TNA Impact: Chris Sabin shocks Bully Ray at Destination X

TNA World Heavyweight Champion Bully Ray has claimed victim upon victim with a little help from his friend. Size or heart couldn't overcome the numbers Bully brought. Tonight on TNA Impact, Chris Sabin gets his shot to reach the pinnacle of TNA. With the TNA World Heavyweight Championship on the line, will Sabin rise to the occasion or fall at the hands of Bully and Aces & Eights? All that and more on this week's special Destination X edition of TNA Impact!

We are LIVE from Louisville, Ky. Mike Tenay and Jeremy Borash have the call for this week.

TNA World Heavyweight Champion Bully Ray makes his way out. Bully has had enough hearing about "one little boy" named Chris Sabin. Bully says that the crowd can chant for him all they want, but he has no chance. The crowd wants to throw a parade for Sabin and Bully suggests a funeral instead. Tonight marks a night where Aces & Eights will reign supreme, but Bully has other business and invites Brooke Hogan out for a chat.

Brooke has no idea what else Bully could want. Hogan says she is moving on and Bully should, too. Bully says that he has waited all week to tell her that she can move on when he tells her to.

Hulk Hogan makes his way out and says enough is enough. Bully has taken everything away from TNA and Hogan has had it. The Hogans walk off, but Bully calls them back to tell them that he will never give Brooke up with a divorce and that he will never lose the belt.

Kurt Angle and the Main Event Mafia are on the screen. Angle says that they will ensure tonight is a fair fight and that Bully will lose his belt tonight, proving this family is stronger than the Aces & Eights brotherhood.

Bobby Roode backstage. Roode has a sour taste in his mouth about Destination X 2012 and he wants to prove it was a fluke tonight by earning points in the Bound for Glory Series.

Bound for Glory Series standings show Magnus in the lead by a sizable margin.

Bound for Glory Series Match One: Bobby Roode vs. Austin Aries

Lockup starts gets Bobby Roode a side headlock. Rope running predicament leads to an Austin Aries armdrag. Headscissors choke from Roode flipped out of by Aries, who misses a dropkick. Lockup gets Aries the side headlock. Aries running the ropes and Roode catches him with a tilt-a-whirl backbreaker. Aries on the apron and Roode looking for a suplex, but Roode on the wrong end of a back bodydrop instead.

Roode on the outside and Aries headed up top. Axhandle smash to the head of Roode. Aries brings it back inside and heads up once again. Crossbody attempt is countered by a huge dropkick. Aries outside again and Roode on the apron. Flying clothesline puts Aries down as we break.

Bobby Roode in control as we return. Austin Aries fighting out with body blows, but Double R Spinebuster from Roode plants him. Aries sat up top and the two exchange strikes. Boxing of the ears sends Roode down and Aries hits the 450 splash for a nearfall.

Both men up and exchanging shots in the middle of the ring. Brutal chop from Aries. Roode bodydrops Aries to the ramp, then moves out of his attempt to enter the ring with offense. Aries back inside and he hits Roode with a suicide dive that sends him into the steel steps perpendicular with the ramp.

Inside, Aries connects with a missile dropkick. Running dropkick into the corner. Brainbuster attempt countered out of by Roode. Aries flips through the counter and hits a crucifix pin attempt. Crossface locked in for Roode. Aries not tapping so he rolls him up for a nearfall. Both men exchanging pin attempts to no avail.

DDT from Aries resets everything. Roode cornered and Aries charges right into a mule kick. Spear attempt from Roode is turned into a front headlock for Aries, who attempts the Brainbuster yet again. Roode flips through and hits a lariat for a nearfall.

Fisherman's Suplex is turned around by Aries. Discus forearm wobbles Roode. Aries going for the Brainbuster once more, but Roode gets him on his shoulders. Aries again wiggling out and he has Roode up for the Brainbuster. Down he goes.

Winner by pinfall: Austin Aries

Roode taking out his frustration on the announce table and ringside equipment post-match.

Hernandez and Homicide have a reunion backstage. Chavo Guerrero soon joins them and details their plan for the rest of the year.

Aces & Eights meeting backstage. Mr. Anderson says D.O.C. has turned in his cut and the group prepares for their night.

Ultimate X Qualifying Match Two: Homicide vs. Petey Williams vs. Sonjay Dutt

The match opens up with the three men brawling. Fast-paced action sees Sonjay Dutt and Petey Williams sent to the arena floor. Homicide with a flip dive to take both men out.

Williams and Homicide back in. Homicide on the second rope and Williams with a running dropkick. Dutt flying in, but Williams grabs a full nelson. Dutt twists out and hits a headscissors takeover that sends Williams outside. Homicide gets the same treatment. Williams with a shoulder bump to the stomach from the apron and a double knee facebreaker converts for a nearfall.

