TNA Impact: Bully meets Hardy, Rampage debuts

TNA President Dixie Carter has teased a big free agent signing over the past few days. Tonight on TNA Impact, we get to meet the newest member of the roster, former UFC Light Heavyweight Champion Quinton "Rampage" Jackson. Additionally, Bully Ray and Hardy meet in a pivotal match up in the main event. All of that and more on this week's edition of TNA Impact.

Recap of TNA Slammiversary.

We are LIVE from Atlanta, Ga. Mike Tenay and Taz have the call for this week.

TNA World Heavyweight Champion Bully Ray makes his way to the ring. Bully Ray says the crowd must be happy to see him. He introduces himself to a chorus of boos. Bully remarks that Slammiversary hasn't been too kind kind to Sting historically and that this Sunday was no different. According to Bully Ray, there are no more heroes in TNA and he wants a spot in the TNA Hall of Fame. Bully calls for Dixie Carter.

He doesn't get her as Hulk Hogan makes his way down to the ring. Hogan says he believes they are in Hulkamania country tonight. He gives Bully some credit for his win on Sunday, despite him not doing it single-handed as he claims. Hogan says that he has competition lined up for Bully and announces that Bully Ray will be putting his belt on the line against Jeff Hardy. However, for this week, Hogan won't put the belt on the line and wants to make Jeff Hardy feel at home.

It is a ladder match.

Hogan says that there will be something on the line tonight and he says that there will be a hammer hanging from the top and whoever grabs it first can use it.

TNA Bound for Glory video package hypes the event.

Hernandez and Chavo Guerrero backstage. Guerrero is frustrated over losing the belts and he tells Hernandez that both of them will be competing tonight for a spot in the Bound for Glory Series. Hernandez offers his hand to his partner. Guerrero walks off without the handshake.

Match One: Hernandez vs. Chavo Guerrero

Chain wrestling starts us off, but Hernandez muscles Chavo Guerrero off the ropes and hits a shoulder bump. Lockup again and Hernandez gets an arm wrench. Guerrero hits an arm drag. Lockup and Hernandez drives Guerrero into the corner. Guerrero out with uppercuts and Hernandez shoves him into the corner. Guerrero ducks a splash and hits a dropkick for a nearfall.

Armbar in for Guerrero, but Hernandez out with a scoop slam. Hernandez misses a splash and Guerrero lands a standing swanton for a nearfall. Guerrero triangling the arm in an armbar. Hernandez struggles up, but seats Guerrero up top. Guerrero jumps off, but Hernandez catches him with a huge slam. Guerrero getting tossed around now. Backbreaker from Hernandez gets a nearfall.

Hernandez still in control and attempts a battering ram, only to fall flat. Guerrero with two of the Three Amigos before Hernandez muscles out. Guerrero sends him into the corner and gets a koppo kick before heading up top. Frog Splash lands right on the knees of Hernandez. Border toss rolled into a sunset flip for Guerrero, but Hernandez rolls through with a rollup of his own.

Winner by pinfall: Hernandez

Devon hits the ring. Devon says that Abyss has his TNA Television Championship because Abyss earned it in an unsanctioned match. Joseph Park makes his way down the ramp. Park says that he was robbed Sunday and he is done being bullied. Park says he is going to do what Abyss should've done a long time ago.

Double-leg from Park and he shoulder bumps Devon around the ring. Devon comes out of the corner with a huge clothesline. Devon starts unloading on Park. Action spills outside and Park is sent into the ring post. Devon has a chair in hand.

Abyss' music hits. Devon waits and waits. Abyss doesn't come and Devon says he will find Abyss. One shot to Park on the outside before Devon leaves causes a little blood. Park sees this and he is in a trance as we break.

Robbie E makes his way out. Robbie E says he was the MVP of the Bound for Glory Series last year. He says the sky is the limit for him if he wins this qualifying match.

