Impact: Hardy opponent still unknown for Lockdown

Jeff Hardy was taken out at the hands of Aces and Eights right before TNA was set to hit the United Kingdom for their annual trip. Tonight on Impact, Hardy may not be around, but he will be getting an opponent for Lockdown. Hulk Hogan will decide who gets the shot at the TNA World Heavyweight Championship after four matches, looking for the most impressive victor to challenge for the strap. Additionally, expect all kinds of chicanery from Aces and Eights and much more on this week's episode of Impact!

Recap of last week kicks off the show.

We are on tape from London, U.K. Todd Keneley, Mike Tenay, and Taz have the call for tonight's festivities.

Hulk Hogan makes his way to the ring, soaking up the cheers from the enthusiastic crowd. Hogan is very excited to be in London, but he has business to take care. First, Hogan needs to determine who will throw down with TNA World Heavyweight Champion Jeff Hardy. There will be four matches tonight in a tournament to determine the contender. TNA X Division Champion Rob Van Dam will take on James Storm. Christopher Daniels will face Magnus. Kurt Angle meets Samoa Joe. And, finally, TNA World Tag Team Champions Bobby Roode and Austin Aries square off.

Hogan now moves on to his next item on the agenda. Aces and Eights called out the TNA roster to have a war at Lockdown. Hogan selects Sting to be the captain of the TNA team. The captain makes his way to the ring. Sting is also enthusiastic to be in London and touts the crowd as some of the best fans in the world. Sting formally accepts the challenge from Aces and Eights. He says that he will be looking up and down the roster for prospective members, promising victory at Lockdown.

Match One: Christoper Daniels vs. Magnus

Daniels locks up with Magnus and grabs an armlock. Magnus turns it around and gets a shoulder block. Daniels drives Magnus into the corner and works him. Magnus fights back with strikes. Daniels goes off the ropes, but Magnus catches him with a vertical suplex. Magnus slamming Daniels' head into the turnbuckle. Missed splash in the corner from Magnus, but he lands a back elbow on Daniels. Daniels ties up the referee and Kazarian hits a hangman's neckbreaker on Magnus, which leads to Daniels hitting an STO for a nearfall.

Daniels works a chinlock on Magnus, but Magnus fights back to his feet. Magnus off the ropes, but the referee has his back turned and Kazarian trips him up. Daniels with some strikes for another nearfall. Magnus coming back with right hands. Daniels with a slam and a failed BME. Magnus unloading right hands and Kazarian gets on the ramp. Magnus has a right hand for him, too. The referee ejects Kazarian. Daniels is upset, but Magnus with the back bodydrop to put Daniels inside. Huge clothesline from Magnus after a chain of counters. Driver lands for Magnus. Magnus up top and hits the elbow drop.

Winner by pinfall: Magnus

Backstage, Bully Ray is with Brooke Hogan. Bully is upset that an injury has set him back, something he thought would never happen. However, it is Valentine's Day, and he isn't going to let this day be ruined by his injury. Brooke Hogan just tells him to be careful and asks him to wear his wedding ring when they go out.

Magnus talks about how his injury at the hands of Aces and Eights has given him the fuel to improve and be the best.

Match Two: Samoa Joe vs. Kurt Angle

Lockup gives Joe the side headlock. Shoulder block from Joe and Angle moves outside to regroup. Angle back in and works Joe into the corner. Joe works his jab and splashes Angle in the corner, followed by the pendulum kick. Snapmare into a knee drop from Joe garners a nearfall. Uppercuts from Joe, but Angle latches on and gets a belly-to-belly suplex. Angle stomping Joe in the corner. Snap suplex from Angle in the middle of the ring earns a nearfall.

Snapmare from Angle leads to a sleeper hold. Joe fights up to his feet, but Angle with a back elbow that drops Joe before the break.

Front headlock in for Angle as we return. Joe with right hands to the stomach, but Angle goes behind Joe. Joe whips him around and lands an elbow. Angle is tossed outside by Joe and looks to have injured his leg. Joe through the ropes with a suicide dive. Action eventually moves inside and Joe hits an inverted atomic drop and a back splash for a nearfall.

