WWE Main Event: Shield, Usos continue their rivalry

WWE Tag Team Champions Seth Rollins and Roman Reigns have had their hands full with The Usos as of late, seemingly developing into a weekly rivalry where the brothers lay a claim to another shot at the doubles gold. Tonight on WWE Main Event, the other Shield member and WWE United States Champion Dean Ambrose joins the champs against The Usos and Kofi Kingston. Also, Bray Wyatt sees his Main Event singles debut. All that and more on this week's edition of WWE Main Event!
We are on tape from Bakersfield, Calif. Josh Mathews and The Miz have the call for this week.
Match One: The Shield vs. The Usos & Kofi Kingston
Kofi Kingston starts off with Dean Ambrose. Lockup leads to some chain grappling. Kingston brought down by a wristlock, but he flips out with an arm drag. Kingston sends Ambrose off the ropes, only to eat a shoulder bump. Ambrose again running the ropes, but Kingston leapfrogs and ducks his way to a back elbow for a nearfall.
Jey Uso in with a nearfall on a double-team attack. Jey muscled into the opponent corner and Seth Rollins is brought in. Rollins unloading with his boot to the ribs. Rollins off the ropes and he defends a bodydrop attempt, but Jey lays him down with a clothesline.
Jimmy Uso now legal and a double-team elbow drop gets him a nearfall. Armbar in for Jimmy on the right arm of Rollins. Wrench attempt is countered by strikes from Rollins into the corner. Jimmy slides to avoid the corner off a whip and chops Rollins down.
Jey in once again with a huge flying forearm in the corner. Knee drop to the head of Rollins gets yet another nearfall. Left arm of Rollins now being worked, but he works into his own corner to bring in Ambrose. Right hands and stomps from Ambrose wear Jey into the mat. Rollins once again in and The Shield working quick tags. Surfboard stretch from Rollins contorts Jey. The foot of Rollins being stomped to fight the hold. Jey out and he is sent off the ropes.
Blind tag from Jimmy and Rollins runs right into a chopping right hand. The Usos take out Ambrose and hit Roman Reigns with a double superkick. Dropkick follow up from Kofi allows The Usos to clothesline Reigns out. The trio collectively gorilla press Rollins and toss him on top of his teammates out on the floor as we hit break.
We return with Kofi Kingston working Dean Ambrose with kicks in the corner. Ambrose sent into the opposite corner and Kingston mounts him to land ten blows. A wobbly Ambrose is put down with a pinpoint elbow strike from Kingston.
Jimmy Uso in on a downed and cornered Ambrose. Running butt splash connects and he heads up top, but Roman Reigns wiggling the ropes. Jimmy down to confront him, but he is met by an Ambrose dropkick.
Reigns inside with a monster clothesline for a nearfall. Rollins returns with some striking to keep Jimmy downed. Scoop slam by Rollins gets another nearfall for the group before he locks in a straitjacket choke. Jimmy unloading with elbows to the torso, but Rollins pulls him into a back elbow.
Ambrose once again the legal man and his elbow drop gets him a nearfall as well. Forearm in the corner and some accurate strikes from Ambrose lead to another quick tag to Reigns. The referee gets tied up and The Shield uses that to get a few cheap shots in for a nearfall.
Armlock submission in for Reigns. Jimmy fights his way out, but Reigns with a knee lift to the cranium to get another nearfall and maintain control. Ambrose in, but Jimmy fighting him off with an enzuigiri. Superkick to Reigns and all three men down. Rollins yanked off the apron by Jey as he tries to interfere.
Kingston now the legal man and he converts on a springboard crossbody. Dropkick to Rollins and Reigns is quickly sent out to the floor. Clotheslines and dropkicks for Ambrose lead to a Boom Drop. Ambrose looking to be on the wrong end of Trouble in Paradise, but Rollins in quickly. He is soon sent out and Kingston converts an SOS. Reigns breaks the nearfall with a millisecond to spare.
