Impact: The mayhem before Genesis

With TNA Genesis coming up this Sunday, the powdered kegs within TNA are about to explode. Tonight on TNA Impact Wrestling, we get a bit of a preview of Sunday's main event, as TNA World Heavyweight Championship Jeff Hardy finds a partner to team up with against his challengers Austin Aries and Bobby Roode. Plus, more developments featuring Aces and Eights, Bully Ray, the Hogan family, and many more!

Broadcast is live from the Impact Zone in Orlando, Fla. As usual, Taz, Mike Tenay, and Todd Keneley have the call.

Sting, Samoa Joe, and Kurt Angle kick us off. They hit the ring, with Sting holding his trademark bat. Sting says his comeback is just a beginning and that he'll be looking for D.O.C. at Genesis. Joe says he is ready to beat someone down and choke them out. Angle says that all of the masks will be coming off and that Aces and Eights will be exposed. Angle calls for Mr. Anderson to join the group in the ring.

Mr. Anderson obliges and grabs a mic. He asks where the group was when Aces and Eights beat him down just a few months ago. Anderson says he was fighting with the group, but they turned their backs on him. Angle says that Anderson will need to fight him if he is against the group. Anderson enters the ring and tells Angle he doesn't have to answer to him. Anderson says he never liked him, but Angle tells him the feeling is mutual and lays him out.

Announce crew previews tonight's action, including introducing Gut Check competitor Jay Bradley.

Brooke Hogan prepping for another confrontation between Bully Ray and Hulk Hogan tonight.

Match One: Zema Ion vs. Kenny King

This is another semifinal in the TNA X Division Tournament.

King works Ion into the corner. Ion floats over to the apron, but King puts him on the floor with an enzuigiri. Corkscrew to the outside misses for King. Ion with a flip dive to the outside. Action back in the ring and King drops Ion on the top rope. Spin kick from King grabs a nearfall. King with a snap suplex and he rolls through to land some punches. Ion turns the tide and grabs a DDT for a nearfall. King goes for The Royal Flush, but Ion rolls through for a nearfall. Ion with a huge slam that doesn't get the full count. King with a dropkick to Ion and he gets The Royal Flush.

Winner by pinfall: Kenny King

King says that he will be the TNA X Division Championship come Sunday.

Robbie E and Robbie T backstage. Robbie E has had a bad week with Jersey Shore being cancelled and now needs a tag partner for a mixed tag match against TNA Knockouts Champion Tara and Jesse. He recruits Miss Tessmacher. who wants nothing to do with him and says she will agree if she can tag with Robbie T.

Joseph Park is excited to be back in TNA as a full-fledged wrestler.

Match Two: Tara and Jesse vs. Miss Tessmacher and Robbie T

Robbie E joins his bodyguard at ringside.

Robbie T starts with Jesse. Jesse tries a sneak attack, but Robbie T handles him with a huge slam. Tara brought in and Miss Tessmacher goes to work with flying forearms. Stinkface in the corner makes Tara turn the match back over to the men. Robbie T with a choke on Jesse and tosses him into the corner. Huge powerbomb puts Jesse out.

Winners by pinfall: Miss Tessmacher and Robbie T

Robbie T and Tessmacher do a little Gangnam Style after the match and Tessmacher faints after puckering up with Robbie T.

Brian Cage is introduced and he will take on Jay Bradley later in a match between two new Gut Check competitors.

Match Three: Brian Cage vs. Jay Bradley

Stalemate between the two as they exchange grappling holds. Bradley gets the first nearfall with a rollup. The two exchanging strikes in the middle of the ring. Cage looks for a discus clothesline, but Bradley counters with a big boot to put Cage down. Bradley now working the power offense. Cage fighting back, but Bradley puts him down with a scoop slam. Knee drop by Bradley. Bradley looking for a lariat, but Cage with a dropkick that moves Bradley to the apron. Superplex from Cage and a flying elbow gets him a close nearfall.

Cage looks for another discus, but Bradley lands his huge Boom Stick Lariat to put Cage down for the count.

Winner by pinfall: Jay Bradley

Aces and Eights in their clubhouse. Mr. Anderson says that this isn't the time to have a good time. The VP decides to call a meeting at the group table. VP admonishes Mike Knox for losing his mask and tells him that he needs to make things right tonight.

Joseph Park will talk to Hulk Hogan after the break.

Park in the ring and Hulk Hogan soon comes out. Hogan congratulates him for graduating from wrestling school, but he has business and Park needs to make this quick. Park says that he thanks Hogan for inspiring him and thanks Danny Davis for teaching him all that he knows about wrestling. Park begs Hogan to let him join the roster. Hogan is unsure he has paid all of his dues, but Park says that he wants a match with a member of Aces and Eights. Hogan begrudgingly allows it and Park leaves the ring elated.

Brooke Hogan shows up on the video screen and asks why Hulk has not answered her calls or text. She says that she will meet him in the ring right now to discuss it.

Brooke makes her way to the ring. She is upset that Hulk has paid no attention to her numerous attempts to contact him. She says that their relationship could change if he doesn't reinstate Bully Ray. Hogan says he will not reinstate him and Brooke is distraught.

