WWE NXT: Kidd wins battle, loses war
By MATT BISHOP - SLAM! Wrestling

Tonight on WWE NXT: From months, Leo Kruger has been a menace to all on NXT. This week, Tyson Kidd steps to the plate in hopes of gaining some measure of revenge on the savage Kruger for putting Trent Barreta out of action last week. Should be a good one!

And we are TAPED! from Orlando, Fla. Tony Dawson and William Regal and later Jim Ross are our hosts. This show is presented in WWEHD (TV-PG,V).

Match #1 - Michael McGillicutty (Champlin, Minn.) vs. Antonio Cesaro (Lucerne, Switzerland)

McGillicutty lights Cesaro up with two chops but Cesaro comes right back and gets McGillicutty on the canvas. But McGillicutty hits a big kick and then a backbreaker for two. But Cesaro gets McGillicutty on top of the ropes in the corner and runs in with a huge knee right to the gut.

Cesaro now targeting McGillicutty's mid-section here. Cesaro just yanks McGillicutty from the canvas like it's nothing and hits a gut-wrench suplex for two. McGillicutty, though, fires up and hits a Saito suplex and then a running elbow for two. Cesaro, though, pokes McGillicutty in the eye to end the rally, launches McGillicutty for a Very European Uppercut and then finishes him off with the Neutralizer.

Winner via pinfall: Antonio Cesaro

Match #2 - Axl Keegan (Boston, Mass.) vs. Bo Dallas (Brooksville, Fla.)

In his debut, Keegan goes to work with a chinlock and then drops Dallas with a back elbow. Keegan lands some shots but Dallas just asks for more then clocks Keegan with one of his own. He follows with a spear and that is all she wrote.

Winner via pinfall: Bo Dallas

Match #3 - Corey Graves (Pittsburgh, Pa.) vs. Yoshi Tatsu (Tokyo, Japan)

Graves goes right to work on Tatsu's knee and he is really working it. Tatsu tries to make a comeback, but it is rather brief, as his offense, based around kicks, just doesn't work very well when you only have one good leg. Graves locks in his submission, the 13 Step and Tatsu taps.

Winner via submission: Corey Graves

Match #4 - Gavin Reed (Swansea, Wales) vs. Roman Reigns (Pensacola, Fla.)

Total Reigns squash.

Match #5 - Leo Kruger (Johannesburg, South Africa) vs. Tyson Kidd (Calgary, Alberta)

Kidd holding his own, but Kruger takes the match over after Kidd misses a crossbody and goes flying right into the ring ropes. Kruger throwing a lot at Kidd, but Kidd is able to keep fighting. He gets a moment when he arm drags Kruger off the top rope. He hits a big kick on the outside and throws Kruger back in the ring and applies the Dungeon Lock and, I don't believe it, Kruger taps out!

Winner via submission: Tyson Kidd

After the match, Kassius Ohno comes to the ring and attacks Kidd and he and Kruger lay Kidd out.