Joe looking for more offense, but Angle steps behind and lands a German suplex. Angle gets all three. Angle going for an Angle Slam, but Joe scoots out and lands some jabs. Angle whips Joe into the corner, but an ST-Joe slams Angle into the mat. Joe sits Angle up top, but Angle punches him away and hits a missile dropkick. Angle stalking Joe and he hits an Angle Slam. Joe back up as Angle hypes up and he locks in the Coquina Clutch. Angle backs into a corner and rolls through to put in the Ankle Lock. Joe in pain and he is looking to tap. Using his leg strength, Joe tosses Angle into the corner.

Garrett Bischoff and Wes Brisco hit the ring to beat down both men. They are soon dispatched, but the match is finished.

Result: No Contest

Dixie Carter backstage with the British Bootcamp competitors. Although Rockstar Spud won the entire thing, Dixie says that they will be given a chance to impress and wishes each competitor luck.

Match Three: The Blossom Twins & Party Marty vs. Gail Kim, Tara, & Jesse

The men start off. Jesse with a knee to the stomach and a shoulder block. Spinning back kick from Marty. Snapmare into a roundhouse to the head from Marty. Jesse in the corner and Marty runs up, only to slap him. Jesse turns to whip Marty into the corner, but a back elbow leads to a springboard moonsault from Marty for a nearfall as we go to break.

Jesse tags Tara in, bringing one of the Blossom Twins in. The announcers are befuddled as to which one it is, but she lands a few armdrags before she tags out to her sister. A double team attack earns the Blossoms a nearfall. Gail Kim comes in, but Blossom fights out with forearms and goes to the corner to get a springboard elbow for a nearfall. Jesse distracts referee Taryn Terrell and Tara sneaks in a cheap shot kick.

Tara is brought in and tosses Blossom by her hair. Gail Kim is quickly brought back in. Backbreaker from Gail gets a nearfall. Blossom sent into the corner and Gail with a running shoulder block to the stomach, earning yet another nearfall. Tara brought back in with a kick to the ribs. Clubbing blows earn Tara a nearfall. Tara with a scoop slam, but Blossom gets her knees up on the standing moonsault.

Gail Kim and the other half of the Blossom Twins is in. Tara tries to interfere, but she is put out and a double team attack earns one of the Blossoms a nearfall. Jesse tries to get involved after his team is cleared out of the ring. Party Marty hits a missile dropkick and a suicide dive on the outside to take Jesse out. Eat Defeat by Gail Kim puts down one of the Blossom Twins.

Winners by pinfall: Gail Kim, Tara, & Jesse

Gail Kim has the microphone and says that is why she is the most dominant Knockout ever. Gail thanks Taryn Terrell for not screwing up, then tells Tara that she wants a shot at the TNA Knockouts Championship. Gail asks for Brooke Hogan to declare her the contender. Brooke makes her way down the ramp and decides to give Gail a shot at the belt, but adds that Miss Tessmacher and Velvet Sky will also be in the match. Additionally, Brooke says she will be at ringside next week to monitor the elimination match.

Recap of all the major past events from the past couple of weeks, including tonight's action and an update on Jeff Hardy.

Aries and Roode backstage. They are trying to determine how to divvy up all the titles in TNA. Roode asks if Aries will be doing what's right for business, to which Aries says he always does what is right for business. The two walk away, seemingly in agreement for a plan during tonight's match.

Match Four: Rob Van Dam vs. James Storm

Lockup leads to a stalemate between the two. Both reset and another lockup lets RVD grab a side headlock. Shoulder block for RVD. He flips over the back of Storm, but Storm turns it into a hip toss. RVD cornered, but Storm is bodydropped to the apron. Storm with an enzuigiri. RVD counters with a turning heel kick. Monkey flip and a springboard side kick lead to a Rolling Thunder nearfall for RVD.

Kicks to the ribs and a backbreaker from RVD. Split-leg moonsault grabs RVD another nearfall. The two exchange strikes in the middle of the ring, leading to a quick DDT from Storm for his first nearfall of the match. Strikes again being exchanged and RVD tries a float-over in the corner, only to eat an Alabama Slam from Storm for a nearfall. Closing Time misses as RVD grabs the ropes. Storm back up and he gets Closing Time on the second try. Storm calling for the Last Call, but RVD turns it around for a step-over kick. RVD up top, but Storm knocks him to the apron. Storm bouncing the head of RVD on the turnbuckle. RVD prevents this from happening and kicks Storm over the top. Storm down in the opposite corner and RVD looking for the Van Terminator, but no dice.

