TNA Impact: New X Division Champion crowned

TNA X Division Champion Chris Sabin hasn't had an easy road to winning the strap. After recovering from severe injuries to his knees, Sabin has become the definition of a fighting champion. Tonight on TNA Impact, Sabin puts his gold on the line against Kenny King and the enigmatic Suicide. All of that and more on this week's edition of TNA Impact!

Recap of all the latest events in TNA.

We are on tape from Peoria, Ill. Mike Tenay and Taz have the call for this week.

Sting makes his way out to the Main Event Mafia theme. Sting tells TNA World Heavyweight Champion Bully Ray that the Main Event Mafia would rise and grow. Sting introduces Kurt Angle.

Kurt Angle makes his way down to the ring. Angle says that we are looking at two originals who fought for power and for the TNA World Heavyweight Championship. Angle says that the group that is now in power is none other than Aces & Eights. Noting that Sting and himself have been screwed over by Aces & Eights, Angle promises to destroy Aces & Eights and cost Bully Ray his title. The Main Event Mafia will grow stronger with one more member tonight.

Mike Tenay and Taz preview the rest of the show.

TNA X Division Championship package hypes the match tonight.

TNA X Division Champion Chris Sabin making his way backstage. Aces & Eights lurk in the storage container of a truck. Mr. Anderson and D.O.C. grab Sabin and TNA World Heavyweight Champion Bully Ray gives Sabin a warning to not cash in his belt for a shot at him if he wins.

TNA Gut Check preview shows "The Big O" Adam Ohriner, famous for his appearances with Zack Ryder on Z! True Long Island Story.

Match One for the TNA X Division Championship: Chris Sabin (c) vs. Suicide vs. Kenny King

Kenny King controls the match to start, landing strikes on Suicide and Chris Sabin. King heads up top, but he lands on a double dropkick from both Suicide and Sabin. Suicide and Sabin lockup. Chain wrestling leads to Suicide being tossed to the corner. Float over to the apron by Suicide. King from behind with a dropkick to Sabin that sends Suicide to the floor and gets a nearfall.

King stomping Sabin. Inverted atomic drop leads to an enzuigiri that drops Sabin. Suicide up top for a sneak attack and he lands a missile dropkick. King sent to the floor. Suicide hits a flip dive on King. Sabin with a baseball slide kick and a crossbody that floors both men as we break.

We return with King and Sabin inside. Suicide comes in, but Sabin drop toeholds him into the corner. King in the tree of woe on top of the seated Suicide. Running dropkick sandwiches the two together. King is tumbled from the top and Sabin gets a nearfall.

King up on Sabin's shoulders, but Suicide with a shot to Sabin. Neck crank locked in on Sabin and Suicide uses it to drive Sabin into the turnbuckle for a nearfall. Suicide going up top again, but King shakes the top rope and crotches him. King looking for a superplex, but Sabin shakes him down. Sabin up top now and King clubbing his back. King positions himself under Sabin and nails a powerbomb as Sabin suplexes Suicide. King with a pair of nearfalls.

King has Sabin up, but he wiggles free. Suicide dropped to the floor yet again. Enzuigiri clips King. Hail Sabin lands. Suicide with a dropkick to the back to break the pin. Suicide stalking King, but King fights out of the underhook locks. King with an enzuigiri to Suicide. Suicide floats over after being sent into the corner. Spinning back kick to the stomach and a rollup get Suicide a nearfall.

Jawbreaker from King and a kick. Suicide up for the Royal Flush, but he tilts out of it and stacks Kings. Suicide holding a handful of ropes.

Winner by pinfall and new TNA X Dicision Champion: Suicide

Chris Sabin and Kenny King both frustrated post-match as the men leave.

Hulk Hogan makes his way out to the ring.with an injured man at his side. Hogan reveals the injured man to be TJ Perkins, who portrays Suicide normally. Tonight, he was unable to because he was blindsided. Hogan wants to know who is under the mask.

Suicide escapes through the crowd and confusion reigns as we head to break.

Hogan gives whoever is under the mask the rest of the night to reveal themselves.

TNA Gut Check preview shows Ryan Howe.

Jeremy Borash introduces our Gut Check competitors for tonight.

