TNA Impact: Sting, Bully Ray set for Slammiversary main event

At Slammiversary, Sting and TNA World Heavyweight Champion Bully Ray will battle it out for the belt. Tonight on TNA Impact, the two will make it official with a contract signing. What could be in store for Sting and Bully Ray at Slammiversary will be determined at the end of the night. All of that and more on this week's edition of TNA Impact.

Recap of all the latest events in TNA.

We are on tape from Tupelo, Miss. Todd Keneley, Mike Tenay, and Taz have the call for this week.

Hulk Hogan makes his way to the ring. Hogan plays to the crowd a bit before getting down to business. Hogan was shocked by AJ Styles walking out last week and says that he doesn't care if he joins Aces & Eights because Kurt Angle will be behind him every step of the way. Therefore, Angle vs. Styles will be going down at Slammiversary.

Hogan reminds us of tonight's contract signing before acknowledging the return of Abyss last week. Abyss is invited out by Hogan. Abyss has his music hit, but no one makes their way out. Hogan again asks for a chance to give thanks.

The music hits once again and Joseph Park gets to the ring. Park was surprised to see his brother return last week as he watched from home. Hogan says they need Abyss now more than ever and Park should know where he is.

The music of Aces & Eights hits and D'Lo Brown and Devon hit the ring. Devon says they aren't here for Hogan, but they want Abyss. Devon says Abyss wasn't legally in the match last week and he wants him now. Devon says he will take it out on Joseph Park if he doesn't get him. Park starts getting fired up with the group and challenges Devon to a match right now.

Devon says that he doesn't deserve a shot at him. D'Lo Brown volunteers to take on Park later tonight. Hogan makes it official. Devon says that he will be coming for Abyss. Hogan says that once Park beats Brown, he will give him the green light to take out Devon anytime.

James Storm backstage with a brew in hand. The cameraman wants to know what Storm is planning as revenge for tonight. Storm just tells him to watch.

Christian York video package outlines the opportunities he gained through Gut Check.

Match One: Bobby Roode vs. Chavo Guerrero

Lockup and Roode grabs an abdominal stretch. Guerrero with a hip toss to fight out. Roode again with the side headlock. Shoulder bump off the ropes by Roode. Roode hip tossed by Guerrero. Drop toehold into a side headlock by Guerrero. Headscissors takeover from Guerrero sends Roode to the floor.

Guerrero tries a flying attack, but is forced to stop on the apron as Roode moves. Roode trips Guerrero and flattens him on the apron. Roode runs him into the barricade before taking it back inside.

Scoop slam and a knee drop from Roode for a nearfall. Guerrero fights back in the corner, but Roode rakes the eyes. Snapmare into a running beckbreaker from Roode, who gets a little cocky. The two trade punches in the middle of the ring. Guerrero gets control with a boot. Back drop puts Guerrero on the apron, but he gets a shoulder to the abs and a senton splash inside. Headscissors takeover and Guerrero lands the Three Amigos. Guerrero up top, but Roode shakes the top rope. Guerrero lands on the top rope in a bad way and falls outside.

"Cowboy" James Storm makes his way out to the ring. Beer in hand, Storm takes a swig and turns Roode around. Storm spits the brew right into the eyes of Roode while the referee is right there.

Winner by disqualification: Bobby Roode

Video package recaps the building tension between Kurt Angle and AJ Styles.

Kurt Angle hits the ring, Angle talks about how the Aces & Eights have made it hard to trust anyone in the locker room and that is why he brought the fight to Styles. Angle says he doesn't want to wait until Slammiversary to fight Styles and calls him out.

Mr. Anderson makes his way through the audience. Anderson says that Styles is not close to Angle and that Styles will be patched into Aces & Eights next week. Anderson challenges Angle to show up. Angle says he doesn't want to wait until next week and beats Anderson down. Styles tries to sneak up on Angle. The two face off and Styles plants him with a Pele.

Jay Bradley video package talks about his experience after Gut Check.

Match Two: Jay Bradley vs. Christian York

This begins the Gut Check tournament to earn a spot in the Bound for Glory Series.

