TNA Impact: Styles makes up his mind

AJ Styles will be meeting Kurt Angle at TNA Slammiversary. The thing that is on the minds of wrestling fans everywhere is if Styles will be meeting Angle with an Aces & Eights jacket or not. Tonight on TNA Impact, AJ Styles is set to be patched into the gang. What will come of the ceremony? All that and more on this week's edition of TNA Impact!

Recap of all the recent events in TNA.

We are live from Tampa, Fla. Todd Keneley, Mike Tenay, and Taz have the call for this week.

Hulk Hogan is here to kick us off. Hogan is happy to be in his home state and says that he was out and about with Shark Boy prior to tonight's show. Everyone in the arena makes Hogan feel like family and they lost a member in AJ Styles, who has decided to join Aces & Eights. Hogan says one person has been through it all with him and invites him out.

Sting makes his way out. Hogan reiterates that he is in charge and can change the stipulation for Sting's Slammiversary matchup with TNA World Heavyweight Champion Bully Ray, but Sting doesn't want that. Sting needs this one chance and if he can't capitalize on it, he doesn't deserve another shot. Hogan again doesn't want Sting to go that far.

Brooke Hogan hits the ring. Brooke says that neither man in the ring should suffer for her mistake of marrying Bully Ray. Brooke says that she is serious in what she is about to say and wants to resign for all the chaos she was a part of. Hulk wants her to move on from Bully Ray and take care of business.

TNA World Heavyweight Champion Bully Ray is here. He asks why all of them are blaming themselves. Bully says it is his fault Hulk doesn't know how to run this company and that he stabbed Sting in the back. Bully claims to really run things in TNA. Bully does blame one person and says it is Btooke's fault for making him fall for her. Bully says he will always love Brooke and heads off.

Video package promotes the return of Suicide.

Match One: Joey Ryan vs. Petey Williams vs. Suicide

The winner of this bout will go to Slammiversary to challenge for the TNA X Division Championship in the Ultimate X matc

Suicide immediately takes Joey Ryan out. Suicide off the ropes and he gets an octopus stretch in on Petey Williams. Crucifix pin gets Suicide a nearfall.

Suicide sent into the corner, but he floats over into a headstand. Williams sends him to the apron, but Suicide with a springboard hurricanrana. Williams trips Suicide up on the second rope for a running dropkick. Ryan in with a pumphandle slam on Williams. Suicide up top and he lands a flying headscissors takeover on Ryan. Suicide has the Indian Deathlock in on Ryan and ducks Williams to get an abdominal stretch for dual submissions. Williams gets out and hits a legsweep on Suicide, which stretches Ryan even more. Canadian Destroyer misses and Suicide gets a spinning back kick. Joey Ryan sent out and Suicide matadors him.

Action moving outside for a bit as Suicide tries to attack Williams, but Williams hits a suicide dive on Ryan. Suicide then heads to the apron and knocks both men down with a flip dive.

Williams and Suicide fighting to get inside. Suicide drags Williams out after a jawbreaker and Ryan picks him up for a powerbomb. Suicide rolls through for a nearfall that is broken by Williams.

Suicide sent into the corner, but he fights out and gets the boots up on Williams. Williams gets Suicide down and goes for the Canadian Destroyer. Ryan boots him away. Ryan goes after the cornered Suicide, but gets a neckbreaker for his efforts. Tiger Breaker converts.

Winner by pinfall: Suicide

Chris Sabin meets up with "Cowboy" James Storm in the locker room. Sabin volunteers to be Storm's tag partner tonight. Storm says that Sabin has an opportunity at the X Division Championship and he'll have to turn down the favor. The two amicably agree to have have each other's back as they head out..

Brooke Hogan meets up with Bully Ray. Hogan wants to know what Bully meant and Bully tells him it means exactly what he said.

TNA Knockouts Champion Velvet Sky wrapping up her knee. Mickie James comes in and wants to see if Brooke Hogan will cancel tonight's match versus Sky to when she is healed. Sky thanks her, but wants to be a fighting champion.

Match Two: Sam Shaw vs. Alex Silva

Before the match starts, Wes Brisco, Garrett Bischoff, and D.O.C. come out. Brisco announces that Alex Silva was left beaten down in the parking lot. Brisco says he should have been in this Gut Check tournament and he will show Shaw how lucky he is.

Aces & Eights beat down Shaw. Brisco hits a neckbreaker to end the assault. Magnus comes out to chase away the group and make the save. Magnus says that this isn't something that sits right with him. Magnus says that Brisco doesn't deserve this opportunity. Magnus says that he will take him on right now.

No Contest

Match Three: Wes Brisco vs. Magnus (w/Garrett Bischoff and D.O.C.

Magnus unloading punches to start. Flying knee to the head is followed by a gutwrench throw. Ground and pound from the mount by Magnus. Wes Brisco heads outside to regroup as we break.

(Commercials)

We return with Wes Brisco working Magnus in the corner. Brisco unloading shots to the body. Corner clothesline puts Magnus down. Brisco rolls him over for a nearfall. Sleeper hold in by Brisco, followed by an elbow drop for a nearfall.

Magnus sent off the ropes and Brisco lands a back elbow. Sleeper hold once again locked in by Brisco. Magnus fighting out with body shots. Brisco clubs the back and then works Magnus in the corner again. Magnus exploding out with clotheslines. Magnus goes after a cornered Brisco, but eats the boots. Brisco up top, but Magnus catches him with a brainbuster. Magnus up top and Aces & Eights swarm to knock him off.

Winner by disqualification: Magnus

Samoa Joe comes out to make the save and sends the group packing after a few licks delivered.

Aces & Eights sharing some beers. Bully Ray congratulates Brisco. Mr. Anderson asks when AJ Styles will get here tonight. Bully guarantees he will be there tonight.

