Smackdown!: Vickie in; Teddy, Booker out

Will Smackdown be subject to the General Manager shake up that hit RAW the other week? Well, Teddy Long is getting a performance review tonight in Providence, Rhode Island, so signs are pointing to yes. Even though he has just been filling in for Booker T, I guess can still be removed from power.

Teddy Long kicks off the show in the ring, addressing the changes on RAW and tells the crowd that Vince is in the building. The crowd thinks Teddy is doing a good job and wants him to take over full time. Booker T may have something to say about it, as he makes his return to Smackdown! Booker thanks Teddy for filling him and now the crowd wants Booker T back in charge.

Vince McMahon makes his way from the back to settle the power struggle. Vince asks Teddy to make a match for tonight and Teddy throws out an Intercontinental Title match between Curtis Axel and Chris Jericho. Booker T counters with Alberto Del Rio versus Randy Orton. New RAW GM Brad Maddox drops in to have a word with Vince. Maddox also wants to be GM of Smackdown and announces the RVD will make his return to Smackdown, tonight. Vince has made his decision and the GM of Smackdown is Vickie Guerrero. WHAT?!? Why did Vince just punch the WWE Universe in the gut?

Vickie thanks Vince and then blames the fans for getting her fired from RAW. And she hates us.

Match #1 - Dolph Ziggler vs. Jack Swagger w/ Zeb Colter and Antonio Cesaro

Swagger knocks Swagger down with a forearm shot. Ziggler fights back, sending Swagger scurrying to the outside to regroup. Ziggler has had enough and goes after Swagger. Cesaro catches Ziggler with an uppercut. The ref tosses Colter and Cesaro from ringside. Swagger rolls Ziggler back into the ring, but Ziggler nearly gets the pin with a small package. Swagger counters in the Patriot lock. Ziggler breaks the hold and is able to hit the Zig Zag out of nowhere, as AJ and Big E watch from the back. Ziggler covers and gets the win.

Winner via pinfall: Dolph Ziggler

After the match, Ziggler says he sorry for dumping AJ. He's sorry he didn't so it sooner. OH, SNAP! Backstage, AJ doesn't react to that zinger well. Big E tries to calm her down with a kiss on the forehead. Now AJ is confused.

Match #2 Seth Rollins and Roman Reigns vs. The Usos

The Usos hit the ring before the bell and start a brawl. Dean Ambrose jumps in, but Mark Henry runs down to even the score. Henry takes out all three members of The Shield, allowing the Usos to regroup. The Shield high tail it out of the ring and exit through the crowd.

No Contest

Match #3 Daniel Bryan vs. Wade Barrett

In case you missed in on Monday, Bryan is the hand-picked number one contender by John Cena. Bryan and Barrett lock up and Bryan unloads with a series of punches. Barrett catches Bryan on a cross body and nails a back breaker. Bryan unloads with kicks in the corner and is able to apply the Yes Lock. Barrett taps.

Winner via count out: Daniel Bryan

Backstage, Brad Maddox congratulates Vickie on her new job. Vickie slaps him across the face.

Miz TV

Miz welcomes Paul Heyman to the ring. Miz tells Heyman he has nothing to asks him and turns the microphone over to him. Heyman builds up Lesnar who is coming for CM Punk. Heyman says this is painful because he still cares about Punk, and make a plea for Punk to stay down and leave the WWE. And if he shows his face in the WWE again, Lesnar will deal with him. Miz is disgusted with the liar that is Paul Heyman and walks off the set. Before Miz can make it to the back, Heyman calls out Curtis Axel, who beat Miz at Money in the Bank. Miz just stares him down.

Match #4 Curtis Axel vs. Chris Jericho - Intercontinental Title Match

Jericho sends Axel to the floor and then drop kicks him off the apron. Jericho catches Axel with an elbow off the top rope, but can only get a two count. Jericho chops away at Axel and follows with a Northern Light suplex. Axel kicks out at two. The IC champ knocks Jericho down with a clubbing blow to the back of the head. Axel blocks the Code Breaker, but cannot get the pin and we go to commercial.

After the break, Jericho is driven shoulder first into the ring post. Axel slams Jericho to the mat but then misses the fist drop off the turnbuckle. Jericho connects with an enziguri, but Axel kicks out of the pin. The champ counters a bulldog and answers with a swinging neck breaker. Axel misses a dropkick and Jericho hits the Lionsault. Axel kicks out at two. Jericho counters a Perfectplex into the Walls, but Heyman distracts Jericho, who breaks the hold. Jericho kicks out of a roll up and locks in the Walls again. Axel tries to drag Jericho to the ropes and gets there to break the hold. Jericho launches himself over the top rope to tale out Axel. Another Heyman distraction allows Axel to kick Jericho in the head and hit a swinging face buster. Axel covers to the win.

Winner via pinfall: Curtis Axel

After the match, Ryback hit the ring and destroyed Jericho.

The new Mr. Money in the Back (World Heavyweight Title) Damien Sandow is in the ring. Sandow tells the crowd that he did nothing wrong when he stopped his friend Cody Rhodes from winning MitB. Sandow is disappointed the Cody attacked him on Monday, but he will forgive him because he is enlightened. Sandow asks Cody to come out and explain himself. Sandow tells Cody he forgives him for his attack. Sandow offers Cody to become protector of the case. Cody takes the case and clocks Sandow with it. Rhodes unloads on Sandow, who retreats from the ring and heads to the back.

Match #5 RVD vs. Darren Young w/ Titus O'Neil

RVD gets the pin after hitting the Five Star Frog Splash.

Winner via pinfall: RVD

Vickie had Teddy Long thrown out of the building.

Match #6 Alberto Del Rio vs. Randy Orton - Non-Title Match

Orton drives Del Rio into the corner and follows with a drop kick. Del Rio tosses Orton shoulder first into the ring post. Del Rio continues to work over the arm of Orton with submission holds. Del Rio kicks Orton in the shoulder and works him over on the mat. The fights spills to the outside. Orton drops Del Rio on the security barrier, but then gets driven into the ring steps. Del Rio rolls Orton into the ring and goes to the top rope. Orton catches Del Rio with a drop kick. Del Rio holds himself up on the ropes and is able to lock Orton in the cross arm breaker. Orton gets to the ropes quickly to break the hold. Orton responds with a back breaker. Del Rio counters the DDT and catches Orton with an enziguri on the apron. Del Rio taunts Orton and goes for an RKO. Orton counters with power slam and is able to hit the elevated DDT. Orton is fired up, looking for the RKO. Del Rio counters the RKO with a back stabber. Orton rolls through a cross arm breaker and answers with an RKO. Orton covers for the win.

Winner via pinfall: Randy Orton