Match Two: Robbie E vs. Samoa Joe

Samoa Joe immediately lands a boot. Robbie E in the corner and Joe jabs him down and stomps him out. Joe punishing Robbie. Splash in the corner is followed up by an enzuigiri. Joe looking for the Musclebuster, but Robbie E rakes the eyes. He jumps off the top, but Joe just moves out of the way. Joe puts Robbie E down and drops a knee on the back. Musclebuster into the Coquina Clutch.

Winner by submission: Samoa Joe

TNA Knockouts Champion Mickie James meets with Velvet Sky in the locker room. James starts frustrating Sky and tells her that she is ready to give her a rematch when she's healthy, then leaves the room before an answer can be given.

Video package hypes the TNA Hall of Fame induction of Kurt Angle.

Jeremy Borash in the ring. He introduces Quinton "Rampage" Jackson. Jackson says that it is an honor to be here. He says that he wants to be the best in TNA now and he wants to beat the best.

Kurt Angle makes his way to the ring. Angle says that he is staring right at the best. He says when Jackson thinks he is ready, he is going to have to get through him.

Recap of the events from this evening lead to Jeff Hardy backstage. Hardy is ready to go tonight.

Bully Ray sharing a beer with Mr. Anderson. Bully wants to know where D'Lo Brown is and Anderson tells him that he took him out last week. Bully says getting rid of him was a good move and talks about the injustice that Hulk Hogan is placing on him by matching him up with Jeff Hardy tonight. Bully Ray also wants an Aces & Eights member in the Bound for Glory Series. Anderson asks if Bully Ray will need help tonight. Bully tells Anderson that a good vice president could make that call.

Match Three: Austin Aries, Bobby Roode, & Kenny King vs. James Storm. Gunner, & Chris Sabin

Match starts with Kenny King and Chris Sabin. King opens up with strikes. Arm wrench from King is flipped out of by Sabin into a series of arm drags. Armbar in for Sabin. King sends Sabin off the ropes and Sabin counters with a headscissors takeover. King punched by both Gunner and James Storm before he walks into the chop from Sabin.

Austin Aries and Bobby Roode take Sabin out from behind and all men inside the ring now. Aries and Roode get sent into back elbows that make them tumble to the arena floor. Sabin with a crossbody to take all the men out on the floor.

Back inside, Sabin is sent off the ropes, but he catches himself. King runs into the boots, but Aries from the apron with a handful of hair and a forearm to the chest.

Roode in with a body shot. Sabin sent into the corner and Roode with a punishing chop. Snap suplex and a knee drop from Roode earn him a nearfall on Sabin. Roode still in control. Sunset flip is rolled out of by Sabin.

James Storm tagged in and he comes in like a bat out of hell. Storm roughing up King and Aries before landing a hip toss on Roode. Inverted atomic drop and a huge right hand. Storm floats over to the apron on a cornered Roode and hits a kick to the head. Storm takes out King, but Aries rakes the eyes into a hangman's neckbreaker. Dropkick from Roode connects.

Aries brought in. Roode slingshots him into an Aries forearm. Storm across the knees of Roode and corkscrew elbow from Aries gets a nearfall. Aries working on keeping Storm grounded.

Roode in again with a punch to the ribs and he tags out to King. Scoop slam leads to a springboard leg drop for a nearfall. Aries in again and he sends Storm into the boot of Roode before tagging him in. The two attempt a double-team bodydrop, but Storm kicks Aries and sends him into the groin of Roode to take both out.

King and Gunner in. Clotheslines and headbutts galore. Aries cornered and King sent into him. Splash sandwiches both men. Slingshot suplex on King gets a nearfall. Gunner attacked by Roode and Aries, sending him to the corner. Aries charges, but he is bodydropped to the floor. Boot on Roode, but Roode hits a spinebuster. Storm takes Roode out with a neckbreaker. Aries up top and hits Storm with a missile dropkick.

