Impact: Roster unites against Aces & Eights
By MATT BISHOP - SLAM! Wrestling

Tonight on Impact Wrestling: It's getting down to nitty-gritty time in the Bound For Glory Series as three critical matchups go down, including Bully Ray facing Jeff Hardy and AJ Styles taking on Christopher Daniels. Plus, we get the fallout from Hardcore Justice and a new knockout debuts. Should be a good one!

Tonight's show emanates LIVE! from the Impact Zone in Orlando. "The Professor" Mike Tenay and The Tazz are our hosts.

Austin Aries is out to start the show. He talks about how he's heard the word fluke for the last four weeks and he's erased any possible doubt. He declares himself the face of the company going forward and as long as he's running the show, this company will not be held hostage. He gives a message to Aces & Eights, then moves his focus to the Bound For Glory Series before he is interrupted by Jeff Hardy.

Hardy said he's been chasing the world title for the last year and Aries is going great. They both agree they'll tear it up when Hardy wins the BFG Series. Now Hardy moves his attention to Aces & Eights, who cost him 20 points at Hardcore Justice. Hardy wants them to come out. Instead, Bully Ray hustles to the ring and goes right up to Hardy. He says it's clear James Storm is behind Aces & Eights because of what happened to both of them at the PPV.

Aries interjects and reminds them he is there. And he speculates that maybe Ray is behind Aces & Eights since he's talking about them so much. Aries says regardless, whoever wins the BFG Series has to go through him and so far, nobody has been able to take that on.

At this time, Aces & Eights comes on the screen. They say they're all about two things: Luck and commitment and sometimes you roll the dice and you win, or it comes up as the dead man's hand. They promise to make their presence felt tonight.

Magnus gets in control after a back-and-forth start. He drives Joe into the canvas with a big slam but Joe kicks out at two. Magnus with some knees in the corner and he goes for the second-rope elbow but Joe moves. Magnus charges him and gets planted with a uranage. Joe stalks Magnus and applies the Coquina Clutch. Magnus rolls it through but Joe immediately counters with a cradle and gets the pin.

Winner via pinfall (7 points): Samoa Joe

After the match, Joe offers a handshake to Magnus but he declines. Joe leaves and Magnus snaps, coming up from behind and Joe blocks a chair shot with his elbow, but it still hurts him.

The new Knockouts Champion is making her way to the ring. Madison Rayne is here to speak to her subjects. She says we're going to party tonight to celebrate her win. She asks Earl Hebner to come to the ring to join the celebration. They hug before Brooke Hogan comes out to the stage to put a halt to the fun. She says she's known Earl Hebner her whole life and something shady is going on. He shakes his head no. Hogan says Hebner will no longer officiate any knockouts matches. And tonight, Miss Tessmacher will cash in her rematch and there will be a very special female referee.

Rayne goes nuts, saying Hogan is doing things in typical Hogan fashion, all talk, no action. She challenges Hogan to get in the ring to tell her about her changes. Hogan hits the ring and Rayne and Hebner bail. She yells at Rayne and two members of Aces & Eights come up from behind her. They stalk her when Bully Ray, Jeff Hardy, Austin Aries, Kurt Angle, Sting and James Storm hit the ring. Aces & Eights bails.

Sting has the mic. He says A&8 stepped over the line. He says he promised Hulk Hogan that Brooke Hogan would be protected and she will be. He says Aces & Eights likes to run in packs, and they've got a pack forming right now. Sting says next week is Open Fight Night and next week at 8 p.m., Aces & Eights needs to bring their back, he'll bring his and it's showtime.

We're back and Daniels has control with a headlock but it looks like a perilous advantage. It proves to be as such as Styles escapes and hits a dropkick. Now Styles locks in a death lock. Daniels bites Styles' hand to escape the hold. Daniels drops Styles throat-first on the top rope and hits a clothesline from behind. Now Daniels has taken the match over.

Daniels tries to earn a count out win but Styles is able to get back in the ring after a while. But Daniels locks in a standing Koji Clutch. Styles falls to the mat but now it's Styles who bites his way out. Snap suplex for Daniels. Daniels mounts Styles in the corner and unloads punches, but Styles responds with a power bomb out of the corner. Now Styles gets going. Springboard flying forearm hits and then a gut buster for two.

Daniels with a throat shot. Styles charges him but Daniels low-bridges him and Styles goes crashing to the floor. Styles draws Daniels to the outside. hits an elbow to the chest, pops back into the ring, hits the back ropes and comes over the top rope with a big flip dive, wiping out Daniels. Styles goes back in the ring, now we see Kazarian under the ring. Styles goes to suplex Daniels back into the ring from the apron but Kazarian holds his foot and Daniels gets the pin.

But wait, Hebner sees Kazarian celebrating on the outside and immediately waves it off. Daniels is indignant but the match goes on. Styles cracks Daniels with the Pele and that does it.

Winner via pinfall (7 points): AJ Styles

Bobby Roode makes his way to the ring. He says Sunday was a fluke. He notes he beat Austin Aries and the referee assigned to the match counted three and raised his hand in victory. He says he should be standing here as the World Heavyweight Champion. He starts talking about what the title meant to him. He says he looked in the mirror at home and there's only one person to blame for all this: Austin Aries. Well, him and Sting. And the referees. And all the fans.

He says people ask him, "What now?" He struggles to answer his own question. He just drops the mic and walks out.

Match #3 - TNA Knockouts Championship - (c) Madison Rayne (Seattle, Wash.) vs. Miss Tessmacher (Houston, Texas)

The special guest referee promised is Taryn Terrell, as in Tiffany from WWE. As in former ECW general manager. Some members of the crowd start chanting ECW.

Big spear lands for Tessmacher. Tessmacher gets going with dropkicks and clotheslines and tries a pinning combination for two. Tessmacher lands a boot but misses a crossbody from the second rope. Rayne goes for a cover but Terrell sees Rayne's feet on the ropes. Rayne argues with her and turns right around into Tessmacher's finish and that does it.

Winner via pinfall and NEW TNA Knockouts Champion: Miss Tessmacher

Match #4 - Bound For Glory Series - Bully Ray (New York City) vs. Jeff Hardy (Cameron, NC)

Back-and-forth match. Hardy goes to the top and hits the Swanton Bomb but Ray somehow kicks out of it. He rolls to the floor. Hardy slingshots his way to the floor but Ray pulls James Storm into the line of fine, as Storm is out waiting for Aces & Eights. Storm is down. Back in the ring, Hardy hits Whisper in the Wind and both men are down. Now Aces & Eights hit the ring. Well, two members. They grab Ray's chain but before they can do anything, Styles and Angle come flying down to chase them off.

Ray grabs Hardy but Hardy turns it into the Twist of Fate and gets a roll-up pin.

Winner via pinfall (7 points): Jeff Hardy

Ray lays out Hardy after the match and then gets in Storm's face. He shoves Storm and Storm goes to deliver a Last Call Superkick but Ray moves and he ends up hitting Hardy.
