TNA Impact: Team 3D battles Sabin and mystery partner

With the TNA Impact special edition of Hardcore Justice coming up next week, business is picking up between TNA World Heavyweight Champion and Bully Ray. Tonight on TNA Impact, brothers Bully and Devon tag up to reunite Team 3D against Sabin and a mystery member of Main Event Mafia. Who will it be? All that and more on this week's edition of TNA Impact!
Aces & Eights shown backstage cornering Mike Tenay. Taz tells Tenay that he has the night off and it is time to let him step in the booth, promising that Mr. Anderson would bring down some punishment if he doesn't hit the road. Tenay drags himself away.
Recap of the latest events in TNA.
We are on tape from Wichita Falls, Texas. Jeremy Borash, Mr. Anderson, and Taz have the call for this week.
Aces & Eights make their way out. Mr. Anderson and Taz join Jeremy Borash at the announce table, taking their seats after giving Borash a few choice words.
Bully Ray is in a bad mood. Bully talks about the surprise return of Tito Ortiz, saying that no one can do surprises better than himself. Bully warns Ortiz to stay out of his way. Bully moves on to reason two, discussing his tag match with Devon against Chris Sabin and a mystery partner. However, none of this will matter next week, as Bully promises to get his belt back. Bully calls on Chris to get the contract signing out of the way or return his belt.
TNA World Heavyweight Champion Chris Sabin hits the ring. Bully tells Sabin that he believes he is scared of him and that the belt doesn't fit him. Sabin says looks can be deceiving, as evidenced by Bully turning his back on TNA earlier this year. Sabin believes Bully is full of it. Sabin says he has always believed in himself and that he will do it again at Hardcore Justice. Bully has had enough and wants the contract to be brought down, calling Hulk Hogan down.
Brooke Hogan appears instead. Hogan says her father is out of town, but she has corresponded with him about Bully's contracts. Hogan states that because of Bully's behavior, the contracts were reviewed and there was a stipulation found. The stipulation states that Bully losing at Hardcore Justice would mean he can never have a shot at the TNA World Heavyweight Championship again.
Bully says that he will not be pushed around by Sabin or any of the Hogan clan. Brooke Hogan says that it would be a shame for everyone to find out that Bully, not unlike his marriage, is little action and all talk. Both men sign the contract.
Taz and Mr. Anderson continue to harass Jeremy Borash, who previews the show as we head to break.

Bound for Glory Series shows Magnus in the lead, with Samoa Joe and AJ Styles not trailing far behind.
Bound for Glory Series Match One: Samoa Joe vs. Jeff Hardy
Lock up starts us off. Samoa Joe gets the arm wrench. Hardy with the rope break and another lock up sees Joe muscle Hardy into the corner. Hardy whipped into the corner, but he floats over to land a headscissors takeover to send Joe into the turnbuckle. Clothesline sends Joe outside. Hardy with a baseball slide kick that sends Joe into the barricade. Hardy on the apron and he connects with a flying clothesline.
Back inside, Joe reverses a whip with some brutal chops to the chest. Back splash in the corner is followed up by an enzuigiri for Joe. Hardy on the outside and Joe connects with a suicide dive that careens Hardy into the announce table as we break.
We return with Hardy unloading body shots, only to be on the wrong end of an inverted atomic drop. Joe off the ropes and he lands a back splash on the downed Hardy for a nearfall.
Snapmare from Joe leads to a reverse chinlock. Hardy fights his way out of the hold, but Joe yanks him down by his hair. After nearly being put into the corner, Hardy fights out with body shots. Joe rakes the face and lands some crisp jabs. The men engage in the middle of the ring, only for Joe to land a powerbomb. STF locked in for Joe. Hardy writhing in pain, but it does not stop as Joe transitions into another submission. Joe rolls Hardy over into a crucifix pin for a nearfall.
Hardy sent into the corner and Joe runs into a pair of mule kicks. Hardy unloading with chops and strikes. Clotheslines lead to the inverted atomic drop into a leg drop on the lower region of Joe. Dropkick followup earns Hardy a nearfall.
Joe with some jabs, but Hardy gets the Whisper in the Wind for a nearfall. Joe counters when it gets back to the feet, setting up Hardy for the Musclebuster. Hardy falls out and tries a Twist of Fate, but Joe locks in the Coquina Clutch. Mr. Anderson stands up at ringside and Joe turns his attention for a second. Hardy with a jawbreaker and stacking Joe on the mat.
Winner by pinfall: Jeff Hardy
Christopher Daniels backstage to discuss his match tonight with partner Frankie Kazarian. Daniels believes Kazarian is being selfish, as he considers himself the true leader of the group and that he has the better chance with more points in the Bound for Glory Series.
Bound for Glory Series Match Two: Mr. Anderson vs. Magnus
Mr. Anderson and Magnus stand in the middle of the ring exchanging strikes. Shoudler block by Anderson off the ropes. Magnus with a back elbow as a counter as Anderson hits the ropes again. Cornered, Anderson charges into a big boot by Magnus. Boot to the head from Anderson as Magnus attempts a back bodydrop. Anderson runs into a back bodydrop to the floor.