Match Two: Ryan Howe vs. Adam Ohriner

Lockup and Adam Ohriner muscles Ryan Howe into the corner. Hip toss easily from Ohriner. Howe tries a rollup, but Ohriner rolls out before a nearfall can occur. Go-behind from Ohriner into a takedown for a nearfall.

Kick to the stomach and a huge whip into the corner from Ohriner. Howe is picked up and a huge running powerslam from Ohriner gets a nearfall. Ohriner striking away. Howe with a shoulder to the stomach and a crossbody out of the corner for a nearfall.

Howe sent off the ropes and Ohriner turns him inside out with a lariat for a nearfall. Howe put into the corner and repeated shoulder blocks from Ohriner. Splash misses from Ohriner and Howe on the offensive with forearms. Corkscrew forearm and a series of dropkicks for a nearfall by Howe.

Uppercut and slap from Howe. Howe again off the ropes, but he runs right into a Ohriner powerslam.

Winner by pinfall: Adam Ohriner

Sting and Kurt Angle head to meet up with what could be the third member of the Main Event Mafia.

TJ Perkins seated in the locker room. Bully Ray comes in and tells him that he believes he is a great wrestler. Bully asks if Kurt Angle and Sting put him up to this tonight. Perkins has no idea what Bully is talking about. Bully looking stressed as he tries to figure out what is going on with the Main Event Mafia.

Video package recaps the feud between TNA Knockouts Champion Mickie James and Velvet Sky.

Prior to the matchup, TNA Knockouts Champion Mickie James laments how the competitive nature of this title changes people and says that she doesn't want to see Velvet Sky get hurt and tells her to walk away.

Match Three for the TNA Knockouts Championship: Mickie James (c) vs. Velvet Sky

Velvet Sky opens up with a spear. Mickie James getting up-close and personal with the mat and the turnbuckles. Shoulder rams in the corner by Sky. Sky is backed off by referee ODB, which allows James to turn the tables and work Sky in the corner. James gets the same treatment and Sky uses this to land a legsweep for a nearfall.

Mickie James rolls outside to regroup. Sky takes chase and James capitalizes by slamming the knee of Sky on the apron. Nearfalls from James. Snapmare and kick from James gets another nearfall.

James locking in a kneebar of sorts. Sky uses this to rollup James for a nearfall, but her knee is giving her trouble. James takes over by working Sky in the corner with shoulder blocks. Sky attempts to fight back with a mule kick, but James catches it and works the knee again. Sky striking James, then lands a series of clotheslines. Bulldog converts, but only gets a nearfall.

Sky still in control with strikes. James sent off the ropes, but she locks them to head outside. James looking to regroup, but Sky takes chase and hits a headscissors takeover. Spear allows Sky to rain down punches. James tossed into the ring and she kicks the knee of Sky. DDT connects, but Sky manages to kick out.

James stalking and again looks for the DDT. Sky loops out and hits a head kick. Off the ropes, Sky connects with a neckbreaker for a nearfall. Sky looking for a powerbomb, but James shoves her off into the corner. Sky is put on the mat and James locks in an Indian Deathlock.

Winner by pinfall and still TNA Knockouts Champion: Mickie James

Christy Hemme with Velvet Sky after the match. Sky is crying and she manages to blurt out that she is heartbroken in between sobs.

Review of all of tonight's events.

Sting and Kurt Angle are seen standing around backstage. Bobby Roode walks through and everyone exchanges an awkward smile.

Hulk Hogan talking with a referee, asking about Suicide. Hogan informs the referee to find Suicide before the night ends or his belt will be stripped.

Bound for Glory Series Match Four: Magnus vs. Bobby Roode

Lockup begins the match, but leads to a stalemate. Bobby Roode gets the arm wrench on the next lockup. Magnus reverses into one of his own. Roode ducks behind for a takedown and a headlock. Magnus reverses into a hammerlock. Roode with the side headlock. Shoulder bump from Roode. Roode off the ropes one too many times and a high knee from Magnus gets a nearfall.

Roode moves outside to avoid the Texas Cloverleaf. Roode waits patiently to drag Magnus out. The two exchange blows and Magnus gets the better of it. Roode's head is bounced off the apron.

