WWE NXT: Ohno, Steamboat go to battle
By MATT BISHOP - SLAM! Wrestling

Tonight on WWE NXT: For weeks, Kassius Ohno and Richie Steamboat have been at odds. Now, they finally meet inside the squared circle in tonight's main event. Also on the show, Michael McGillicutty looks to continue his hot run against Bo Dallas and Leo Kruger and Ryback are also in action. Should be a good one!

First off, let me say it's nice to be back in the saddle here with NXT. With WWE making the program available on Hulu Plus, it's nice for an American like me to be able to watch what apparently has become WWE's best show on a weekly basis again. So with that, let's get to it!

And we are TAPED! from Orlando, Fla. Byron Saxton, William Regal and later Jim Ross are our hosts. This show is presented in WWEHD (TV-PG,V).

Match #1 - Michael McGillicutty (Champlin, Minn.) vs. Bo Dallas (Brooksville, Fla.)

Battle of third generation superstars here. Dallas gets off to a nice start and McGillicutty wants to take a walk, only to run into a big clothesline on the floor. But McGillicutty turns the tide by throwing Dallas shoulder-first into the ring post.

McGillicutty in control. He gets into Dallas' face and gives him the bad mouth. McGillicutty just toying with him but Dallas responds with a right hand of his own and a sunset flip, but McGillicutty kicks out at two and hits Dallas with a flatliner for two. The two slug it out but it's McGillicutty who gets the best of it, hitting the McGillicutter and getting the pin.

Winner via pinfall: Michael McGillicutty

Match #2 - Jake Carter (Scottsdale, Ariz.) vs. Leo Kruger (Johannesburg, South Africa)

Kruger in control in the early going and he wants to tie Carter in knots. He grabs an arm and an ear at one point and then a modified camel clutch (without the humbling, though).

Carter, though, starts to fire up and goes to work with punches to toe body in the corner. He goes for a big splash in the corner but Kruger moves and hits a face-first neckbreaker and that is all she wrote.

Winner via pinfall: Leo Kruger

Match #3 - Ryback (Sin City) vs. Two Unnamed Victims (Parts Unknown)

You know the drill.

Winner via pinfall: Ryback

Match #4 - Kassius Ohno (Dayton, Ohio) vs. Richie Steamboat (Charlotte, NC)

Ohno in control and he is working Steamboat over. They engage in a big chop fest that starts with Ohno getting the better of it in the corner but Steamboat coming forward and backing Ohno up before Ohno uses a punch.

Steamboat comes back with a dropkick for two. Big kick to the face lands for Ohno but Steamboat is able to recover enough to kick out at the last moment. Ohno in the corner but Steamboat lands a superkick for two. He goes up top but misses a moonsault. Ohno with a rollup but Steamboat again barely gets his shoulders off the canvas in time.

Ohno stalking Steamboat now. He lands the big corner forearm and wants the big elbow but Steamboat ducks it and counters with an inside cradle and shocks Ohno and gets the three count.

Winner via pinfall: Richie Steamboat

Ohno is not happy and smashes Steamboat with an elbow to the back of the head. He locks in his submission hold and it takes five referees to get Ohno off him. And once they get him out of the ring, they have to continue holding him back from getting at Steamboat.