Both men brawling outside. Magnus getting the upper hand with his right hand punches. Anderson tosses Magnus into the steel steps and rams him into the apron.
Anderson maintaining control in the ring with shoulder shrugs to the chin. Magnus fighting out with strikes and he is able to send Anderson into the corner. Magnus charges, but runs into the feet of Anderson. Shoulder block by Anderson gets a nearfall.
Keylock submission on the left arm by Anderson. Magnus fighting out with some body shots. Front headlock in for Anderson, but Magnus blocks two suplex attempts to land one of his own. Anderson isolates the arm and falls back to hit the armbreaker for a series of nearfalls.
Anderson and Magnus exchanging strikes. Anderson works the arm and wrenches the arm to drag Magnus down. Clothesline attempt from Anderson misses and a Saito Suplex lands for Magnus. Series of clotheslines connects for Magnus. Anderson off the ropes and tries a crossbody, but Magnus catches him for a driver. Up top, Anderson meets Magnus with some blows. Magnus slips off the top rope, but is able to put Anderson down from the apron. Elbow drop from the top doesn't connect.
Bobby Roode runs in with a steel chair. Roode exchanges a glance of both men before striking Anderson across the back with the chair.
Winner by disqualification: Bobby Roode
Roode gives Magnus a taunting pat on the back as he leaves the ring.
Bobby Roode explaining his actions backstage. Roode says this a continuation of his transformation last week. Roode did this to take away points from the leader of the Bound for Glory Series.
Referee Brian Hebner being interviewed about the tough call. Magnus interrupts to tell Hebner not to worry, as tough calls are part of the business and he believes that he will get those ten points back one way or another.
The Bro-Mans in the locker room. TNA Knockouts Champion Mickie James tells the two to take care of TNA Tag Team Champions James Storm and Gunner and she will allow them to share the spotlight.
Recap of the events leading to the debut of Tito Ortiz.
Chris Sabin in the locker room. Sting and Kurt Angle meet up with him and Sabin has a plan for them later tonight in the main event.
Jeremy Borash introduces Tito Ortiz. Borash wants to know what Ortiz is doing here. Ortiz says that he doesn't have a lot of answers for him.
Kurt Angle makes his way out to confront Ortiz. Angle tells Ortiz that he is in his world now and that he has earned the right to be touted as one of the best. Angle states that he will respect Ortiz, but that goes both ways.
Bully Ray crashes the party. Bully informs Angle and Ortiz that he doesn't respect either of them. Ortiz would be tapped out by Bully and Bully reiterates that he has been beating on Angle for a while now. Bully gives one more warning for Ortiz to stay out of his way before leaving.
Match Three: The Bro-Mans & Mickie James vs. James Storm, Gunner & ODB
James Storm starts with Robbie E. Side headlock and shoulder block from Storm. Robbie tries a hip toss on Storm, only to be hip tossed himself. Storm floats over to the apron and nails Robbie with an enzuigiri. Running neckbreaker from Storm connects. Mickie James runs in as Storm mounts Robbie, prompting ODB to step inside and allow Jessie to cheap shot Storm from behind. Robbie stomps Storm down.
Double-team attack after Jessie is brought in gets a nearfall. Dropkick from Jessie connects. Storm turns out of a neckbreaker to hit a side kick to the chest of Jessie. DDT plants Jessie. Storm sent into the corner and he gets the boot up. Jessie rams Storm into the corner and starts unloading with shoulder bumps and strikes.
Robbie brought in again. He shoves the face of Storm and heads off the ropes, only to be on the wrong end of a backbreaker.
Gunner in and he comes in like a bull in a china shop. Clotheslines for both Jessie and Robbie before he connects with an STO on the latter. Mickie James runs in and jumps on the back of Gunner, only to be ripped off by her hair and quickly disposed of. Gunner looks for the Gun Rack submission, but Jessie breaks it up. Last Call Superkick plants Jessie and Gunner catches Robbie. Double-team driver connects.
Winners by pinfall: James Storm, Gunner, and ODB
Post-match. Gail Kim and Mickie James get their shots in on ODB.
Frankie Kazarian backstage to discuss his match tonight. Kazarian says that Christopher Daniels must have forgotten who he is and what he is capable of. He aims to remind fans of that tonight.
Bully Ray and Devon discussing their accolades and their plans for tonight. Bully Ray plans to teach Chris Sabin a lesson in respect, while Devon plans to send a message to Main Event Mafia.
