Former wrestler Hulk Hogan has apologized for posting graphic pictures of his burned hand on Twitter.com on Sunday after his followers complained about the shocking snaps.

The 59 year old was hospitalized in Florida after a radiator exploded, leaving him with injuries to his hand and fingers.

Hogan documented his trip to the emergency room of Tampa General Hospital by posting several gory images of his swollen and scalded fingers on his Twitter account, but the snaps prompted a backlash from his fans.

The star returned to the website on Monday to say sorry for uploading the pictures.

"I apologize for posting my burned hand photos, with all the feedback I now realize I really should take a moment before I make a decision."
