WWE Main Event: Barrett looks resurgent against R-Truth

Hard times have fallen upon former WWE Intercontinental Champion Wade Barrett. Since losing the belt, Barrett has seemingly lost step in the ring. Tonight on WWE Main Event, Barrett looks to regain momentum and start back on the winning track against R-Truth. All of that and more on this week's edition of WWE Main Event!

We are on tape from Houston, Texas. Josh Mathews and John Bradshaw Layfield have the call for this week.

Match One: R-Truth vs. Wade Barrett

Lockup leads to Wade Barrett getting the back of R-Truth. Hip toss takeover from Barrett. Truth gets the hammerlock, but Barrett gets a shoulder block. Truth sent off the ropes, but he locks on and taunt Barrett to hit a hip toss. Leg drop from Truth connects for a nearfall.

Barrett heads outside to regroup. Return to the ring and Barrett backs Truth into the corner and connects with a barrage of elbows. Snapmare to the mat gets Barrett a nearfall.

Missed splash in the corner sees Truth land armdrags into an armbar. Barrett backs him into the ropes and hits a knee to the abdomen. Snapmare followed up by a missed knee drop allows Truth to reapply the armbar. Barrett out after one right hand and a series of clotheslines. A pair of elbow drops from Barrett gets a nearfall.

Truth sent into the corner, where he mule kicks Barrett. Headscissors takeover introduces Barrett to the turnbuckle, where he falls outside. Truth charges Barrett on the floor, but gets flapjacked on the steel steps. Barrett heads inside as we break.

We return with Barrett choking Truth on the second rope. Clinch and knees from Barrett are followed up by a big boot to the outside. Barrett follows him out and tackles Truth into the barricade and the ring apron. Back inside, Barrett gets a nearfall. Suplex from Barrett earns another nearfall.

Sleeper locked in on Truth. Truth elbowing the body and fighting out with shots, but Barrett with the running knee to the stomach of Truth. Running boot to the head connects for a Barrett nearfall. Truth cornered and stomped down. Barrett lays him across the top rope and lands a running knee to the stomach for another nearfall.

Sleeper in once again. Truth works the body, but Barrett with an elbow to the neck. Corkscrew kick from Truth turns the tide and puts Barrett down. Clotheslines from Truth are followed by a back elbow. Front suplex gets the resurgent Truth a nearfall.

Scissors kick attempt is ducked out of by Barrett, who counters with a side kick to the body. Side kick to the head gets Barrett a nearfall. Barrett working Truth in the corner. Lariat misses and Truth hits the scissors kick for a close nearfall.

Truth heading up top, but Barrett crotches him. Punches from Barrett as he heads up top to meet Truth. Truth fights back and hits a sunset flip into a powerbomb for a nearfall.

Truth working Barrett in the corner and he charges right into the Winds of Change. Truth under the ropes and he breaks the pin. Bullhammer incoming, but Truth ducks and hits What's Up? Barrett falls to the floor and Truth tries to drag him back in. Truth going for a suicide dive, but Barrett uses this to connect with a Bullhammer.

Winner by pinfall: Wade Barrett

Match Two: The Prime Time Players vs. The Usos

Darren Young starts with Jimmy Uso. Lockup leads to a side headlock for Young. Armbar in for Young and it leads to a shoulder block. Young off the ropes and it leads to a clothesline from Jimmy Uso. Jimmy locks in an armbar of his own to take control.

Jey Uso in with a splash on the arm of Young. Jey continues with his attack on the left arm, locking in an armbar of his own. Knee drop on the arm gets a nearfall.

Jey Uso continuing to work the armbar on Young. Young fights out and sends Jey into the corner, only to miss a splash. Armdrag into yet another armbar for Jey. Young struggling to escape the hold.

Jimmy Uso brought in with a strike. Huge chop to the chest of Young followed by an armdrag. Armbar in yet again for Jimmy. Young fights out with a handful of hair, but he sends Jimmy into Titus O'Neil. O'Neil tangled with the referee as Jimmy hits an armdrag into an armbar.

Jey Uso in with the referee's back turned to continue the hold. Arm wrench and Jimmy Uso brought back in with a splash on the arm. Jey does the same as the two exchange quick tags. Titus O'Neil brought in as we break.

We return with Titus O'Neil tossing Jey around. Darren Young brought in and The Usos double-team, bringing in Jimmy Uso for a nearfall.

Young with some offense to bring Titus O'Neil in. Jimmy and O'Neil exchange some offense before Jimmy cinches the side headlock in. Jey Uso tangled up with the referee and O'Neil sends Jimmy into the knee of Young on the apron with the referee distracted.

Young brought in and he kicks the ribs of Jimmy Uso. Both men out on the apron and Young with a swinging neckbreaker right on top of the ring apron. O'Neil brought back in and brings Jimmy Uso inside for a nearfall.

Neck crank and armlock in on Jimmy from O'Neil. Jimmy fighting out, but O'Neil drags him to the mat by his hair and reapplies the hold. Jimmy fighting out with body blows once again, but O'Neil sends him into the corner with some velocity to put him down. O'Neil does this once again.

Young back in and O'Neil with a front suplex on his partner on top of Jimmy Uso for a nearfall. Young with the chinlock and some fish-hooking tactics. Jimmy fighting up and the two collide in the middle of the ring. Both men fighting to their feet and Jimmy Uso puts Young down.

Titus O'Neil and Jey Uso now in. Jey flies over O'Neil and lands a running forearm in the corner on Young. O'Neil squashes Young after being the bull to the matador of Jey. Side kick and chopping blow to the head of O'Neil. Splash and forearm lead to the butt splash in the corner for a nearfall.

Darren Young in illegally, but Jimmy Uso steps in to send him on his way. Double superkick connects and Jimmy now made the legal man. Splash from the top rope connects.

Winners by pinfall: The Usos

Raw Recap shows the respect between WWE Champion John Cena and Daniel Bryan before their showdown at SummerSlam.

Match Three: Mark Henry vs. Drew McIntyre

Mark Henry muscles Drew McIntyre into the corner. McIntyre rakes the face and Henry pushes him back before tossing him out of the ring with ease. McIntyre comes back in swinging, but Henry with a monster clothesline. Headbutt follows, but McIntyre ducks out of a splash in the corner. Clotheslines to the front and back of Henry followed by a running boot for a nearfall.

McIntyre off the ropes, but he gets shoulder bumped into the air. Running powerslam from Henry earns a nearfall. World's Strongest Slam is flipped out of by McIntyre, but Henry ducks a clothesline to connect with the finisher.

Winner by pinfall: Mark Henry

The show closes with Mark Henry standing triumphant in victory.