Both men down here and Storm standing in the corner. Last Call Superkick nails RVD and he is out.

Winner by pinfall: James Storm

Joseph Park backstage at Hulk Hogan's office. Park says that "the boys" told him to "politic" to be able to get anywhere in the business, so he asks for a shot at Hardy, saying he has campaign posters and buttons made. Hogan informs Park to ask "the boys" what a "rib" is and that he needs to cool his jets.

Brooke and Hulk Hogan discussing Bully Ray backstage. Brooke wants Bully to get a title shot, but Hulk says that he needs to keep an open mind. Brooke asks Hulk to soften up, but Hulk has to remain objective.

Video package documents the partnership of Austin Aries and Bobby Roode.

Match Five: Bobby Roode vs. Austin Aries

Both men have something to say before the match. Roode says that Hogan has already tried to keep himself and Aries down. Roode wants to bring prestige and honor back to each belt. Aries says that Hogan's plan is transparent and his plan won't work. Aries insists that both men know what's right for business and this will be simple. Aries instructs the referee to ring the bell.

Both men begin with a finger poke to the chest. They exchange finger pokes and seem to be referencing something. Both men are heated about it and insist on the other laying down. Aries grabs the mic and tells Roode to go down on his poke. Aries says he is going to be the bigger man here and lay down for Bobby. Roode gets on top, but Aries turns it into a crucifix pin for a nearfall.

The two start a shoving match and begin shouting at each other as we break.

Lockup as we return. Aries presses Roode into the corner, which leads to another shoving match. Both men are still heated, but they go to another lockup. Side headlock from Aries. Roode sends him off the ropes, but Aries cartwheels and hammocks himself on the top rope in his typical fashion. Roode charges, but eats turnbuckle. Aries on the apron and tries a sunset flip, but Roode sits down and gets caught with his hands on the ropes.

Aries is upset about this and another shoving match ensues. Side headlock by Aries gets him sent into the corner, but he floats over and gets a rollup on Roode. Referee catches Aries with his feet on the ropes. Both men again arguing and shoving. Roode with a right. Aries with a left. They exchange strikes, with Aries getting the best of it with a discus forearm. Aries off the ropes, but Roode plants him with a spinebuster for a nearfall.

Roode looking to dart Aries in the corner, but Aries pushes him off and Roode falls on his face into a turnbuckle. Aries tries to splash, but Roode sits him up top. The two exchanging up here, with superplex opportunities failing. Roode falls as Aries boxes the ears. Aries on top and the 450 Splash misses, but he rolls through. Roode looking to spear, but Aries sprawls and gets the Last Chancery in. Roode in pain for quite a bit, but he fights out and rakes the eyes. Roode capitalizes with a crossface, but Aries rolls over on it for a nearfall.

The two start exchanging holds and finisher attempts, some unique chain wrestling. Aries shoves Roode into the official. Roode scoots outside to grab a chair, but once he is in, the referee has almost come to. Roode slaps the mat with the chair and flops. Before the ref turns around, Aries does the same. Both men complain that the other hit them with a chair.

Chavo Guerrero and Hernandez make their way down the ramp, wearing Roode and Aries t-shirts. Roode and Aries meet them halfway. Hernandez wearing a Roode t-shirt, while Chavo rocks the Aries t-shirt. The two are walked down by the tag champs, with the referee reaching eight of a ten count as they move closer to the entrance. Both men hear this and try to scurry back, but they both impede the other's progress and both are counted out.

Result: Double Countout

Hogan and Sting backstage and Hogan is nervous to make a decision about who will take on Jeff Hardy.

Hogan makes his way to the ring. He laments over how hard this decision is, as each man did their best tonight. Aces and Eights make their way through the crowd and surround the ring. Hogan is completely surrounded, but Bully Ray comes out limping with chain in hand. The group steps down from the apron as Bully and Hogan stand back-to-back. Sting makes his way to the ring with three bats, including one cricket bat.

No decision is made as we fade to black with Aces and Eights heading back to their clubhouse.