Back inside, Roode stomps Magnus down as he reenters. Huge chop to the chest downs Magnus. Roode catapults Magnus in between the ropes. Roode heads outside and rams the head of Magnus into the apron. Back inside, Roode earns a nearfall with the swinging neckbreaker.

Sleeper locked in by Roode. Magnus fighting out with body blows. The men go punch-for-punch and Magnus wins it with a side suplex. Clotheslines for Magnus connect, followed up by his running lariat. Roode kicks Magnus away in the corner and heads up top. Death Valley Driver from Magnus connects and he heads up top. Roode meets him , but he is sent back down. Elbow drop from Magnus connects for as close a nearfall as you can get.

The two men exchanging in the corner and Roode gets the spinebuster. Fisherman's suplex is blocked and the Mag Daddy Driver lands.

Winner by pinfall: Magnus

Aces & Eights break into the locker room of Chavo Guerrero, Robbie E, and Jessie Godderz. The group wants to find out if any of them are Suicide. All of them deny it and Bully Ray says they will be committing career suicide if they cross him.

TNA Tag Team Champions "Cowboy" James Storm and Gunner in the ring. Storm details how odd pairings often times make the best tag teams. Storm says that is how Gunner and him have gotten the belts.

Robbie E, Jessie Godderz, and Tara make their way to the ring. Robbie informs Gunner and Storm that himself and Godderz are the two toughest guys in the locker room. Robbie says Storm made a big mistake skipping over him. Robbie E declares the team as "The Bro Mans."

Storm pokes fun at the team, labeling them "Bromance." Godderz tells Storm to stop pretending he didn't hear them and shows off his girlfriend. Storm insults Tara and Godderz swings, but Gunner knocks him out. The Bro Mans step out.

Bound for Glory Series Match Five: Samoa Joe vs. Mr. Anderson

Lockup leads to a stalemate. Mr. Anderson works Samoa Joe into a corner and begins striking away. Joe fights back with chops and jabs, then begins to stomp Anderson down in the corner. Splash and enzuigiri from Joe earns a nearfall.

Anderson takes control and sends Joe out to the floor. Punt to the ribs of Joe is followed by ramming Joe into the apron. Back inside, Anderson grabs a nearfall. Armbar locked in for Anderson. Joe fighting out with forearms, but Anderson connects on a swinging neckbreaker for a nearfall.

Joe sent into the corner, but he reverses it. Atomic drop is followed by a big boot. Back splash connects for a nearfall. Joe about to put it on Anderson and Aces & Eights comes to the rescue. The wolves circle and this allows Anderson to plant Joe with a DDT. Joe barely gets the shoulder up.

Right hands from Anderson and he heads off the ropes. Powerslam connects. Main Event Mafia runs out to prevent Aces & Eights interfering in the match. They clean house. Anderson tries a Mic Check, but Joe grabs the ropes. Coquina Clutch locked in.

Winner by submission: Samoa Joe

After the match, Samoa Joe shakes hands and embraces with Sting and Kurt Angle. It appears that we have the third member of the Main Event Mafia in Samoa Joe.

Hulk Hogan looking to call Suicide out to the ring next.

The Main Event Mafia celebrate a bit backstage.

Hulk Hogan headed to the ring. Hogan says that tonight was about the X Division and it has devolved into a mystery. Hogan invites the person impersonating Suicide to join him in the ring.

Suicide hits the ring. Hogan says that he understands that this is a cutthroat game and he would have done the same, but the facade needs to end right here. Suicide declines to take his mask off.

Bully Ray makes his way through the crowd. Bully Ray wants to cut to the chase and tells Suicide to unmask right now. Suicide again declines. Bully says that he doesn't need to unmask, but all he wants is to let Suicide know to think twice about taking a shot at him. Bully gives an explicit warning and tells Suicide to leave.

Hogan cuts in and tells Suicide to unmask. Suicide with the microphone explains the road that lead him to this tough decision. Suicide knows that Bully likes to ask people who he is and he asks if he knows who he is. Suicide says that Bully should know because he is the man that has defeated him before and set the wheels in motion.

Suicide unmasks to reveal Austin Aries. Aries ends the show declaring that he will be taking another shot at Bully Ray.
