TNA Impact: The road to Bound for Glory begins

The Bound for Glory Series is one of the staples of TNA. Many men fight for their shot to climb to the mountaintop. Tonight on TNA Impact, the beginning of the Bound for Glory Series will start the long and winding road to Bound for Glory. Who will pick up points tonight? All of that and more on this week's edition of TNA Impact!
Show opens with a long shot of Sting entering the arena in a suit.

We are LIVE from Peoria, Ill. Mike Tenay and Taz have the call for this week.
Hulk Hogan makes his way out to the ramp to address the group of wrestlers in the ring and at ringside. Hogan thanks the crowd for joining them for the beginning of the Bound for Glory Series. Hogan says that the men in the ring have already qualified and he wants to introduce two more qualifiers that have automatic bids.
Bobby Roode is introduced first. Jeff Hardy is announced next. Hogan reiterates that tonight is the beginning of the series and each of the twelve men will have their first Bound for Glory match tonight because it is Open Fight Night. Hogan reviews the results of the poll that determined who gets the first call out.
Hardy has the first call out. Austin Aries grabs the microphone and tries to egg Hardy into calling him out. Christopher Daniels then takes the mic and tells Hardy that he shouldn't pick Bad Influence if he wants to earn a quick win. Hardy wants Bobby Roode and the two get into a shoving match that starts a brawl as we break.
Rules for the Bound for Glory Series are reviewed. Ten points for a submission, seven for a pinfall, five for a countout, two for either a draw or disqualification win, and a ten point deduction for a disqualification loss.
Mr. Anderson grabs a side headlock and plays around with Joseph Park, chain grappling him easily. Anderson offers up his head in a headlock, then fights out to a hammerlock and double-leg takedown. Anderson tells him to do it again and gets a hammerlock, but Park ducks behind to get one of his own and takes him down. Anderson up with a dropkick to the knee and working Park in the corner. Park whipped into the corner, but he moves out of the way of a splash and rolls up Anderson for a close nearfall.
The swinging neckbreaker from an overconfident Anderson gets the nearfall. Sleeper in for the more experienced Anderson. Park fights up, but Anderso nyanks him down and goes up top. Swanton misses and Park takes control. Strikes and a backdrop land. Anderson cornered, but he ducks a Park splash. Park on his shoulders, but he wiggles out and snatches a Boston Crab.
D.O.C. heads to ringside. The referee wants him gone and he takes a step back, which prompts Park to break the hold. Anderson rolls up Park and gets a close nearfall.
Park pushing Anderson down over and over. Scoop slam and Park heads up top. D.O.C. kicks Park down as the referee checks on Anderson. Park wobbled and Anderson furthers that with a Mic Check.
Winner by pinfall: Mr. Anderson
Aces & Eights meeting backstage. Anderson proud of his victory and states that he is ready to be VP of the group. D.O.C. isn't so sure and tells Anderson he was skating backwards until he saved him.
TNA World Heavyweight Champion Bully Ray admonishes the two for arguing, telling them that it will be left up to a vote soon and that they need to focus on the business at hand tonight involving Brooke Hogan.
Bound for Glory Series Match Two: Jay Bradley vs. Austin Aries
Jay Bradley attempts to charge Austin Aries, who slings him outside. Aries up top and comes down with an axhandle splash.
Inside, Aries with the swanton splash to the back of Bradley. Aries attempting the Last Chancery, but Bradley puts him on the apron. Hangman's neckbreaker by Aries and he heads up top. Bradley meets him with a big boot that sends him outside. Aries hip tossed in and a knee drop gets Bradley a nearfall.
Bradley keeping the more mobile Aries grounded with multiple elbow drops for a nearfall. Aries in the corner and Bradley strikes away. Hip toss sends Aries flying across the ring. Aries cornered, but he ducks the big boot and Bradley is tied up. Aries unloading leg kicks to the thigh of Bradley. Bradley being worked over in the corner. Aries up top with a missile dropkick. Bradley cornered, but Aries runs into a boot. Bradley attempts the Boom Stick, but Aries ducks with a discus forearm. Bradley puts him down, but Boom Stick gets countered with a crucifix slam. Brainbuster connects.
Winner by pinfall: Austin Aries
Recap of Sting announcing the reformation of the Main Event Mafia.
Backstage, Sting says that he is having a meeting that will ensure that the Mafia grows tonight.