Williams looking for the Indian Deathlock. Homicide charges and gets armdragged. Williams with the hold in on Dutt. Homicide with a diving headbutt to break the hold, putting all three down. The trio exchanging strikes in the middle of the ring. Williams and Dutt sent into opposite corners. Forearm splashes from Homicide convert. German Suplex to Williams and a spinning cutter on Dutt gets a nearfall.

Dutt sat up top by Homicide. Dutt punches out, but Williams crotches him in the corner and puts him in the tree of woe. Homicide looks for the Gringo Killer, but Williams out and pushed into the corner. Back elbow to Homicide and he heads up, only to be suplexed by Dutt. Gringo Killer hits Williams, but Dutt falls out of the corner to break the pinfall.

Homicide looking to connect on Dutt, but Dutt hits an Asai DDT. Moonstomp converts.

Winner by pinfall: Sonjay Dutt

Ultimate X Qualifying Match Three: Kenny King vs. Chavo Guerrero vs. Manik

Kenny King opens up on Manik, but Chavo Guerrero soon joins in. Guerrero sent out and King on the apron. Atomic drop and an enzuigiri to the back of the head of Manik. Running dropkick to Guerrero on the outside. Snap suplex on Manik followed by some ground and pound. Manik sent off the ropes, but he headscissors into a stretcher submission. Deathlock in on King. Guerrero attempts to break it, but Manik with a Northern Lights Suplex to score a nearfall while still using the hold.

Manik sent off the ropes, but he catches himself in between. Running dropkick from Guerrero sends him out. Headscissors takeover and a missile dropkick on King from the top get a nearfall.

Manik back up top and he takes both men out with a crossbody. Guerrero sent into the turnbuckle on his head. Springboard crossbody on King. Guerrero thwarts the offense with a kick. The men trading and Manik sends Guerrero into King. Manik pressed up by Guerrero to hit a dropkick on King. Crucifix pin attempt gets Manik a nearfall on Guerrero.

Guerrero connecting with two of the Three Amigos on Manik and all three on King. Guerrero heading up, but Manik meets him. Manik sent down and he gets running kneed in the back by King, which crotches Guerrero. Enzuigiri sends Guerrero outside. King celebrating and Manik from behind with his gutbuster.

Winner by pinfall: Manik

Main Event Mafia backstage. Sting rallying the troops and asks if everyone is ready to go. Quinton "Rampage" Jackson is ready to knock someone out as they head out.

Video package hyping the clash between Sabin and Bully for the TNA World Heavyweight Championship.

Hogan backstage with Sabin. Hogan wants Sabin to make sure they remember him tonight and to bring the belt back home. Sabin thanks Hogan with a handshake.

Main Event Mafia makes their way out. Sting is ready for Aces & Eights because the group is custom-made to take them on. Kurt Angle says that tonight will be brutal and vicious for all the wrongs Aces & Eights has committed. Magnus declares that everyone is ready and calls for Aces & Eights to meet them in the ring.

Mr. Anderson appears on the screen with the rest of Aces & Eights behind him. Anderson says that they will do things on their time and they have to prepare for the party after Bully retains tonight. Anderson extends a cordial invitation to the Main Event Mafia to join them.

The Mafia heads back. Anderson baits them into a room where the group begins to brawl. Devon barricades the door and Bully Ray takes out Kurt Angle from behind. Angle tossed into the back of a truck and driven off as we break.

Ultimate X Qualifying Match Four: Rubix vs. Rockstar Spud vs. Greg Marasciulo

Rubix and Greg Marasciulo take out Rockstar Spud to start. Marasciulo holding the side headlock on Rubix while Spud is sent outside. Elbow drops Rubix. Chops to chest of Rubix. Both men going at it. Spud locks the legs of Marasciulo as he runs the ropes, only to eat a dropkick. Rubix soon follows up with a suicide dive to the floor. Marasciulo cracks Rubix with a clothesline on the outside and sends Spud back inside for a nearfall.

Spud regains control inside with strikes and works Marasciulo in the corner. Marasciulo fights back with a huge chop to the chest. Spud rakes the eyes and gets a rollup for a nearfall.

Rubix in and he picks up Spud, only to plant him on the mat. Running dropkick for a nearfall.

Spud sent out to the apron and run off after being rammed into the ring post. Springboard elbow by Marasciulo sends him to the floor. Enzuigiri from the apron connects for Rubix. Hurricanrana from the top sends Marasciulo outside. Bridging German Suplex on Spud earns another nearfall.

Spud cornered and Rubix gets an unflattering meeting with the turnbuckle. Spud stomping the hand of Rubix and he hits a shining wizard on the kneeling opponent for a nearfall.

