Smackdown!: Big Show evens the odds against Sheamus and Orton
By DALE PLUMMER -- SLAM! Wrestling

So many questions to be answered on Smackdown!, tonight from Knoxville, Tennessee. Will there be a Triple Threat match for the World Heavyweight Title? Can Orton and Sheamus continue to fight off The Big Show? Has Fandango-ing officially jumped the shark? Michael Cole, Josh Matthews and JBL may not have all the answers, but they are behind the microphones as always.

Having not learned their lesson last week on Smackdown! and RAW, Fandango is the first one out through the curtain. The crowd is kinda into, but they are not acting like it's the worldwide craze Michael Cole says it is. I'd say the Fonz is revving up his motorcycle right about now. Fandango creepily hits on Lillian Garcia asking if she has ever performed various dance moves. He tells her Fandango-ing feels good, and takes her for a spin around the ring and then calls her a terrible dance partner. Fandango turns his attention to the crowd, chiding them for mocking him. Thankfully, Santino interrupts him.

Santino wants to introduce Fandango to the Cobra, and dances around the ring. The cobra chases Fandango out of the ring, and this match will start after the break.

Match #1 Fandango vs. Santino Marella

The match is all ready in progress after the commercial, and Fandango is in complete control. He chokes Santino on the ropes and follows by slamming his head into the mat. Santino powers out of side headlock and fights his way back into the match. The Cobra makes another appearance, but Santino walks right into an slam. Fandango covers and gets the pin.

Winner via pinfall: Fandango

Booker T is chewing out Teddy Long for going behind his back, when Big Show thanks Long for allowing him to have a tag team partner to face Orton and Sheamus. Booker T doesn't look happy.

Match #2 Wade Barrett vs. Kofi Kingston

Barrett starts the match by kneeing Kofi in the gut, but Kofi answers with a hurricanrana. A flurry a kicks allows Kofi to make a cover, but Barrett kicks out. Kofi kicks Barrett in the face after a side Russian leg sweep, and makes another cover after a springboard splash off the ropes. Barrett kicks out and then knocks Kofi off the ropes to the outside. Barrett slams Kofi face first into the announce table. Barrett applies a head lock and whips Kofi into the corner. Kofi leaps to the top turnbuckle, but Barrett knocks him to the mat. Barrett catches Kofi mid move and slams him to the mat and covers for the pin. Kofi reverse the pin and surprise Barrett to get the win.

Winner via pinfall: Kofi Kingston

Mark Henry has attacked Sheamus last week on Smackdown! and again on Monday night, so that's why he is tagging with Big Show tonight. Renee Young asks Henry why he made the attacks, all Henry said was because he could. Sheamus then promptly jumps him.

Match #3 Alberto Del Rio vs. Jack Swagger w/ Zeb Colter

Swagger immediately tries to work on the injured left leg or Del Rio, while Alberto is focused on Swagger's shoulder. Swagger takes Del Rio to the mat with a side head lock. Del Rio fights out, but then tweaks his knee after leapfrogging Swagger. The real American hits a suplex and then gets Del Rio hung up in the ropes. Del Rio hits the floor hard and we go to commercial.

After the break, Swagger is still focused on the leg of Del Rio. Swagger kicks out of a crucifix pin and pummels Del Rio into the corner. Swagger ducks an enziguri in the corner. Del Rio connects with a clothesline and follows up with a tilt-a-whirl back breaker. Del Rio then hits a back stabber from the ropes, but Swagger is able to kick out. Del Rio looks for the cross arm breaker, but Swagger counters into the Ankle Lock. Del Rio is able to grab the ropes to break the hold. Swagger connects with the Swagger Bomb, but cannot get the pin. Del Rio fights off another Ankle Lock and slams Swagger to the mat. Swagger fights off a cross arm breaker, pushing Del Rio out of the ring. Del Rio kicks Swagger in the face, but Swagger is able to grab to the bottom rope to break the pin. Del Rio reverses the Ankle Lock into the cross arm breaker, but Swagger counters into a pin, which Del Rio counters into a roll up. Del Rio hold for the three count and picks up the win.

Winner via pinfall: Alberto Del Rio

Ryback's reasoning for taking out Cena actually makes a lot a sense, even for wrestling.

The Shield takes over the broadcast to address the Cena/Ryback situation. They say Ryback knows what justice is now, which is why he didn't step in. The Shield go on to say that The Undertaker is afraid of them and this Monday they will prove he is not immortal.

Match #4 Natalya, Hornswoggle and the Great Khali vs. Rosa Mendes, Primo and Epico

So, this match came about because Rosa stole Hornswoggle's parking spot. Khali picks up the win for his team with a two handed chokeslam to Primo.

Winner via pinfall: Natalya, Hornswoggle and the Great Khali

Match #5 Mark Henry and Big Show vs. Sheamus and Randy Orton

The match starts with Sheamus and Mark Henry trash talking each other, but Henry doesn't want to back it up, so he tags in Big Show. Show clobbers Sheamus across the chest, but misses the elbow drop. Orton tags in and runs into a side slam from Show. Orton tries to fight his way back into the match, and is able to hit a DDT in the middle of the ring.

Sheamus tags in, taking down Show with a shoulder tackle from the top turnbuckle. Sheamus picks Show up to deliver White Noise. Henry taunts Sheamus as he readies the Brogue Kick. The Celtic Warrior knocks Henry off the apron, but turns right into a spear from Show.

After the break, Big Show is dominating Sheamus in the ring. Henry finally makes a tag, and locks in a shoulder claw. Show tags back in, working over the mid section of Sheamus. Big Show locks in a claw grip on the same shoulder that Henry did. Orton gets the hot tag, as Henry also tags in. Orton fights out of the corner and takes Henry down with a clothesline. A DDT gets Orton a near fall. Henry retreats to apron and Orton looks for the elevated DDT. Big Show cuts him off. Henry tags out and Orton catches Big Show entering the ring. Orton drops him with the elevated DDT off the top rope. Orton goes for the punt, but Henry stops him. Sheamus takes out Henry, but the time allows Show to recover. Big Show choke slams Orton and covers to get the win.

Winner via pinfall: Big Show and Mark Henry
