Smackdown!: One last tune up before Money in the Bank
By DALE PLUMMER -- SLAM! Wrestling

Money in the Bank is on Sunday, but there is one big question; Will Kane be able to compete in the Ladder Match after the beat down at the hands of the Wyatt family? And if not, who if anyone will replace him? Michael Cole and JBL call the action from Hampton, Virginia.

There's no messing around tonight as Smackdown! gets right down to business with the first match.

Match #1 - Daniel Bryan vs. Christian

And so kicks of our first match of guys facing each other in the MitB Ladder Match. Bryan kicks Christian in the ribs and stomps him on the mat. Christian fights back, planting Bryan with a spine buster and follows with a flying back elbow. Bryan is dropped over the top rope to the floor, but dodges Christian's baseball slide and then catches him with a running knee off the apron. And we go to break.

After the break, Bryan kicks out of a pin. Christian kicks Bryan in the back. Bryan sends Christian to the outside, but gets decked diving through the ropes. Both men fall to the floor, and Bryan kicks Christian into the ring steps. Both men make their way back into the ring and Christian gets a near fall off a sunset flip. Bryan dodge a cross body off the top, but then misses a flying head butt as Christian rolls away. Bryan blocks a DDT attempt, but cannot counter a neck breaker. Bryan does block a spear, though with a kick to the head and follows with a drop kick in the corner. Christian answers with a spear, but Bryan kicks out of the pin. Christian sets up the Kill Switch, but Bryan counters in to the LeBell Lock. Christian escapes before the hold can be locked in and climbs the turnbuckle. Bryan catches Christian flying off the top rope and is able to apply the LeBell Lock. Christian taps out.

Winner via submission: Daniel Bryan

Teddy Long gives Dolph Ziggler the night off so he won't interfere with Alberto Del Rio's match. Ziggler accuses Long of being buddies with Del Rio.

Match #2 Seth Rollins w/ Roman Reigns vs. Jey Uso w/ Jimmy Uso

Even The Shield can't raise the profile of the tag team division, since their title match is the on the pre-show on the Sunday. Rollins picks up the win with some help from his partner.

Winner via pinfall: Seth Rollins

Match #3 Chris Jericho vs. Curtis Axel w/ Paul Heyman

Axel wastes little time beating Jericho into the corner. Jericho fights back, but is cut down. Axel keeps the pressure on with boots to the head. Jericho leaps in the corner, causing Axel to crash shoulder first into the ring post. Axel counters a Codebreaker, dropping Jericho onto the turnbuckle. We then go to commercial.

After the break, Axel drops a fist from the middle turnbuckle and covers Jericho. Y2J easily kicks outs. Jericho builds up momentum and gets a near fall off a suplex. Axel tosses Jericho aside as he attempted to lock in the Walls. Jericho goes high risk and it pays off with cross body into a lateral press, but Axel kicks out at two. Jericho misses a Lionsault, but lands on his feet. Axel hits a neck breaker off the ropes, but can't get the pin. Jericho floats over Axel, but has the Walls countered into a small package. Jericho kicks out and answers with an enziguri. Axel is dropped over the top rope to the floor, but is able to take Jericho out with a huge clothesline. Jericho is rolled into the ring, but is able to catch Axel with a Codebreaker on the apron. Axel falls to the floor. Heyman tries to help his client, but Axel can't get back in the ring and is counted out.

Winner via count out: Chris Jericho

After the bell, Axel flips out at ringside.

Match #4 The Miz vs. Ryback

Ryback slams Miz to the mat and follows with a leg drop. Ryback keeps the pressure on, literally, by stepping on Miz's head. Miz slows Ryback with a chop block, by then runs into the big man. Ryback slams Miz's head into the mat. Ryback slams Miz again, but Miz gets his knees up to block a splash. Miz takes Ryback down with a low drop kick and follows with a high knee. Miz catches Ryback with a flying clothesline in the corner and looks to set up the figure four. Miz focuses on the injured knee of Ryback and the ref backs Miz off. Ryback says he's hurt, but it's just a play. He is able to sucker Miz in and hit the Meat Hook clothesline and Shellshock. Ryback covers and gets the pin, but does sell the leg injury after the bell.

