WWE Main Event: Sheamus battles Swagger

Ever since his alliance with Zeb Colter, "Real American" Jack Swagger has shown a ruthless streak that has taken down many in his path. Tonight on WWE Main Event, the size and strength of Swagger will be matched by Sheamus. Which big man will come out on top? All of that and more on this week's edition of WWE Main Event.

We are on tape from Laredo, Texas. Josh Mathews and The Miz have the call for this week.

Zeb Colter has a bit to say before the match. Colter asks if he is in the United States or if he is in Mexico. Colter says that he stayed so close to the border last night that he saw some shadows sneaking across the border and he believes a few of them are in the crowd tonight. Colter believes that Sheamus somehow managed to sneak into this country and he cannot fool real Americans.

Match One: Sheamus vs. Jack Swagger

Jack Swagger dives for a single-leg. Sheamus muscled into the corner, but he punches out. Lockup again and Sheamus gets a side headlock throw. Swagger reverses into one of his own. Sheamus with a headscissors choke, but Swagger attacking the thigh bruise of Sheamus to get out. The two brawling around the ring. Both men attacking in the corner, with Swagger getting the better of it with knees and a splash. DDT on the leg of Sheamus. Both men again trading blows. Lariat from Sheamus smashes Swagger for a nearfall.

Back elbow from Swagger connects. Whip countered by Sheamus, but Swagger holds the ropes for another back elbow. Swagger charges right into a powerslam from Sheamus for a nearfall.

Zeb Colter attempts to get involved, but Sheamus connects with a back elbow of his own to prevent the sneak attack from Swagger. Sheamus attempts to take advantage, but he gets back dropped to the outside. Swagger follows Sheamus out and chop blocks the injured leg. Kneebreaker on the steel steps has Sheamus down as we break.

We return with Swagger working a leglock. Sheamus kicking the head to get out. Sheamus unloading with shots, but Swagger ducks and puts Sheamus up top. Clubbing blows to the back and Sheamus is in the tree of woe. Swagger stomping a mudhole and walking it dry. Swagger Bomb connects for a nearfall.

Swagger up top and he gets caught taunting. Electric chair from Sheamus lands and both men down. Both men back to their feet and they again exchange blows. Sheamus with the axhandle smashes into the knee lift. Irish Curse connects and Swagger gets the shoulder up on the nearfall. Sheamus on the apron and he can't get up top. Forearm shiver leads to a battering ram that gets another nearfall on Swagger.

Forearm smash leads to a Texas Cloverleaf attempt, but Swagger fights out and connects with a knee to the thigh. Gutwrench throw puts Sheamus down. Swagger charges, but he is backdropped to the floor by Sheamus. Sheamus with the clubbing of the chest from his knees. Action moves back inside. Swagger counters offense into a double-leg slam for a nearfall.

Patriot Lock keyed in on the injured left leg of Sheamus. Sheamus twisting and turning every which way, but nothing doing. Sheamus inching towards the ropes and he makes it. Swagger moves outside and tries to work the leg of Sheamus around the post, but Sheamus pulls him into the post. Swagger charges back in on Sheamus inside and runs right into a Brogue Kick.

Winner by pinfall: Sheamus

Match Two: Sin Cara vs. Drew McIntyre (w/3MB)

Sin Cara opens up with a series of side kicks to the stomach of Drew McIntyre. McIntyre muscles Sin Cara into the corner, but Sin Cara kicks him away. Flying arm drag from the top and a springboard arm drag convert for the luchador. Springboard back elbow is sidestepped by McIntyre, who charges and falls onto the apron. Sin Cara blocks a suplex on the apron and connects with an enzuigiri that sends McIntyre inside. Heath Slater stops a springboard attack by yanking Sin Cara into the ring apron.

Outside, McIntyre ramming Sin Cara into the apron. Action moves inside and McIntyre chops Sin Cara to the mat. Jump stomp on the chest leads to Sin Cara fighting back with strikes. McIntyre clubs him back and sends him off the ropes. Sin Cara pressed into the air, but he connects with an enzuigiri. Both men down. Leg kicks from Sin Cara when the men get back up. Springboard elbow and an arm drag lead to a headscissors takeover that sends McIntyre to the floor.

Sin Cara looking for a crossbody, but 3MB catch him and deposit him back inside. Drop kick to the knees of McIntyre puts him to a knee. Sin Cara off the ropes and he hits a hurricanrana DDT that drives the head of McIntyre into the mat.

Winner by pinfall: Sin Cara

Raw Recap shows the gauntlet Daniel Bryan was forced to run.

"Mr. Money in the Bank" Damien Sandow makes his way out. Sandow says it is duty to dispel the myths about the fake heroes in the WWE and that the WWE Universe do not know what it is like to win a Money in the Bank ladder match, much less anything else. Sandow says that he will proudly bear that cross and reminds the fans how welcome they are.

Match Three: Damien Sandow vs. Justin Gabriel

Lockup leads to Damien Sandow muscling Justin Gabriel in the corner with a little hair-pulling. Lockup again sees Sandow get a hammerlock. Gabriel transitions into a side headlock. Sandow gets the rope break and unleashes some strikes. Gabriel with a leg sweep, a back slide, and a crucifix for a series of nearfall.

Sandow uses power to stifle the momentum of Gabriel. Sandow working Gabriel into the corner. Gabriel counters with a chop and a series of right hands. Drop toehold from Sandow and some clubbing forearms to the neck earn him a nearfall.

Sleeper hold in for Sandow. Gabriel fights to his feet and hits a jawbreaker. Suplex attempt for Sandow countered to a rollup for Gabriel. Forearm smash for Sandow gets yet another nearfall.

Sandow again working the sleeper. Gabriel makes his way back up and counters with an arm drag. Flying elbow drop followed up by a spinning wheel kick. Gabriel up top, but Sandow hits the top rope and Gabriel lands on his stomach. Gabriel topples to the floor and the referee begins his count as we break.

Gabriel sent into the corner on his stomach as we return. Sandow dropping the knees into the abdomen for a nearfall.

Abdominal stretch locked in. Sandow striking the obliques with his elbow. Gabriel with a quick turn into an abdominal stretch of his own, but Sandow counters into a hip toss. Elbow drop misses and Gabriel off the ropes, but he eats a knee to the stomach. Elbow of Disdain connects for a nearfall.

Legscissors around the midsection of Gabriel. The legs disconnected by Gabriel and he gets out. Sandow sends him into the corner, but Gabriel gets his boot up and hits a headscissors takeover that sends Sandow outside. Running dropkick to the floor on Sandow. Action moves back inside. Springboard dropkick to the back of Sandow gets a close nearfall.

Gabriel tilt-a-whirls into a reverse DDT. Springboard moonsault on Sandow gets another nearfall. STO plants Sandow and Gabriel up top for the 450 Splash. Sandow ducks under and hits a neckbreaker for a nearfall.

Terminus attempt turned out by Gabriel for a rollup nearfall. Discus forearm connects in the corner. Splash misses and Sandow gets the full nelson slam.

Winner by pinfall: Damien Sandow