Bound for Glory Series Match Four: Christopher Daniels vs. Kazarian
The two work a series of lock ups and disengages. Fireman's carry from Kazarian turns into an armbar submission. Christopher Daniels rolls through to grab an arm wrench. Kazarian spins out on the ropes and he gets sent off the ropes. Arm drag into an armbar from Daniels, who rubs the head of Kazarian. Daniels off the ropes and he cartwheels over Kazarian to land an arm drag and lock in another armbar. Kazarian counters with a headscissors choke. Drop toehold into a neck crank by Kazarian. Daniels sends Kazarian off the ropes, but he gets rolled up after a leapfrog for a nearfall.
Kazarian hits a side headlock takeover into the side headlock. Daniels turns Kazarian over for a series of nearfalls. Daniels back to his feet with a backslide pin attempt.
The two exchanging counters upon counters. Shoulder bump from Kazarian. The men engage in a shouting match before shoving each other. The two locked in a heated staredown. Both men exit the ring and begin to celebrate as the referee's count winds down.
Bobby Roode makes way to the ring past Christopher Daniels and Kazarian. Roode says that everyone has been buzzing about Main Event Mafia and Aces & Eights so much that they forgot about the three in the ring. Roode says these three are a new force and that one of them will be taking home the title shot from the Bound for Glory Series.

Match Five: Team 3D vs. Chris Sabin & Kurt Angle
Sting accompanies Chris Sabin down the ramp, only to have Kurt Angle jump Team 3D from behind. The match starts a one-sided brawl with Angle and Sabin in control.
Angle and Devon move outside. Sabin pummeling Bully Ray's back with kicks in the corner. Sabin choking Bully with his boot in the corner. Sabin and Angle both in control. Everyone in the ring now and Sabin and Angle whip Team 3D into each other. Clothesline by Angle for Devon and bulldog by Sabin for Bully. Angle and Devon become legal and a snap suplex from Angle gets a nearfall.
Devon rakes the eyes to tag out to Bully. Bully muscles Angle into the corner, only for Angle to duck his attack for an arm drag and armbar. Sabin brought in with an axhandle smash to the arm of Bully's left arm getting worked over in a bad way by Sabin.
Angle in once again and he maintains control, striking Bully Ray down. Angle goes to attack Devon on the apron, allowing Bully to get an ankle pick takedown and a bit of work on the legs.
Devon now in and hits a headbutt to the downed Angle. Angle sent into the corner with velocity, only to charge out with a clothesline.
Both teams exchanging frequent tags. Bully Ray plants Sabin with a big boot and goes after Angle. Angle looking to get in the ring and the referee is distracted. Devon poised up top and he lands the flying headbutt to the groin. Bully heads to the apron to make the ghost tag as we hit break.
We return with Devon punishing Sabin in the corner with right hands. Snapmare followed up by a kneedrop to the head that earns a nearfall.
Reverse chinlock in for Devon. Sabin fighting back to his feet, only to be yanked down by his hair. Body shot from Devon lands. Scoop slam into a leg drop from Devon.
Bully in with a clubbing blow on Sabin. Bully taunting Sabin, saying that this isn't even half as bad as what he plans to do next week. The hands of Sabin are stomped and Bully unloading before landing a thunderous chop to the chest. Sabin fighting back with a sunset flip, but Bully stops and only succeeds in punching the canvas. Enzuigiri attempt by Sabin is caught and he gets the injured left knee rammed into the mat.
Devon back inside to continue to work on the legs of Sabin. Devon sits the leg of Sabin on the bottom rope and stands atop it, driving all of his weight down into the knee. Up top, Devon looking for an attack, but he comes down to plant his face into the upturned boot of Sabin.
Angle brought in and he has clotheslines galore for Team 3D. Belly-to-belly suplex sends Devon flying across the ring. German Suplex connects on Bully for a nearfall. Angle Slam on Bully earns another close nearfall.
Devon blindsides Angle with a strike. Devon looking for a bodydrop, but he gets kicked in the face for his troubles. Bully gets an STO on Angle for another close nearfall.
Bully standing atop Angle. Angle rolls through with the leg intact to put on the Ankle Lock. Bully having trouble fighting out of the hold, but Devon attempts to attack Angle. Belly-to-belly suplex again on Devon. Bully stops all of this by roughing Angle up in the corner. Bully charges, only to run into a back elbow from Angle.
Blind tag made by Sabin. Missile dropkick on Bully Ray from the top. Spinning back kick to the gut of Devon. Both members of Team 3D cornered and Sabin following up with forearms and elbows for both men. Sabin runs into a back elbow from Bully, who charges out of the corner. Sabin ducks and Bully takes Devon out with a clothesline. Enzuigiri connects on Bully, but Devon barely breaks the pin.
Angle opening up on Devon, but Bully Ray has dispensed of Sabin on the ramp. He moves back inside to hit a 3D on Angle. Bully directs Devon to get the table and he obliges him. The table is set up in the corner and Devon punches him into the table. Sabin sidesteps Bully through the table. Devon is sent out and Sabin heads up top to land a crossbody.
Winners by pinfall: Chris Sabin and Kurt Angle
The show closes with Team 3D laid out and Angle and Sabin celebrating their victory.