Lockup leads to a stalemate. Bradley shoves York, who shoves back. Rollup for a nearfall by York. York locks in the arm wrench and works the left arm. Right hand from Bradley. York fires back, but Bradley presses him into the air for a crash landing. Big boot from Bradley gets a nearfall.

Bradley working York with strikes. Elbow strikes to the top of the head. York fights back, but Bradley with a knee to the stomach. Brradley with a chinlock in. York arm drags him way out. Springboard back elbow for York. Counter attack from Bradley starts with a scoop slam. Bradley looking to knock York out, but York gets to the corner safely. York takes control with a headscissors and a rolling cannonball splash in the corner. Mood Swing does not convert. The two men exchange momentum. York up top, but Bradley ducks and goes off the ropes. Boom Stick lariat lands.

Winner by pinfall: Jay Bradley

Christy Hemme with Bradley. Bradley says he is ready to get in the Bound for Glory Series to become the TNA World Heavyweight Champion.

Storm coming out of Hogan's office. The cameraman asked what was said and Storm says that he was told that his actions would have repercussions. Storm tells the cameraman to keep watching.

Mr. Anderson joins Aces & Eights and they celebrate over the news of Styles being patched in next week before hyping up D'Lo Brown for his match later tonight.

Brooke Hogan complimenting Mickie James on her new album and promotional tour. James appreciates it and would have appreciated wrestling at Slammiversary. Hogan informs her that she will have a shot at the belt against TNA Knockouts Champion Velvet Sky next week.

TNA World Heavyweight Champion Bully Ray makes his presence felts and tells Hogan that she should inform her father than tonight's contract signing will be more of a negotation. Hogan storms off.

Match Three: Gail Kim vs. Velvet Sky

Velvet Sky proving to be to quick for Gail Kim to start. Sweep of the leg and arm drag for Sky. Snap suplex followed by some forearms for Sky. Running bulldog and Sky in total control. Headscissors takeover from Sky leads to a running clothesline in the corner. Sky cornered and she gets the boot up, but Gail Kim with a kneebreaker. Gail Kim working the right leg now.

Gail Kim moves outside. Right leg of Sky is draped over the apron and Gail Kim smashes it down.

Action again back inside and Gail Kim using all sorts of offense to further the damage on the leg of Sky. Gail Kim with submissions and a hangman's kneebreaker. Texas Cloverleaf locked in. Sky inches her way towards the rope and barely gets there. Gail Kim again stretching the leg and Sky again gets to the rope. Gail Kim up top, but Sky meets her with forearms. Japanese Arm Drag pulls Gail Kim down. Both ladies down. Sky with clotheslines and In Yo' Face misses. Sky kicks Gail Kim away and grabs a rollup.

Winner by pinfall: Velvet Sky

Gail Kim continuing her vicious streak by locking in the figure four across the ring post.

Chris Sabin, Petey Williams, and Kenny King break down their matchup for the TNA X Division Championship tonight.

Video package promotes the return of Suicide.

Match Four for the TNA X Division Championship: Kenny King (c) vs. Chris Sabin vs. Petey Williams

Kenny King immediately moves outside to start. Lockup inside leads to a grappling exchange between Petey Williams and Chris Sabin. Arm drags from Sabin connect. Williams with a drop toehold on the middle rope. Williams off the ropes, but King drags him outside to put him into the barricade

King moves inside. Kick is caught and Sabin sweeps the leg. Chops from Sabin. Sabin with a boot on the back bodydrop attempt, but King follows with a back elbow. Both men running the ropes until King clocks Sabin with a capoeira kick.

Williams moves inside with a facebuster on King and a running dropkick to the back of Sabin for a nearfall. Sabin moves outside and King works on Williams for a nearfall.

King mounts Williams in the corner and lands a strike. Baseball slide keeps Sabin outside. King whips Williams hard into the corner. Scoop slam and springboard leg drop from King get a nearfall.

King locking in a neck crank. Williams elbows out. King gets the side headlock and humps over the top rope to get a hangman's neckbreaker. King springboards in, but Sabin is there with back elbows. Jackknife cover from Sabin grabs him a nearfall.

Sabin sent out. Williams hits a suicide dive on the outside. Williams back in and he gets a side legsweep for a nearfall. Cradle DDT into a crucifix gets Williams another nearfall. Williams poised, but Sabin gets to him. Sabin tries a tornado DDT, but King with an enzuigiri. Spinning heel kick from King on Williams gets another nearfall.

