WWE Main Event: Chris Jericho's Highlight Reel leads to match
By NOLAN HOWELL - SLAM Wrestling

Chris Jericho made his return at WWE Royal Rumble last month, shocking many fans. Tonight on WWE Main Event, Jericho's trademark Highlight Reel mini-show is featured for the first time on the show. With The Miz injured and Elimination Chamber in just a few short days, Jericho booked a special new guest. Who could it be? All that and some in-ring action tonight!

We are on tape from Little Rock, Ark. Michael Cole and John Bradshaw Layfield have the call.

Chris Jericho makes his way out to the ring to host this episode of the Highlight Reel. Jericho tells the crowd that The Miz will not be joining him tonight after his injury at the hands of WWE United States Champion Antonio Cesaro. After some footage, Jericho announces that he has someone of even more value.

Ricardo Rodriguez hops in the ring and asks for the mic, announcing the entrance of WWE World Heavyweight Champion Alberto Del Rio.

Del Rio hits the ring. He thanks Jericho for having him, but he does not want to talk about Big Show, because the time for talk is over and he wants to defend his belt on Sunday. Jericho wishes him luck and explains his history with Del Rio's family, talking about his time in Mexico under the wing of Del Rio's father Dos Caras. However, Jericho tells Del Rio that, if he wins on Sunday, he will beat Del Rio for the belt he carries currently.

The two begin an exchange in Spanish, with Ricardo Rodriguez interrupting and talking gibberish, garnering a laugh from the crowd and the men in the ring.

Dolph Ziggler enters, flanked by Big E Langston and AJ Lee. Ziggler informs the group that they are wasting their time talking about the World Heavyweight Championship if they aren't talking about him. He asks AJ to remind him how many times they've counted him out, to which AJ replies somewhere around 80. Jericho remarks that AJ has kissed that many WWE wrestlers, to which Big E takes umbrage. Jericho taunts him, but Ziggler defuses it, saying he will cash in his contract to win the title. Del Rio thinks that Ziggler needs to be taught a lesson and he will do it right now.

Match is set and will begin after the break.
