WWE NXT: Rollins in action against Slater
By MATT BISHOP - SLAM! Wrestling

Tonight on WWE NXT: While the rivalry rolls on between Richie Steamboat and Kassius Ohno, Trent Barreta makes his long-awaited return to square off with the angry Ohno. In other action, NXT Champion Seth Rollins is in action when he faces "The One Man Rock Band" Heath Slater. Should be a good one!

And we are TAPED! from Orlando, Fla. Tony Luftman, William Regal and later Jim Ross are our hosts. This show is presented in WWEHD (TV-PG,V).

Match #1 - Brodus Clay (Planet Funk) vs. Camacho (Juarez, Mexico)

Hunico gets a little bit of offense in, and Camacho manages to hit a Samoan drop on Clay after Clay missed a big corner splash, but that doesn't deter Clay much, as he sends Camacho flying to the outside on the pin attempt. Camacho tries to get jiggy with the girls when he's outside, but that doesn't end well. Clay chases him back in the ring and hits a headbutt, a suplex and a splash. Good night.

Winner via pinfall: Brodus Clay

Byron Saxton is here with Richie Steamboat, who is not medically cleared to compete here tonight. Steamboat doesn't get many words out before he is interrupted Kassius Ohno. Ohno says it's time for Steamboat to move on, so he brought him a towel so he could throw it in. Oh snap!

Match #2 - Kassius Ohno (Dayton, Ohio) vs. Trent Barreta (Mount Sinai, NY)

Barreta sends Ohno to the outside and then comes flying over the top with a huge flip dive that wipes out Ohno. They head back into the ring and go back-and-forth. Barreta lands some huge chops and a switch kick to the head. Barreta goes for another high-risk move but Ohno moves and stomps away at Barreta.

Now Steamboat comes to the ring and distracts Ohno, throwing the towel in his face. Ohno turns right around into a flying knee from Barreta and that does it. Fun match!

Winner via pinfall: Trent Barreta

Match #3 - Layla (Miami, Fla.) & Alicia Fox (Ponte Vedra Beach, Fla.) vs. Audrey Marie (Houston, Texas) & Paige (Norwich, England)

Things go south for the WWE divas when Layla accidentally boots Fox. But then Marie and Paige get in an argument when Marie tags herself in. The opening allows Layla to hit a crucifix pin and get the win.

Winners via pinfall: Layla & Alicia Fox

Antonio Cesaro is out and he cuts a promo and wants the national anthem of Switzerland played. Instead, he gets Tyson Kidd. Kidd tells Cesaro he wants a shot at his US title. Cesaro starts cutting a promo in something that's not English. So Kidd says he's got something in a universal language and slaps him across the face. Cesaro tries to attack, but Kidd ducks and drop kicks Cesaro out of the ring.

Match #5 - Heath Slater (Pineville, WV) vs. Seth Rollins (Davenport, Iowa)

Rollins hits a big springboard flying knee but can't only get a two count. He goes to the top but is briefly distracted by Vickie Guerrero, who has taken an interest in Slater on the night. Slater charges, but Rollins hops over him only to come back into a DDT. Slater into the cover but Rollins is able to kick out at two.

Slater goes to work with punches and fists to the back of the head. He lifts Rollins up, but Rollins slips out the back, hits a big kick and finishes him off with a big float over reverse DDT and that's it.

Winner via pinfall: Seth Rollins
