Impact: Angle, Styles steal show with great match
By MATT BISHOP - SLAM! Wrestling

Tonight on Impact Wrestling: Aces & Eights is bringing a lot of paranoia to the Impact Wrestling roster. With James Storm being the suspected ringleader, he faces Bully Ray in Bound For Glory Series action, but the highlight of the show was the excellent BFG Series match between AJ Styles and Kurt Angle. Should be a good one!

Tonight's show emanates LIVE! from the Impact Zone in Orlando. "The Professor" Mike Tenay and The Tazz are our hosts.

Bully Ray is out to start the show and says he actually learned something from Joseph Park: If there's enough evidence stacked up against someone, they must be guilty. Ray says all the evidence points to James Storm in the Aces & Eights scandal. But first, he's going to beat him tonight, get his points, and go to Hardcore Justice and beat everyone there.

James Storm power walks to the ring. Storm says he didn't hear one fact come out of Ray's mouth. He's sick and tired of people pointing the finger at him, not believing him and he's sick and tired of being sick and tired. He says he's more worried about winning the Bound For Glory Series than organizing any attacks. Storm says he's wound up now and says he's drawing a line, so he's giving Ray to the count of three before he crosses it and puts his fist in Ray's face. Ray says to start counting, but when Storm hits three, Ray backs off and onto the apron.

Storm tells Ray to deliver the message that anybody who wants to fight him.

Then the Aces & Eights show up on the video board with muffled voices, saying Sting invited them. They say they're going to do a whole lot, but the leader says they do things on their terms.

Ray blows a gasket after this video, saying how can that not be Storm, it's gotta be him, etc.

Match #1 - Bound For Glory Series - Rob Van Dam (Battle Creek, Mich.) vs. Magnus (Norfolk, England)

Thrust kick catches Magnus and he wants a monkey flip, but takes far too much time gloating and Magnus clotheslines him as he comes in for it. Magnus can't capitalize, though, and RVD hits a spin kick. RVD lifts himself to the top and hits the Five Star Frog Splash and that does it.

Winner via pinfall (7 points): Rob Van Dam

Match #2 - TNA World Tag Team Championship - (c) Christopher Daniels (Los Angeles, Calif.) & Kazarian (Anaheim, Calif.) vs. Devon (New York City) & Garett Bischoff (Clearwater Beach, Fla.)

Bischoff finally gets the big tag to Devon and he comes in on the champs. Levels Daniels with a shoulder block and a neckbreaker for Kazarian. Big uranage connects on Kazarian. Devon hits a huge spear on Kazarian and then plants Daniels with a spinebuster. But as the referee tries to get Daniels out of the ring, Kazarian clocks Devon with the Television title behind the referee's back and that's enough to get the win.

Winners via pinfall and STILL TNA World Tag Team Champions: Christopher Daniels & Kazarian

An obscenely tan Robbie E is in the ring. He talks about how he's going to get 20 points at Hardcore Justice by putting Jeff Hardy through a table in their four-way tables match. He lists a bunch of reasons why he's better than Hardy and this brings Hardy out to the ring.

Robbie T tries to cut Hardy off but can't, so Hardy goes after E. He slaps the taste out of E's mouth. The most intense Hardy we've seen in a while here. He wants to go after him more before Robbie T comes back in the ring and cuts him off. T power bombs Hardy through the table and E celebrates.

Match #3 - Bound For Glory Series - AJ Styles (Gainesville, Ga.) vs. Kurt Angle (Pittsburgh, Pa.)

Angle goes to work with a rear headlock. Angle misses a charge into the corner but hits Styles with a tilt-a-whirl backbreaker and goes back to work with the headlock. Big collision and both men are down. Styles up and he goes to work with clotheslines and then a high backbreaker for two. Angle is able to counter Styles and hits the triple Germans. Styles, though, is able to recover and hits the Pele for two.

Styles picks up Angle and wants the Clash but Angle back drops Styles and follows with the Angle Slam for two. Straps come down and Angle briefly has the ankle lock until Styles pushes him off. Styles with a German suplex of his own but before he goes for another, Angle slips down and applies the ankle lock again. Styles escapes and hits the flying forearm. He is able to get the Styles Clash and Angle somehow kicks out at literally the last moment.

Styles goes to the top but Angle charges up and hits a belly-to-belly and this time it's Styles who kicks out at the last second. Styles down and Angle stirring. Angle pulls himself up and goes to the top rope and misses a moonsault as Styles rolls out of the way. Styles goes to the apron and goes for the springboard 450 Splash but Angle gets his knees up. Angle follows with the Angle Slam and that ends it.

Winner via pinfall (7 points): Kurt Angle

Another message from Aces & Eights is here and they say we'll find out tonight the next man to get the Dead Man's Hand.

Kim jumps Tessmacher as she's making her entrance. Kim hits the crossbody block in the corner and then steps on Tessmacher's throat. Body scissors for Kim but Tessmacher escapes, hits a series of clotheslines and a dropkick. Running butt bomb connects. Kim tries to springboard to the second rope, but Tessmacher cuts her off, grabs her and slams her face-first into the canvas and that does.

Winner via pinfall: Miss Tessmacher

After the match, Madison Rayne comes out. She's the No. 1 contender. She faces off with Tessmacher before grabbing Earl Hebner and making out with him.

Sting is out to officiate tonight's contract signing between Austin Aries and Bobby Roode.

Roode is angry with the language of the contract, which apparently states that if Roode loses Sunday, he won't get another shot as long as Aries is champion. Aries interrupts Roode's rant and offers an interesting opportunity: If Roode says yes to that stipulation, Aries will waive his rematch clause, so this will be the last time. Winner takes all.

Sting shakes hands with both men and declares we have a match. The two start getting a little agitated and seal the agreement with a handshake. Aries holds the title in Roode's face so Roode throws a glass of water in his face and takes off.

Match #5 - Bound For Glory Series - Bully Ray (New York City) vs. James Storm (Leiper's Fork, Tenn.)

Ray in control working on Storm's leg, but Storm turns that around on him, but Ray gets a rope break and levels Storm with a lariat for two.

Storm starts to fire up and hits a neckbreaker and a big backdrop. Kick to the head connects but Storm runs right into a uranage for two. Storm recovers and goes to the top rope and hits a crossbody for two. Storm goes back to the top and Ray crotches him and hits a few chops. Ray wants a superplex but Storm pushes him off and misses an elbow drop. Ray follows with a Bubba Bomb for two.

Ray wants to get some air now and misses a back splash. Storm wants the Last Call but Ray moves and eventually hits the Bubba Cutter and that does it!

Winner via pinfall (7 points): Bully Ray

Bully Ray wants Aces & Eights to come on down and get it on but instead, they come up on the screen and tell Bully he'll be seeing a lot more of them at the pay-per-view.