Match Four: Kurt Angle vs. Mr. Anderson

Kurt Angle with a side headlock takeover. Mr. Anderson trapped in the side headlock. Shoulder block from Angle. Anderson with a kick to the stomach and now working strikes in the corner. Anderson sent off the ropes and Angle again knocks him down. Stomps put Anderson down in the corner. Snap suplex earns Angle a nearfall.

Uppercut from Angle followed by a few punches. Anderson being shoulder rammed into the corner. Anderson sent into the opposite corner and he plays matador to send Angle into the ring post. Hard whip into the corner gets Anderson a nearfall.

Arm wrench followed by multiple shoulder blocks from Anderson. Side slam gets Anderson another nearfall. Angle down and Anderson stomping away.

angle now fights back with right hands, but Anderson stops that with a clothesline for a nearfall.

Left arm of Angle caught in an armbar. Angle struggles to his feet and gets an arm drag. Angle up top and he lands a missile dropkick. Both men down and Angle up first with clotheslines. Belly-to-belly suplex gets a nearfall for Angle. Rolling fireman's carry gets Anderson a nearfall as well.

Anderson in contro, but Angle ducks and gets the waistlock. Trio of German suplexes. Angle looking for the kill, but Anderson grabs him and hits the Mic Check. Close nearfall surprises Anderson.

Anderson up top, but Angle climbs up there to meet him with a belly-to-belly suplex. Both men down.

AJ Styles makes his way through the crowd. Angle distracted and the referee keeping an eye on Styles. Anderson with a low blow.

WInner by pinfall: Mr. Anderson

Gail Kim backstage. Gail Kim believes that she deserves a shot at the TNA Knockouts Championship more than anyone because she believes she is the best person to ever hold the belt. She states that she has taken out Taryn Terrell, Tara, and Velvet Sky. As soon as that is said, Taryn Terrell attacks Gail Kim. The officials separate the two.

TNA Tag Team Champions Chavo Guerrero and Hernandez sit with the announce team as James Storm enters. Storm recaps getting his spot at Slammiversary and his history in the tag-team division.

Bobby Roode and Austin Aries make their way out. Roode says that he is the king of tag-team wrestling. Roode says that his time in Beer Money was the worst time of his life and smashing the bottle over Storm's head was his favorite moment ever.

Bad Influence is here. Christopher Daniels makes a claim to being the best team in TNA. Kazarian says that Storm made a bad move rejecting Bad Influence. Kaz says it doesn't matter who Storm picks, as they will not measure up to himself and Daniels. Storm wants to get to his point and bring out his tag partner.

Shark Boy makes his way to the ring. Shark Boy says he swam all the way to Tampa Bay to volunteer to be his tag partner. Robbie E then makes his way out. Robbie E says that Storm wants to team with someone who will make him a champion and he volunteers his services as well. Robbie E starts busting out tag team names, prompting Shark Boy and himself to get heated.

Gunner makes his way through the crowd and proceeds to take out Shark Boy and Robbie E. Gunner stands in front of Storm and Storm announces that he has found his partner.

Joseph Park meets up with Sting. Park is excited to be competing for the TNA Television Championship at Slammiversary. Park then voices support for Sting. Sting thanks him and wants Park to help him find Abyss for next week's show so he can team with Sting. Park seems like he won't be able to find Abyss and Sting says that he is definitely considering Park for next week as well.

Match Five for the TNA Knockouts Championship: Velvet Sky (c) vs. Mickie James

Arm wrench for Velvet Sky starts it off. Mickie James arm drags out and gets a nearfall out of it. Velvet Sky with one of her own for a nearfall.

Sky working an armbar. James sent ouff the ropes and ducks a kick. Snapmare, but Sky trips the leg. Running dropkick from Sky gets another nearfall. James and Sky exchange forearms. Half-nelson bomb from James and she holds the submission as we hit the break.

James with the keylock as we return. Velvet Sky with an arm drag to shake the hold. The two back up and Sky unloads forearms. Clotheslines and a back elbow follow. Chops to the chest and a headscissors takeover attempt follow, but James gets out. Chain wrestling exchange leads to a Sky legsweep for a nearfall.

Sky puts James in the corner, but James reverses. Roundhouse kick to the stomach are followed by shoulders to the stomach. Sky gets the boots up as James charges, then scores a headscissors takeover. Sky favoring her knee and James chop blocks the knee. DDT from James connects.

Winner by pinfall and new TNA Knockouts Champion: Mickie James

Aces & Eights celebrating the victory of Mr. Anderson and the upcoming ceremony for AJ Styles.

Aces & Eights make their way out. Bully Ray does a brief rundown and introduction before introducing AJ Styles. Bully makes it known how valuable of a free agent Styles is at the moment. Bully asks the supposedly straight-edge Styles to put his beer up and have his first drink with him. Styles guzzles the beer down.

Bully asks Anderson to give him the jacket. Styles holds the jacket as he looks among the crowd. Bully tells Anderson to hold the jacket open for him.

Kurt Angle comes out. Angle said he wants to see this with his own eyes. Angle believes this will ruin Styles' legacy in TNA. Angle says that he can go ahead and be a scumbag and join the group. Bully tells Styles to put on the jacket and he does.

Angle enters the ring and the gang beats him down. Bully Ray hands AJ Styles the hammer and asks him to take out Angle. Styles slams the hammer across Angle, who tumbles to the floor. The group all poses and Styles joins them. The group poses for the other side of the audience and Styles begins to contemplate. Styles turns D.O.C. around and smacks him with the hammer.

The show closes with Styles wreaking a bit of havoc before abandoning ship. Aces & Eights chase after him and chaos rules as we fade to black.
