TNA Impact: Must-win Thursday in the BFG Series

The Bound for Glory Series is slowly winding down and the final four will have a shot to earn a bout for the TNA World Heavyweight Championship. Tonight on TNA Impact, it is "must-win Thursday" for many, as the final four will be settled tonight. Daniels vs. Aries and Hardy vs. Kazarian mark some of the matchups to see who will be chasing the gold. All of that and more on this week's edition of TNA Impact!

We are LIVE from Cleveland, Ohio. Mike Tenay and Taz have the call for this week.

TNA World Heavyweight Champion Bully Ray makes his way out with Aces & Eights. Bully is in a bad mood because Devon is no longer with the group. Bully wants some answers from his fellow members. Garrett Bischoff says that he doesn't know what happened, but he is just as steamed as the president is. Knux believes he did his job. Wes Brisco doesn't know what happened either. Mr. Anderson doesn't know what happened, but Devon knew the consequences of the match and it could have been anyone.

Bully understands and begins to trash Devon, claiming that he was always just a sidekick. Bully states that the only person he needs is Tito Ortiz and he has a cut for him to make him Aces & Eights certified. Anderson jumps in, objecting to the initiation without a vote. Bully tells Anderson to stand down or he will make Anderson stand down. Bully calls for Brooke Tessmacher to join him in the ring.

Tessmacher appears with a cut in hand. Bully presents it to Ortiz and Anderson jumps in once again. Bully pushes Anderson into the corner and adorns Ortiz with the jacket. Bully says anyone who objects to it can leave the club. Finally, Bully tells Hulk Hogan that he'd like to introduce him to the real Brooke that mattered tonight.

Jeff Hardy discusses the similarities between his position in the Bound for Glory Series last year and this year, Hardy needs the points tonight and he is prepared to earn them.

Bound for Glory Series Match One: Kazarian vs. Jeff Hardy

Prior to the match, Mike Tenay states that Hulk Hogan declared any interference from the Extraordinary Gentlemen's Organization would lead to all members losing their Bound for Glory Series slots.

Lockup leads to both men exchanging quick rollups for nearfalls. Action resets to a more deliberate pace. Kazarian unloading with strikes. Jeff Hardy sent into the corner and he floats over into a headscissors takeover. Kazarian sent outside. Baseball slide kick and a flying clothesline from the apron connect for Hardy.

Action returns to the ring with a Hardy Twist of Fate attempt. Sending Hardy careening into the corner, Kazarian crotches Hardy on a float over attempt in the corner. Enzuigiri to the back of the head of Hardy drops him. Kazarian following up with some strikes in the mounted position. Dropkick earns Kazarian a nearfall.

Surfboard stretch cranking Hardy. Body shots from Hardy make Kazarian drop the hold, but a handful of hair brings Hardy back down to the mat. Leg drop from Kazarian gets a quick nearfall.

Kazarian lifting Hardy and attempting a suplex. Hardy blocks in and turns it into a DDT. Both men up and Hardy umloading with strikes and clotheslines. Atomic drop leads to the leg drop across the groin. Hardy crossing the legs and the figure-four leglock is locked in. Kazarian rolling and tumbling to the ropes.. Hardy looking for the Twist of Fate, but Kazarian back slides him into a nearfall. Running kick to the face of Hardy converts for yet another nearfall.

Kazarian sent into the corner and he gets the boot up. Up top, Kazarian comes down into a kick to set up the Twist of Fate. The move connects and Hardy heads up top to hit the Swanton Bomb.

Winner by pinfall: Jeff Hardy

Aces & Eights meeting backstage. Garrett Bischoff upset about Bully Ray having a turn of heart about Devon. Mr. Anderson wanted a vote and believes Bully might be taking too much power. The group decides that no person is bigger than the club and it will be dealt with.

Number One Contender Two out of Three Falls Match Two: Gail Kim vs. ODB

Lockup starts us off and Gail Kim gets a quick nearfall. ODB with a shoulder block for a nearfall of her own. Gail Kim put into the corner and she ducks to the apron to avoid a charging ODB. Shoulder thrust leads to a sunset flip, but ODB isn't having it and ragdolls Gail Kim into the corner. Delayed vertical suplex sends Gail Kim to the mat for a nearfall.

Gail Kim sending ODB into the corner. Float-over attempt by ODB is caught by Gail Kim and she goes to work on the knee. Brief rollup by ODB is soon countered with more offense to the knee. Elbow drop into the knee leads to Gail Kim slamming the leg across the apron. Gail Kim hooks the leg and locks in an Indian Deathlock variant. on the legs. ODB is forced to tap.

