WWE Main Event: Shield, Usos in six-man tag action

The Shield and The Usos have been on a collision course for the past few weeks. WWE Tag Team Champions Roman Reigns and Seth Rollins have been able to keep their gold against Jimmy and Jey Uso by any means necessary. Tonight on WWE Main Event, The Shield takes on The Usos and a strong force they have befriend in Mark Henry. All that and more on this week's edition of WWE Main Event.

We are on tape from Rockford, Ill. Josh Mathews and The Miz have the call for this week.

Match One: The Shield vs. The Usos & Mark Henry

The Usos and Mark Henry chase The Shield out of the ring before the match officially starts.

Jimmy Uso and Seth Rollins start. Side headlock into an arm wrench for Rollins. Jimmy counters out into a side headlock of his own. Rollins sends Jimmy off the ropes, only to be on the wrong end of a shoulder block. Rollins ducking and leapfrogging into a failed hip toss. Stiff lariat counter by Jimmy gains a nearfall.


Jey Uso brought in and a double-team chop is followed by a double-team elbow drop for a nearfall.

Rollins fights back to tag out to Dean Ambrose. Ambrose gets arm dragged into an armbar from Jey. Jey smashes the arm into the mat. Ambrose with a handful of hair. muscling Jey into the corner. The referee wants a clean break, but Ambrose unleashing punch combinations. Elbow dragged across the face and a shoulder to the gut from Ambrose. Jey reverses a whip and sends Ambrose into the corner, hitting a backdrop. Scoop slam and a headbutt to the chest gets Jey a nearfall.

Jimmy back in with an axhandle smash to the arm. Mark Henry tags in and Ambrose immediately scampers away. Ambrose in the corner and he tries to juke his way past Henry, only to get tossed right back into the corner.

Roman Reigns provides a distraction to allow Ambrose to chop block the knee before tagging in. Reigns with some strikes and a pair of clotheslines. Reigns goes for the third, but runs into the boot of Henry. Reigns sent over the top and Henry headbutts Ambrose off the apron to join him. Rollins up top, only to run into a chop from The Usos. Jey Uso with the running butt bump in the corner on Rollins. The Usos point at Henry, who tries a butt bump of his own. Rollins is bailed out by his partners on the floor as we break.

We return with Mark Henry tagging out to Jimmy Uso, who goes to work on Roman Reigns. Flying punch in the corner from Jimmy. Reigns reverses a whip to hit a back elbow.

Ambrose brought in. Ambrose taking Jimmy to task with right hands. Jey Uso causing a distraction on the apron, allowing The Shield to unload cheap shots as the referee is focused on maintaining order. Elbow drop from Ambrose connects for a nearfall.

Rollins brought in with a kick to the chest. Snapmare into a kick of the spine by Rollins. Reverse chinlock in and Jimmy fights out, but runs into a scoop slam from Rollins. Back splash from Rollins does not connect.

Jey Uso brought in and he comes in like a tornado. Series of clotheslines into a flying shoulder tackle are followed by a side kick to the abdomen. Ducking chop to the head of Rollins converts. Rollins ducks the clothesline attempt and downs Jey with an enzuigiri.

Reigns brought in for a side slam nearfall and strikes to grind Jey down. The referee again distracted and Ambrose starts striking from the apron. Reigns with a running lariat that gets a nearfall.


The Shield stands triumphant with their gold.

Ambrose in with a stomp and knee drop to the spine. Reverse chinlock locked in, then transitioned to a straitjacket choke. Jey stomps the feet of Ambrose and heads off the ropes, only to be met with a running knee lift that knocks the wind out of him. Ambrose wishbones Jey to land stomps to the stomach.

Rollins inside. Rollins taunting Jey, who lands slaps to the face. Rollins rocked and Jey looks for the tag, only to be caught by Rollins. Hot shot gets Rollins a nearfall.

Reigns back in and he locks in the front headlock. Jey fights back to his feet, only to eat a knee to the head for a nearfall. Rollins brought in for the double-team suplex for another nearfall on the fatigued Jey Uso. Ambrose quickly brought in and the double-team Saito Suplex is flipped out of. Superkick plants Ambrose and Rollins gets a tornado kick for good measure.

Mark Henry is in and he takes out Rollins and Ambrose with a pair of clotheslines. Reigns sent flying off the apron and Henry continues the clothesline onslaught. Henry rakes the face of Rollins and tosses him into the corner on top of Ambrose. Splash sandwiches the two.