Winner via pinfall: Ryback

Sheamus talks to Renee Young about his upcoming match with Randy Orton and the MitB ladder match. If you think Sheamus is getting the briefcase, I have some land in Florida to sell you.

What's worse than a WWE Diva's match? A WWE Diva's contract signing. Say what you will about TNA at least their women's division is, what's the word, watchable. And most of the Diva's roster is in the ring for this debacle. AJ says she is going to embarrass Kaitlyn worse than ever after she signs the contract. AJ keeps her promise, but revealing all the text messages the she sent to her "secret admirer". This is not what you would call "Good TV". Kaitlyn snaps, slaps Big E Langston and then spears AJ.

Match #5 Wade Barrett vs. Fandango w/ Summer Rae

Zeb Colter, flanked by Jack Swagger and Antonio Cesaro, joins the announce table. Barrett knocks Fandango to the mat, while Colter runs his mouth. The Rhodes Scholars make their way to the ring to confront Zeb's crew. The distraction allows Fandango to roll up Barrett and get the win.

Winner via pinfall: Fandango

Michael Cole reports that WWE doctors have not given Kane clearance to wrestle on Sunday, so he is out of the MitB ladder match.

Match #6 Alberto Del Rio vs. Sin Cara

I haven't seen Sin Cara in a month, but he looks bigger. And he has a chip on his shoulder, jumping him before the bell. Sin Cara, steals a move from Dolph Ziggler, hitting a Zig Zag on Del Rio. JBL is convinced it's Ziggler, but I'm not so sure.

No Contest

Vicki Guerrero crashes the show, screaming that Teddy Long should be fired and she wants some respect. Long walks outs to confront her and calls security, who escort her out of the building. Cole does point out that even though she has a ticket, she's not allowed to jump the security barrier.

Teddy Long catches up with Sin Cara backstage and Long thinks it's Dolph, until Ziggler actually shows up. He left his cell phone in the locker room. Ziggler congratulates Sin Cara and doing great job.

Match #7 Sheamus vs. Randy Orton

Sheamus forces Orton into the corner and goes to work on him. Orton turns the tables by raking the eyes. Sheamus answers with a snap suplex and Orton quickly kicks out of the pin. Orton runs into a body slam but then tosses Sheamus out of the ring. Orton follows to the floor and is driven into the announce table. Sheamus stops short of the ring steps, but turn into a clothesline from Orton. We go to break.

After the commercials, Orton has Sheamus in a chin lock. The Irishman breaks free, but Orton nails him with a drop kick. Sheamus answers with a double axe handle, but runs into a clothesline. Orton follows with a power slam. Sheamus catches Orton with the Irish Curse Backbreaker. Orton fights his way off Orton's shoulders and knocks Sheamus to the mat. Sheamus counters the elevated DDT and then chops Orton across the chest on the apron. Sheamus hits the rolling senton and looks for the Brogue Kick. Orton ducks it, but runs into an elbow. Orton hits the elevated DDT and looks for the RKO. Sheamus blocks it and rolls to the apron. Sheamus climbs the turnbuckle, but is cut down by Orton. Sheamus and Orton fight atop the turnbuckle and tumble to the floor. Daniel Bryan runs down and grabs a ladder from under the ring. He takes out Sheamus and Orton with the ladder and the ref calls for the bell. Bryan sets up the ladder to get the briefcase, but Sheamus catches him and knocks him from the ring. Sheamus starts to climb the ladder, when he is attacked my Christian. Sheamus prevents him from grabbing the case. Christian meets him at the top of the ladder and send him to the floor. Bryan tips the ladder over, sending Christian to the floor. Orton catches Bryan, though, and hits him with an RKO. Orton climbs the ladder and symbolically grabs the case. (Just and hint: Orton isn't winning on Sunday.)