Gail Kim continuing to work the leg in the corner. ODB has her leg draped across the second rope and Gail Kim drops her body weight across the knee. A cornered ODB has her mule kick caught and turned into a legbreaker by Gail Kim. Repeat of the same submission attempt by Gail Kim is turned into a rollup by ODB.

Winner of the second fall by pinfall: ODB

Gail Kim continues to work the leg in frustration. Figure-four leglock across the ringpost is torqued by Gail Kim. ODB in major pain as the referee forces the break.

Back inside, Gail Kim smacking ODB around in the corner. Kick attempt is caught and ODB musters the strength to throw Gail Kim. Punches connecting and a strong clothesline from ODB gets a nearfall..

ODB attempting to hoist Gail Kim up, but her leg gives way. The two ladies exhanging nearfalls and ODB locks the legs. Texas Cloverleaf applied on Gail Kim. Gail Kim inching closer to the ropes, but ODB drags her back to the center of the ring.

Velvet Sky backstage. The camerman asks for her thoughts on ODB, the upcoming Knockouts pay-per-view, and her absence from Hardcore Justice. Sky believes ODB has all the potential to take the TNA Knockouts Championship away from Mickie James and believes the pay-per-view will open some eyes. She closes that she did have to attend to some personal issues with Chris Sabin that kept her from attending Hardcore Justice, but she keeps business and personal life separate.

The Extraordinary Gentlemen's Organization meeting backstage. Christopher Daniels believes Hulk Hogan is trying to put the screws to the collective. Bobby Roode says all they need to do is focus tonight to have one of them take the top four in the Bound for Glory Series. Daniels is ready to take care of Austin Aries.

Austin Aries with Jeremy Borash. Aries says that something is best done alone and that's why he turned down the Extraordinary Gentlemen's Organization and Main Event Mafia. Christopher Daniels interrupts and asks Aries if he knows the repercussions of turning down the Extraordinary Gentlemen's Organization. The two trade insults and they both promise to bring it in the ring tonight.

Hulk Hogan walking backstage. The cameraman asks him about his thoughts on the latest in TNA. Hogan promises to address everything later tonight with a huge announcement.

Recap of the Aces & Eights and Main Event Mafia conflict at TNA Hardcore Justice.

Main Event Mafia make their way to the ring. Rampage Jackson wants to discuss Tito Ortiz first. Jackson says he will not wait for their fight for payback and promises to get at Ortiz any chance he gets.

Samoa Joe with the mic and he believes the Mafia runs this town tonight. Last week, he didn't feel the same as the group was outnumbered. Joe says AJ Styles was the only man with the gumption to step up last week and do the right thing.

Sting says AJ Styles put his career on the line last week and that itself is worthy of a spot in the Mafia. Sting says that he would like to thank him regardless and invites him out.

AJ Styles makes his way down to the ring. Styles appreciates the invitation, but he wants to do this himself. Styles says he has answers to all the questions. Styles says he appreciates what Main Event Mafia is doing, but the suit and tie isn't for him. Styles has trust issues over what has occurred the past year. Styles says he has changed because the business has changed around. Styles knows he is the best at what he does, but it is ultimately just a job to him. Styles feels cheated by management and he deserves better. Styles says he has prayed to be fired so he wouldn't quit. Styles likes being the go-to guy and he believes he can still carry this company. Styles promises to prove it in the Bound for Glory Series.

Bobby Roode makes his way out as we break.

Bound for Glory Series Match Three: Bobby Roode vs. AJ Styles

Lockup to begin the match leads to a stalemate. Bobby Roode locks in the side headlock and transitions to a hammerlock. AJ Styles rolls through and attempts the Calf Killer. Roode gets the rope break and takes some time to regroup outside of the ring.

Roode with a kick to the abdomen and an elbow to the back of the head. Chop in the corner by Roode. Roode off the ropes and he catches himself as Styles leapfrogs. Styles charges right into a back elbow. Roode walks right into a chop to the chest and Styles follows up with a dropkick that sends Roode outside.

Leaping to the ramp, Styles with a moonsault crossbody to Roode. Back inside, Styles with a backbreaker across the knee into a Camel Clutch. Roode shakes him off and runs him into the corner. Counter kick by Styles sends Roode away. Tornado DDT attempt fails and Roode counters with a Double R Spinebuster and some stomps for a nearfall. Snap suplex earns Roode another nearfall for good measure.

