WWE Main Event: Alberto Del Rio faces a big task on the road to Wrestlemania

As we accelerate down the road to Wrestlemania, things are intensifying in the WWE. Perhaps nothing is more heated than the rivalry between WWE World Heavyweight Champion Alberto Del Rio and Jack Swagger. Tonight on WWE Main Event, Alberto Del Rio sees action against Big Show. Will Jack Swagger and Zeb Colter have any impact on this huge challenge? All that and more on this week's episode of WWE Main Event!

We are on tape from Ft, Wayne, Ind. Michael Cole and The Miz have the call for this week.

Ricardo Rodriguez is here to introduce the WWE World Heavyweight Champion Alberto Del Rio. Del Rio takes the mic once he hits the ring, saying he has a smile because of what he is about to show the people. He says that his Wrestlemania opponent Jack Swagger may claim otherwise, but he believes that everyone that is in America currently was made there and belongs there. Del Rio says that Swagger has said some hurtful and insensitive things, but some of them are funny to him.

Roll the video package that played on Monday night of Rodriguez playing Zeb Colter and Del Rio playing Swagger.

Del Rio says that he needs to get down to business because he has a big opponent.

Match One: Alberto Del Rio vs. Big Show

Big Show locks up with Del Rio and tosses him to the mat with ease. Show gets him on the ropes and unleashes a chop to the chest. Del Rio moves outside, then runs back on. Show complies and gets on the apron, allowing Del Rio to unload kicks. Backstabber as Show is turned around. Zeb Colter and Jack Swagger make their presence felt and make their way out as we break.

Show lands a chop to the chest of Del Rio as we return. Del Rio with a brief burst of offense before Show drops him with a shoulder block. Show clubbing the left arm of Del Rio, then landing on the elbow with his groin to stretch the joint. Del Rio on his knees and Show works a keylock variation. Del Rio tossed in the corner, but he gets a boot up on Show. Show with a kick to the gut and a powerbomb attempt, but Del Rio with a hurricanrana. Del Rio up top and he lands a seated senton for a nearfall.

Del Rio now on the offensive. Kicks to the head over and over. Side kick to the head of Show and Del Rio earns yet another nearfall. Cross Armbreaker locked in, but Show carries him over the top rope and drops him hard on the apron. The referee admonishes Show and Jack Swagger uses this to come and chop block the knee of Del Rio. Del Rio in a world of hurt and he cannot make it to the ring before the referee ends his count.

Winner by countout: Big Show

Jack Swagger and Zeb Colter are proud of their dirty work and Del RIo wants to fight, but can't get anywhere on a bum knee.

Match Two: Heath Slater and Drew McIntyre (w/ Jinder Mahal) vs. The Usos

Slater starts with Jimmy Uso. Arm wrenches exchanged and Slater lands an arm drag. Jimmy Uso knocks Slater down and Jey Uso brought in. Double-team elbow drop gains a nearfall. The referee is distracted by McIntyre and Mahal pulls down the ropes as Jey Uso is sent into them, sending him tumbling to the floor. McIntyre now the legal man and he heads outside to drop Jey Uso on the apron.

Action moves back inside and McIntyre lands a big boot for a nearfall. Slater in with a running kick to the ribs. Slater playing to the fans and landing some right-handed jabs for a nearfall. Slater with a sleeper in. Jey Uso manages to get up and uses the ropes as a slingshot to land a side suplex.

McIntyre and Jimmy Uso brought in on the hot tags. Jimmy Uso comes in and cleans house, only to be leveled by a big boot from McIntyre. Jimmy Uso turns it all around with a Samoan drop and a butt splash in the corner for a nearfall. Slater breaks the pin and tries to slide outside to attack Jey Uso, but Jey sidesteps him and kicks him in the face from the apron. Jey Uso in with a splash from the top.

Winner by pinfall: The Usos

Recap of Raw shows a preview of The Rock vs. John Cena II at Wrestlemania for the WWE Championship and Brock Lesnar throwing down the gauntlet for Triple H after taking out the New Age Outlaws.

Recap of WWE Intercontinental Champion Wade Barrett interfering with the contender matchup between Chris Jericho and The Miz. Barrett will face both of those men next Monday with his title on the line.

Match Three: Wade Barrett vs. Justin Gabriel

Gabriel with the speedy offense, compounded by a few arm drags and a cradle for a nearfall. Clothesline from the second rope by Gabriel and he heads to the apron. Gabriel with some counterstrikes to Barrett and he heads up top, but Barrett brings him down on his stomach. Gabriel laid across the corner and Barrett with a huge running knee to the abdomen of Gabriel for a nearfall.

Barrett places Gabriel between the ropes and locks in a Thai clinch to unload knee after knee. nearfall for Barrett and he locks in the sleeper. Gabriel struggles back to his feet and unleashes the educated feet. Spinning kicks galore and a side kick from the second rope put Gabriel in control. Barrett on the mat and Gabriel up top for the 450 Splash. Barrett ducks the attack and hits a side kick to the jaw. Barrett looking for the Bull Hammer, but Gabriel ducks it and heads up top. Gabriel comes down right into a Bull Hammer.

WInner by pinfall: Wade Barrett

After the match, there is a little staredown between Barrett and Miz.

Video package shows the red carpet event for Dead Man Down.

Show closes with the confrontation between CM Punk, Undertaker, and Kane from Raw.