Strikes from Spud on Rubix before he takes the back. Flying dropkick from Marasciulo sends Spud outside. Flip dive followup from Marasciulo connects. Marasciulo back up top, but Rubix with a kick and an enzuigiri. Marasciulo down in the corner and Rubix connects with a coast-to-coast dropkick from the top. Spud sends Rubix out to take advantage but only gets a nearfall.

Headbutt from Spud sends Marasciulo to the floor. Spud looking for a powerbomb, but Marasciulo is too much for him and puts him upside down on his back. Marasciulo drops him with his weight landing on Spud's chest.

Winner by pinfall: Greg Marasciulo

Bully Ray discussing plans with the driver of the truck that Angle was sent off in. Bully tells him to make him an offer he won't refuse.

TNA Knockouts Champion Mickie James says that last week will be written in history. James says she raises the standard for the women in this industry and replays her concert in Nashville. James believes that it is all part of being the TNA Knockouts Champion.

Gail Kim comes out to confront James. Kim believes James is delusional and that the only performance the people were talking about was her win against Taryn Terrell in a ladder match.

James says that the match was solid, but she believes she gave a five-stat performance. James attempts to slap her in the face, but Gail Kim ducks and cracks her with a slap of her own. The ladies fight and brawl around the ring before officials separate the two.

Austin Aries with Chris Sabin. Aries says that Sabin has proven that he has upped his game in the path that Aries blazed for opportunities like this. Aries says that Sabin can complete this tonight and that he is pulling for him tonight.

AJ Styles discussing his matchup with Jeff Hardy next week, seeming confident that he will add some points to his total in the Bound for Glory Series.

Jeremy Borash introduces us to the main event participants.

Match Five for the TNA World Heavyweight Championship: Bully Ray (c) vs. Chris Sabin

The two men exchange trash talk before the match. Bully Ray walks Chris Sabin down in the corner and Sabin returns the favor. A shove and the bell rings.

Sabin walks Bully down, but Bully gets between the ropes to hide. The referee forced to press Sabin back, allowing Bully to step in and sweep his leg. Bully dragging Sabin down by his leg, then stepping on his throat. Sabin kicks Bully away and lands a few body kicks. Bully catches one and unloads a chop to the chest. Sabin undaunted and he throws another kick, only to receive an even harder chop. Sabin again with a kick and Bully again chops the chest, now welting from the strikes. The exchange continues before Sabin ducks a chop and gets a few of his own. Kicks, forearms, and everything but the kitchen sink thrown by Sabin. Sabin mounts Bully in the corner and lands punch after punch. Bully catches a kick and sweeps the leg, dropping the elbow on the knee.

Sabin moves to the ramp in pain and Aces & Eights make their way down the ramp. Main Event Mafia soon follows to ensure even odds. The two groups bucking at each other as we break.

We return with Chris Sabin having his knee driven into the ramp. Sabin tossed inside and Bully taunts Rampage. Kick to the injured knee of Sabin, focusing on the damaged ACLs of the smaller man. Bully locks in a knee bar and heel kicks the kidneys of Sabin. The boots of Sabin are being untied by Bully, ripping off the knee pad to expose the knee. Sabin up with a flurry of forearms that is violently stopped by a clothesline. Bully continues to work on the knee brace and again drives the weak point into the mat. Forearm sweep of the leg leads to a DDT on the foot of the right leg.

Rampage again being taunted by Bully. Sabin up and unloading forearms, but Sabin again knocked down by the bigger Bully. The signature Hogan taunts by Bully leads to another elbow drop to the right knee. Sabin with a feeble kick to keep Bully away, which just leads to his leg being slammed into the mat again. Monster chop to the chest of the downed Sabin. Bully drags Sabin into the corner and strikes him down. Whip from Bully leads to Sabin just keeling over. Sabin cornered again, but he gets the boot up to wobble Bully. Forearms and Sabin goes up top. Bully smacks the ropes down and hits a superplex for a nearfall.

Bully a bit frustrated, but he sets up the Bully Bomb. Sabin rolls out and hits an enzuigiri to the back of the head. Sabin up top and he nails a missile dropkick that sends Bully flying into referee Brian Hebner. All three down in the ring.

Mr. Anderson hands Bully a hammer and the powered keg that was outside the ring now explodes. Aces & Eights and The Main Event Mafia going after each other and all men clear the ring.

Bully maintains a hold on the hammer and looks to catch Sabin with it. Sabin with a spinning back kick to the stomach of Bully. Sabin gets a hold of the hammer. Bully clubs him down and picks him up for a powerbomb. Referee Brian Hebner slowly coming to, but Sabin nails Bully in the head with the hammer. Bully out cold and Sabin hooks a leg.

Winner by pinfall and new TNA World Heavyweight Champion: Chris Sabin

New TNA World Heavyweight Champion Chris Sabin walks around the ring and climbs the turnbuckle in celebration. Bully Ray knocked out and Sabin celebrating closes the show.