Bobby Roode and Austin Aries walking around backstage. They argue about their wardrobes tonight, also arguing who has the better shirt available. They try to bond over wanting to defeat Jeff Hardy, but they eventually crumble into another argument.

Video package hypes the TNA World Heavyweight Championship match at Genesis.

Match Four: Jeff Hardy and James Storm vs. Bobby Roode and Austin Aries

Roode starts off with Hardy. Roode with the advantage early. Shoulder block puts Hardy down. Hardy with a hip toss counter. Shoulder block from Hardy and Aries and Roode begin to bicker. Roode tags him in with a bit of spite. Hardy hyping the crowd. Aries works a front headlock, but Hardy turns it around with a headscissors takeover. Roode comes in to help Aries after an inverted atomic drop, but he gets one of his own. James Storm in and the two send Aries and Roode packing to the outside. The group bickers on the outside.

Hardy and Roode in the ring now. Hardy up top and Aries gets tossed to the floor after trying to distract Hardy. Roode crotches Hardy on the top rope and works him a bit before Aries makes a hard tag. Aries working the leg of Hardy by squatting on the knee. Aries keeping the champion down and Roode is brought in. Hardy has Roode pinned down after a rollup, but Aries talking to the ref. Ref counts the nearfall, but Roode comes back with a huge elbow for a nearfall of his own.

Aries is now in on a phantom tag as James Storm is tied up by the referee. Roode gets tagged back in as Aries gets in a few licks. Roode with a splash from the middle rope. Another phantom tag brings in Aries and he hits a corkscrew elbow drop from the middle rope for a nearfall. Roode is in and lands a knee drop on the chest of Hardy. The two still trying to one-up one another and Aries comes in. He hits a knee drop from the second rope. Aries taunting Roode and Roode with a hard tag. He goes all the way up top, but he lands on the boots of Hardy.

James Storm is in and comes in like a house on fire. Storm with flying forearms for all. Storm sends Roode into the corner and gets a backdrop. Aries tries to float over after being whipped into the corner, but Storm gets an Alabama Slam. Storm with a Closing Time on Aries after taking out Roode.

Kazarian and Christopher Daniels join the match and drag Storm outside. Storm seems to handle the group, but Hardy lands a Twist of Fate on Roode inside. He wants another, but Aries with the title to the back of Hardy's head. Aries and Roode fighting over the title belts and it seems that the two are ready for Sunday.

Winners by disqualification: Jeff Hardy and James Storm

Brooke on the phone with Bully Ray backstage and tries to persuade Bully to stay away from the Impact Zone. Bully won't be having that and we will see him later tonight.

Joey Ryan and Matt Morgan in the locker room. Chavo Guerrero and Hernandez see them through the trailer window and enter. A brawl ensues and the TNA World Tag Team Champions beat down Morgan and Ryan.

TNA Genesis card is previewed.

Match Five: Kurt Angle vs. Mr. Anderson

Angle awaits Anderson in the ring, but Mike Knox sneaks up from behind with the infamous hammer. Angle gets clubbed in the neck before Samoa Joe, Garrett Bischoff, and Wes Brisco come to make the save. Medics come to help out Angle.

There will be no match between the two.

Match Six: Sting vs. Mike Knox

Both men get their weapons taken from them and Knox uses this to beat the smaller man down. Sting is placed on the second rope and Knox squats onto Sting. Action goes outside and Sting tosses Knox into the steel steps. Pickup, Irish Whip, repeat as the process happens once again. And one more time for good measure. Sting bounces Knox's head off the railing. Stinger Splash to Knox on the railing.

We move back inside and Knox looking worn. Sting with a kick to the ribs. Knox wants his hammer, but Sting goes for the Scorpion Deathlock. Knox kicks him away and gets a splash in the corner, but Sting eats it and wants more. Stinger Splash in the corner on the back of Knox. Scorpion Deathdrop plants Knox on the mat.

Winner by pinfall: Sting

Sting wants to inflict some punishment on Knox with the hammer, but Aces and Eights comes out with Brooke Hogan hostage. Devon tells Sting not to make another move or there will be dire consequences. Bully Ray comes in to chase off the group with his trusty chain. Hulk Hogan stands atop the ramp and looks a bit surprised at the entire situation.

Hogan says that he should thank Bully, but Bully put her in danger. Bully says that Hulk is too wound up and he is crazy for taking it out on Sting as well. Bully says that he loves this business and he never thought he'd love anything as much as he loved pro wrestling. That is, until he found Brooke. Bully says that she came to him apologizing for Hulk. Bully is at a loss for words. Hogan throws down the microphone, but Bully is not deterred. Bully pulls Brooke in front of him and tells her that he is not very good with emotions, but he drops to one knee.

Bully with the marriage proposal and Brooke accepts. The two share a kiss and Bully announces that the wedding will be in the Impact Zone next week. Sting is trying to console Hulk, but the Hulkster leaves fuming.

The new couple stands happy in the ring as the broadcast ends.