Jimmy Uso brought in for the splash from the top rope. Henry plays matador by sidestepping Reigns, sending him out. The splash connects, but Henry is tripped up by Reigns in front of the referee. The referee has his back turned and Rollins runs in to hit the Blackout stomp.

Winners by pinfall: The Shield

The Shield delivering a promo backstage. Dean Ambrose says that was just a walk in the park and lazy, wastes of men like Mark Henry better recognize they aren't wrestling rookies. Rollins says they are so far from everyone else and they will take out anyone they please. Reigns puts everyone on warning.

Match Two: Aksana vs. Natalya

Natalya opens up with a schoolboy rollup for a nearfall.

Aksana locks up and muscles Natalya into the ropes by her hair. Break from the referee allows Aksana to land a slap and a side headlock takeover into the headlock itself. Natalya counters out into a headscissors choke. Natalya with a chain of submissions into the side headlock takeover. Aksana counters out and we restart on the feet. Kick by Natalya is caught, so she rolls through into a leglock.

Rope break prompts Aksana to grab a side headlock and a shoulder block. Natalya fights Aksana off to a Sharpshooter attempt. Aksana crawls her way to the ropes to break the hold.

Aksana with a kick to the knee and she shows ruthless aggression in pummeling the knee with strikes. Leglock around the bottom rope further stretches the injured leg. Pair of elbow drops to the knee is turned into a leglock. Natalya elbows the back of her head to get out, but Aksana still able to unload stomps as Natalya struggles to her feet. Aksana on all fours to bust out a swinging kick to the mouth for a nearfall.

Aksana looking for more offense, but Natalya with a rollup on the leg. Sharpshooter transition is locked in. Aksana crawling close to the ropes, but Natalya gets her to the middle of the ring.

Winner by submission: Natalya

Match Three: Curtis Axel (w/Paul Heyman) vs. Sin Cara

Paul Heyman joins the commentary team.

After a brief feeling out process, Curtis Axel locks up Sin Cara and drives him into the corner. Axel toying with him in the corner. Lock up again sees Axel doing more of the same. Lock up once more sees Sin Cara climbing the corner to hit his signature flying arm drag. Sin Cara gets the back of Axel, only to be put into an arm wrench. Sin Cara countering out into a series of arm drags. Drop toehold into a hammerlock. Sunset flip by Sin Cara earns him the first nearfall.

Axel puts Sin Cara down and goes to work in the corner with chops. Whip into the ropes puts Sin Cara into a back elbow. Stomps lead to a chop for Axel. Sin Cara reignites some offense with leg kicks into the springboard arm drag. Series of dropkicks sends Axel tumbling out to the floor. Suicide dive puts Axel down.

Back inside, Sin Cara gets bodydropped to the apron. Enzuigiri attempt is caught and countered by a punch. Shoulder to the midsection sends Sin Cara to the arena floor as we break.

We return with Axel hitting an elbow drop from the second rope. Nearfall turned into a shoulder submission. Sin Cara fights out of the front headlock from Axel and heads off the ropes, only to be planted by a dropkick for a nearfall.

Sin Cara cornered and Axel tees off. Snapmare into a running neckbreaker for a nearfall.

Series of elbow drops land on the downed Sin Cara. Axel goes to the well one too many times, allowing Sin Cara to roll away. Kick to the back and a dropkick earn a nearfall for Sin Cara.

Axel stops this with a clubbing forearm and follows up by striking Sin Cara into the mat. Saito Suplex attempt is flipped out of by Sin Cara, who lands a side kick to the stomach. Sin Cara up top and he converts on a missile dropkick. Chops and a springboard back elbow are followed up by a headscissors takeover. Tilt-a-whirl arm drag converts. A cornered Axel bodydrops Sin Cara into the apron, only to be met with an enzuigiri. Sin Cara looking to fly again and a crossbody earns him a nearfall. Side kick into an Asai DDT earns Sin Cara another nearfall.

Elbows from Axel allow him to get up top. He lands right on a dropkick from Sin Cara for a nearfall. Sin Cara up top and he moonsaults right into the boots of Axel. Axel ragdolls Sin Cara into the Saito Suplex. Face plant neckbreaker puts Sin Cara out.

Winner by pinfall: Curtis Axel

Show closes with Curtis Axel holding his WWE Intercontinental Championship with Paul Heyman at his side.
