rowan (w/Bray Wyatt)

Erick Rowan starts out with Titus O'Neil. O'Neil smacks the sheep mask off of Rowan and Rowan answers right a bevvy of clubbing blows. Rowan relentless in the corner on O'Neil. O'Neil fighting back with uppercuts. Rowan whips him into the corner, but O'Neil floats over and lands a big boot to the chin. O'Neil with stomps and uppercuts. Whip reversed by Rowan, who lands a huge splash in the corner before unloading a barrage of headbutts.

Luke Harper brought inside and he lands a series of elbow drops before mounting O'Neil for punches. Harper with an uppercut and a relentless rain of strikes. Stomp to the head of O'Neil gets a nearfall.

Chinlock in for Harper. O'Neil working on body shots and Harper switches to the front headlock. O'Neil rams him into the corner and Darren Young brought in. Clothesline attempt from Harper is ducked up and Young with a series of strikes and clotheslines. Young with a corner clothesline. Rowan in to help, but O'Neil takes him outside. Distraction allows Harper to plant Young with a big boot. Rowan disposes of O'Neil outside. Spinning lariat from Harper connects.

Winners by pinfall: Luke Harper & Erick Rowan

Post-match, Bray Wyatt enters the ring and hits Sister Abigail on Darren Young. The Wyatt Family stands strong as we close the show.