Sabin now the legal man. He stops an Aries suicide dive with a spinning back kick to the gut and an enzuigiri followup. King tries to attack, but Sabin plants him with a tornado DDT. All Hail Sabin connects.

Winners by pinfall: James Storm, Gunner, and Chris Sabin

Brooke Hogan seen chatting with Taryn Terrell. Terrell asks if Hogan is still with Bully, which stifles the conversation.

Match Four: Mickie James vs. Taeler Hendrix

Lockup and Taeler Hendrix sent into the corner. Mickie James congratulating the younger competitor in a condescending fashion. Hendrix with an arm wrench. James counters into one of her own. Hendrix fights out with a fireman's carry. James again encouraging the claps from the crowd. Side headlock in for James. Hendrix out, but James with a shoulder block. Hendrix sneaks up and gets a nearfall.

James again shaking the hand and pretending to be impressed. James sends Hendrix into the ropes, but Hendrix with a spinning kick to the stomach. Hendrix up top, but James has apparently hurt he knee. She is begging referee ODB to stop the match. Hendrix comes up to check on her opponent and James counters with a huge haymaker. Spinning hook kick puts the lights out.

Winner by pinfall: Mickie James

Devon and Knux looking for Abyss. Knux has a shadowy figure show up behind him as Devon looks and Abyss soon takes him out. Abyss slams Devon into the brick wall and tells him that he is taking the belt with him.

Match Five: Bully Ray vs. Jeff Hardy

Bully Ray busy talking to Taz and Jeff Hardy with a crossbody to the outside to open up. Hardy with some clubs to the back.

Action moves inside and Hardy with forearms in the corner. Big splash from Hardy. Headscissors takeover sends Bully outside and Hardy follows with a baseball slide kick to send Bully into the announce table. Hardy on the apron and flying clothesline connects. Bully gets his head slammed off the steps. Hardy gets the ladder. Hardy inside, but he sees Bully coming to. Bully drags him out and slams his knee into the apron as we break.

We return with Bully Ray headbutting the chest of Hardy in the corner. Huge chop and Hardy is wilting. Splash sandwiches Hardy in the corner. Bully now working the leg. Hardy fighting back up, but Bully launches him into the air with a back bodydrop. Bully with the ladder in hand and he slams it on top of Hardy. Elbow drop and Bully just taunting his downed opponent. Hardy fighting up on his knees, but he runs right into a huge boot from Bully.

Bully now using the signature Hogan taunts. Bully setting up for a Bully Bomb, but Hardy turns out to land a DDT. Both men down. The two go punch for punch in the middle of the ring. Hardy gets the better and lands a clothesline. Atomic drop into a leg drop and dropkick combo from Hardy. Hardy on the ladder and climbing. Bully meets him and knocks the ladder down. Hardy with a twisting kick.

Bully down and out in the corner. Hardy sets the ladder down and dropkicks the top rung of it straight into the family jewels. Bully in pain in the corner. Both men struggling. Bully gets control. but Hardy with a jawbreaker. Hardy again climbing, but Bully pushes him down into corner. Bully runs into a back elbow and Hardy hits Whisper in the Wind.

Hardy heading up top and Bully just yanks the ladder away this time. Bully heads up and he gets the hammer. Hardy slowly coming to. Bully with the hammer, but Hardy ducks. Twist of Fate sends the hammer flying. Hardy now chasing Bully Ray around the ring, but Bully runs backstage to avoid a shot with the hammer.

Hardy takes chase, but his leg gives out halfway up the ramp.

No Contest

Referees assist Hardy, who still has the hammer in hand.

Bully Ray running around backstage, looking for his belt and trying to catch some air. He takes a knee and Hulk Hogan appears out of the darkness. Hogan has a hammer and is ready to strike. Brooke Hogan runs up and meets the two, screaming for this not to happen. Bully Ray and Hulk Hogan stare each other down and Bully takes the opportunity to run to end the show.