Surfboard stretch cracking Styles apart. Styles with elbow strikes to the ribs and he fights back with a flurry combination of strikes and kicks. Clothesline drops Roode. Forearm splash in the corner connect and Styles up top. Roode ducks under, but Styles catches Roode with a spinebuster of his own. Springboard moonsault into a submission attempt leads to a Pele Kick. Styles Clash attempt is countered by Roode, sending Styles to the apron. Shoulder thrust to the stomach leads to a springboard attempt. Roode catches Styles in a crossface submission, but Style works over to the ropes. Roode reapplies it, but Styles with a rollup nearfall.

Roll into the Calf Killer by Styles. Roode inching towards the ropes and finally gets it. Further submission attempts thwarted by Roode. Roode with a burst of offense that leads to a Fisherman's Suplex attempt. Styles rolls through with a small package.

Winner by pinfall: AJ Styles

Jeremy Borash reporting that Hulk Hogan will have his big announcement after the next Bound for Glory Series match.

Bound for Glory Series Match Four: Christopher Daniels vs. Austin Aries

Lockup between the two men leads to Christopher Daniels thrusting the shoulder in the corner. Side headlock in for Daniels on Austin Aries, leading to a shoulder bump and a scoop slam connecting for a nearfall.

Daniels crossfacing Aries with the forearm. Aries sent off into the corner, but he floats over and rakes the back of Daniels. Full-nelson takedown and a bit of slick amateur wresting puts Aries in control. Daniels chases Aries as he taunts in the corner, but Aries with a shoulder thrust that leads to him hitting an arm drag. Armbar now locked in on the left arm of Daniels. Headscissors counter by Daniels. Headstand out by Aries leads to a dropkick to the head for a nearfall.

Daniels rolls outside. Aries attempts to follow with a baseball slide kick, but Daniels moves out to land a few body blows. Bouncing his opponent off the apron, Daniels looks for a springboard moonsault. Aries counters and heads inside for a suicide dive, but he runs face-first into a kick from Daniels. Back inside, Daniels with a nearfall as we break.

We return with Daniels working Aries into the mat. Springboard moonsault connects for a nearfall. Neckbreaker converts for another Daniels nearfall. Neck crank submission in and Aries fighting back, but Daniels turn it around with an abdominal stretch. Aries elbowing the thigh to get his own abdominal stretch. Breaking the hold. an STO attempt from Daniels turns into an Aries arm drag. Clothesline from both men lay each other down. Daniels and Aries exchanging strikes. Aries wins with forearms and hard chops to the chest. Slam from Aries and a pendulum elbow gets a nearfall.

Aries rammed into the corner and Daniels charges, only to be hip tossed to the floor. Suicide dive from Aries connects and rams Daniels into the barricade. Back inside, Aries up top and Daniels runs under his attack. Sidewalk slam variation from Daniels plants Aries for a nearfall.

Aries sat up top by Daniels. Aries fighting out with elbows to the top of the head of Daniels and he boxes the ears for good measure. Missile dropkick connects from the top and a running dropkick in the corner for Aries. Brainbuster attempt is turned into a counter swinging neckbreaker by Daniels for a close nearfall.

The two men exchanging forearms to the head. Aries wins, but runs right into the boot of Daniels. Palm strike and Daniels heads off the ropes, being met as he hits the ropes by a dropkick. Brainbuster connects.

Winner by pinfall: Austin Aries

TNA World Heavyweight Champion Bully Ray discussing playing puppet master with Hulk Hogan to Tito Ortiz. Bully informs that he has him under control and he wants Ortiz to do the same with Mr. Anderson if he gets out of line. Bully and Brooke Tessmacher head out.

Hulk Hogan hits the ring. Hogan says he has been busy taking care of business, but it is great to be back in TNA. Hogan introduces to the crowd to the Bound for Glory Series standings and announces that he has changed it up by adding a gaunlet match next week for the last match in the Bound for Glory Series.

Bully Ray makes his way out with Brooke Tessmacher. Bully feigns happiness seeing his father-in-law again. Bully says a lot has changed, notably him holding the belt again. Bully introduces Brooke to Hogan, but Hogan says that he has had it with the charade and serves Bully with divorce papers for starters.

Bully says that he doesn't care about divorce papers as he used everyone to get to the top again. Until for Bound for Glory, Bully just has to sit back and watch things play out. Hogan says he runs the ship here and he says Bully will defending his TNA World Heavyweight Championship against an Aces & Eights member in two weeks. Hogan also says that he also has a match in store for next week against someone coming out now.

Sting hits the ring and him and Bully slug it. Sting sends Bully outside and celebrates around the ring as the show closes.