Sting seen talking in the shadows. Sting says that a family is stronger than a brotherhood and offers the anonymous figure a spot in the Main Event Mafia. The deal is sealed with a handshake.

Bound for Glory Series Match Three: Hernandez vs. Christopher Daniels
Christopher Daniels with a dropkick to the knee to start. Hernandez cornered and Daniels starts to go to work. Hernandez pushes him away and hits a huge splash in the corner. Daniels thrown from a choke. Daniels back up raking the eyes and a kick, but Hernandez presses him into the air and lets him drop. Multiple shoulder bumps from Hernandez. Daniels dropped in the ring.
Hernandez to the ramp and Air Mexico is in service with the battering ram. Daniels with a punch once he rises, but Hernandez takes him up for a powerbomb. Daniels flips out and grabs the ropes. Hernandez tries to grab him away, but Daniels with a low blow as the referee is attempting to break his grip on the ropes. Daniels hits the Best Moonsault Ever.

Bound for Glory Series Match Four: Kazarian vs. Magnus
Magnus taking it to Kazarian with strikes. Kazarian hooks the ropes and is clotheslined to the floor.
Kazarian takes advantage of Magnus chasing him with a few shots and rams him into the ring apron. Inside, Kazarian with an arm wrench and a few kicks. Elbow drop gets a nearfall. Neck crank in and Magnus fighting out with body shots. Knee and neckbreaker grab Kaz a nearfall.
Dragon Sleeper in for Kaz, but Magnus out with a huge knee. Series of clotheslines followed by the running lariat for Magnus. Kazarian tries a springboard crossbody, but Magnus catches him and hits a driver for a nearfall.
Kazarian cornered and Magnus charges. Magnus meets the corner in a bad way and Kaz heads up top. Missile dropkick shucked off by Magnus and Texas Cloverleaf is locked in.
Winner by submission: Magnus
Hulk Hogan talking on the phone backstage. Bully Ray walks up with a hammer. Hogan ends the call to shove Bully up against the wall and invites him to take his best shot. Bully says he isn't the kind of guy to hit someone with a hammer and asks to speak to Brooke Hogan. Hogan says the two are done and Bully tells his "dad" that Brooke wouldn't have saved him last week if that was the case.
Brooke Hogan heads to the ring. Hogan says that she is proud of the Knockouts lately and that they have done a great job. However, there are some problems she needs to discuss and invites all the Knockouts out.
TNA Knockouts Champion Mickie James needs a special introduction and she gets. James says that she is so proud to represent the Knockouts and carry the whole division on her shoulders.
Brooke Hogan says she will get to James in a few minutes. First, she addresses TNA Knockouts Tag Team Champion Eric Young is asked if he remembers the discussion himself and Hogan had about a year ago. Young acknowledges that he is actually not a woman and surrenders the title belts.
Next order of business, Brooke Hogan addresses Velvet Sky and informs her that she will be getting a rematch. James says Sky is still hurt, but Hogan assures her that she spoke to Sky's doctor and that will go down.
Gail Kim wants a rematch and Hogan says that she will grant her one. In Las Vegas, Gail Kim will take on Taryn Terrell in a ladder match.
Hulk Hogan backstage and he thanks Brooke for the great job. Hulk asks her to leave to avoid any drama with Bully Ray.
Bound for Glory Series Match Five: Samoa Joe vs. AJ Styles
Samoa Joe and AJ Styles open up with leg kicks and strikes. Joe lands jabs and starts striking Styles over and over in the corner. Styles ducks out and lands some chops, working it into a side headlock. Joe trying to roll out, but Styles latching the hold. Joe finally gets out with headscissors around the neck. Joe with a shoulder bump, but he misses the boot and gets tied in the ropes. Styles starting to unload strikes in the corner. Joe reverses a whip into the corner and runs into the boots of Styles. Side suplex and roundhouse kicks from Styes. Joe up with strikes and Styles put on the apron. Enzuigiri kick puts Styles outside.
Joe looking to hit a suicide dive on Styles, but Styles runs inside as Joe flies. Joe lands on his feet and Styles looking for a flying attack, but Joe moves. Styles lands on the apron and Joe with a roundhouse kick to the knee cap that causes Styles to fall and smack his head on the apron as we break.