Back elbow from Williams. He goes up top, but King gets a backbreaker on Williams. King gets Williams on top of his shoulders, but Sabin from behind. King in the tree of woe in the corner after a spinning back kick. Williams up and he gets a Death Valley Driver on top of King from Sabin. Powerbomb and running dropkick on Williams. Sabin eats a running kick from King. Royal Flush lands on Williams.

Winner by pinfall: Kenny King

Bad Influence in their dressing room. Christopher Daniels worried about James Storm tonight in his match against Hernandez. Kazarian promises to be at ringside to scare Storm off.

D'Lo Brown with Mr. Anderson. Anderson wants Brown to detail how he got to this position. Brown says he has messed up and Anderson says that he is pulling for him tonight.

Match Five: Christopher Daniels (w/Kazarian) vs. Hernandez

Tie-up has Hernandez muscle Christopher Daniels into the corner. Daniels with an eye poke and he works Hernandez down in the corner with strikes. Daniels tries a scoop slam inside, but Hernandez is too big and grabs a vertical suplex. Backbreaker from Hernandez and he heads to the ramp. Battering ram inside lands. Hernandez off the ropes, but Kazarian trips him up. Clothesline to the back of the head from Daniels is followed by a neckbreaker for a nearfall.

Daniels with a chop to the back of Hernandez. Hernandez tossed outside. Kazarian taking some liberties by stomping Hernandez down as Daniels talks to the referee.

Hernandez on the apron with a shoulder to the stomach. Flying shoulder block by Hernandez back inside. Clothesline after clothesline lead to a huge hip toss. Daniels cornered, but he gets shoved away by Kazarian and Hernandez lands hard off the splash.

James Storm makes his way down the ramp. Kazarian blocks him, but jumps off in fear. Daniels distracted and turns around into the signature Get Off Me shoudler block.

Winner by pinfall: Hernandez

James Storm says that Hulk Hogan sent him out here to make this announcement. TNA Tag Team Champions Chavo Guerrero and Hernandez will take on Bad Influence, Bobby Roode & Austin Aries, and James Storm and a partner of his choice.

Match Six: D'Lo Brown vs. Joseph Park

D'Lo Brown opens up with the knees to the stomach of Joseph Park. Forearms and a scoop slam from Brown follow. Brown looking for a punch, but Park ducks and lands some punches of his own. Brown with a back elbow that sends Park outside.

Brown opening up with some strikes. Park gets his head driven into the apron and Brown tosses him back inside.

Park fighting back to his feet with strikes. Park off the ropes, but Brown with a running dropkick to the knee of Park. Shining wizard converts for Brown. Park sent into the corner, but he counters with a rollup for a nearfall.

Brown with another shining wizard that corners Park. Running splash for Brown finally puts Park down. Stomps and punches follow. Park busted open by Brown. Park up and he sees his own blood. Park hits the switch and unloads clotheslines. Corner splash and Black Hole Slam lands.

Winner by pinfall: Joseph Park

Jeremy Borash behind the podium to introduce the contract signing. TNA World Heavyweight Champion Bully Ray makes his way out to the ring. He sends Borash packing and then introduces himself. Bully Ray says he knows Sting is listening and informs him this is a negotiation. Bully Ray knows Sting has stipulations and he is all ears.

Sting makes his way out. Bully Ray shuts down the music and asks for Hulk Hogan to join them so this can be official. Bully Ray says this is the first time he has been face-to-face since he turned on Sting. Bully informs Sting that he won't be getting an apology.

Sting doesn't want the apology. Sting informs Bully Ray that he wants Bully Ray to break every bone in his body and gouge out his eyes. Bully Ray looks confused and Sting tells him that he will do that to him if Bully doesn't do it to him. Sting wants no holds barred.

Bully Ray agrees to the rules on one condition. Bully Ray wants Sting to give up all shots at the TNA World Heavyweight Championship if he loses. Hulk Hogan speaks up, but Bully Ray keeps taunting him. Hogan tells him not to do it.

The show closes with Sting accepting the offer and the two men brawling inside the ring.