Rollup attempt by Ambrose is tumbled through by Kingston for a nearfall. Cornered, Kingston gets the boot up to fight Ambrose away. Rollins tosses in one Uso and sweeps the leg of Kingston as he attempts a moonsault. Careening into the mat, Ambrose picks him up and lands his signature facebuster.
Winners by pinfall: The Shield
Match Two: AJ Lee (w/Layla) vs. Naomi (w/Cameron)
Lockup into an arm wrench for Naomi. AJ counters into one of her own. The ladies trading submissions until AJ repeatedly slams Naomi down by her hair. AJ holding on to an armbar, but Naomi sweeps the legs and kicks AJ in the face for a nearfall.
Naomi now working the left arm of AJ in an armbar. AJ fighting up to her feet, but Naomi turns it into a standing keylock. Taking the back, AJ relinquishes the hold after some gyrations from Naomi. Tossed to the apron. a kick from Naomi turns into AJ shaking the ropes to send Naomi down for a nearfall.
Chinlock in for AJ. Naomi back to her feet, but AJ stifles a momentary burst of offense with a knee to the abdomen. Flashy kick attempt from Naomi misses and allows AJ to land a spinning hook kick of her own for a nearfall.
AJ takes the back and locks in the sleeper hold. Again, Naomi makes it to her feet and AJ yanks her back to the mat. Spinning back kick to the thigh of Naomi connects, but AJ runs right into a cartwheel kick. Bevvy of flip bumps and the Rear View convert to get a nearfall.
Layla up on the apron, but she is brought down by Cameron. However, Naomi is distracted long enough for AJ to hit a tilt-a-whirl headscissors into the Black Widow submission.
Winner by submission: AJ Lee
Prior to the match, Zeb Colter discusses the trouble he has with outsourcing in India in telecommunications, stating that everyone he gets on the line sounds like and makes as much sense as The Great Khali. Colter says that if he was the king of outsourcing, he'd export Khali and has a question for him to prove a point. Colter asks when the War of 1812 was fought, to which Khali answers with a punch to Antonio Cesaro.
Match Three: Jack Swagger (w/Antonio Cesaro & Zeb Colter) vs. The Great Khali (w/Natalya & Hornswoggle)
The Great Khali pushing Jack Swagger around to start. Swagger works the body, but Khali sends him off the ropes to hit a clothesline. In the corner, Khali lands a series of chops and elbows. Swagger clotheslined to the floor and attempts to regroup. Khali pulls him up, but Swagger with a hangman's neckbreaker. Now cornered, Khali is on the wrong end of a series of shoulder blocks. Chop block to the knee and a Swagger Bomb garner an nearfall.
Swagger torquing the left leg of Khali, but he kicks Swagger away. Chop to the chest leads to a back elbow and a big boot. Clotheslines connect and Khali looking for a Khali Chop, but Swagger ducks outside. Hangman's legbreaker on the hurt leg of Khali.
Hornswoggle hooking the leg as Swagger looks to return to the ring. The Real Americans surround him. Natalya turns Antonio Cesaro around and slaps him across the face. Swagger tosses Hornswoggle into the barricade.
Swagger returning inside, but he runs right into the Khali Chop as Khali returns to his feet.
Winner by pinfall: The Great Khali
Raw Recap shows the struggle of Daniel Bryan to take on the McMahons and WWE Champion Randy Orton.
Fandango and Summer Rae make their way out briefly to interrupt The Miz on commentary.
Match Four: Justin Gabriel vs. Bray Wyatt (w/Luke Harper & Erick Rowan)
Bray Wyatt immediately striking Justin Gabriel down. Wyatt tossing Gabriel into the corner and working him with body shots. Clothesline attempt misses for Wyatt, allowing Gabriel to unleash a combination of kicks. Corner splash converts and Gabriel off the ropes, running into a Wyatt clothesline. Wyatt preaching to Erick Rowan and Luke Harper outside, hanging from the ropes. Running splash sandwiches Gabriel in the corner. Wyatt quite literally dances Gabriel out of the corner to hit Sister Abigail in the center of the ring.
Winner by pinfall: Bray Wyatt
The show closes with the Wyatt Family eerily standing over Justin Gabriel.