We return with Samoa Joe landing a double knee drop on Styles for a nearfall. Back elbow thwarts a Styles momentum swing. Headbutts and punches from Joe. Joe hits the ropes, but catches a hard dropkick.
Joe heads outside and Styles hits a baseball slide kick. Christy Hemme announces that there are five minutes left. Joe back inside and Styles hits a springboard forearm from the apron for a nearfall.
Styles looking for a suplex, but Joe gets Styles up. Styles flips out and hits the ropes for a dropkick to the knee. Nearfall for Styles. Styles up top, but Joe ducks under his attack. Huge powerslam for a nearfall for Joe.
Cross armbreaker in for Joe. Styles looking to step over the head to save his arm, but he ends up getting the rope break. Styles put up top by Joe. Styles fights off the Musclebuster, but Joe gets up top for a superplex. Styles turns over on Joe and both men take some big damage from the move. The referee begins his count and both men up by eight. Styles looking for a strike combo, but Joe with a right cross. Styles rolls into a Calf Killer, but Joe gets the back for the Coqunia Clutch. Styles bridges into a pinfall attempt that Joe barely gets out of.
Both men striking each other and only thirty seconds remain. Joe presses Styles into the corner and unloads. The two engage in a grappling contest, but the time expires.
Styles nails Joe with a strike after the bell. Both men staring each other down as the referee gets the situation under control.
Bully Ray on the phone. Bully talking with Brooke Hogan and he wants to see her tonight to talk to her. He tells Brooke to turn the car around. Bully sends D.O.C., Knux, and Devon out to give a motorcycle escort to the car.
Hulk Hogan talks with TNA X Division Champion Chris Sabin, Kenny King, and Suicide. Hogan says that Sabin can put his title up for grabs to get a shot at Bully Ray if he wins at the Destination X special.
Bound for Glory Series Match Six: Bobby Roode vs. Jeff Hardy
Brawl starts on the ramp prior to the match starting.
Jeff Hardy in control as we start. Splash in the corner on Bobby Roode. Headscissors takeover into an atomic drop by Hardy. Roode locks in a crossface after rolling through. Hardy barely gets the rope break. Roode stomping Hardy and slingshots him into the ring ropes.
Hardy moves outside and Roode slams his head into the ring apron. Action back inside leads to a suplex from Roode. Knee drop to the chest of Hardy gets a nearfall.
Roode working Hardy in the corner with strikes to the body. Hardy sent hard into the corner and Roode follows up with a splash. Roode working Hardy from pillar to post, but Hardy plays matador and lures Roode into a back elbow. Hardy up top and a splash lands for a nearfall.
Hardy with an atomic drop and leg drop to the groin area. Dropkick to the head earns Hardy a nearfall. Kick to the stomach almost gets a Twist of Fate, but Roode sends him off the ropes for a huge spinebuster. Nearfall for Roode. Fisherman's suplex gets countered into a Twist of Fate. Hardy up top for the Swanton Bomb, but Roode moves out of the way. Crossface applied by Roode. Hardy rolls Roode over, but only a nearfall.
Roode once again isolates the arm of Hardy. Hardy rolls through on the armlock and gets to his feet. Kick to the stomach leads to a surprise Twist of Fate on Roode.
Winner by pinfall: Jeff Hardy
Both Sting and Bully Ray will have something to say next.
TNA World Heavyweight Champion Bully Ray enters. Bully Ray says that he wants to smarten up all of the Bound for Glory Series competitors. Bully promises that he will do whatever it takes to maintain his title. Bully gives warning that no one should want to face him.
For his next order of business, Bully Ray wants to call someone out for Open Fight Night. However, he says that he is "a lover, not a fighter" and wants to invite Brooke Hogan out.
Main Event Mafia's music hits. Sting makes his way out to the ring. Sting realizes that no lone wolf could take on Aces & Eights and he went back to his family. Bully says no one cares about family and he beat Sting all by himself. Sting says he knows he will never have a shot at the belt, but he can get retribution tonight.
Sting heads to the corner and starts dressing down. Bully Ray says that he can have his family come out with the snap of his fingers. Bully calls for Aces & Eights and Sting keeps undressing for a fight.
Aces & Eights are shown backstage. The group has been laid out. Sting levels Bully with a punch and Bully runs away up the ramp. Kurt Angle meets him there and locks in the Ankle Lock. Sting and Kurt Angle are back together as we fade to black.
