MATT BISHOP - SLAM! Wrestling
Tonight on Impact Wrestling: The Bound For Glory Series continues on Open Fight Night with six matches with wrestlers calling each other out. It's also Gut Check and for the first time, it's a female competitor. We also get the big reveal in the Dixie Carter-AJ Styles saga and Austin Aries makes his decision. Should be a good one!
Tonight's show emanates LIVE! from the Impact Zone in Orlando. "The Professor" Mike Tenay and The Tazz are our hosts.
Hulk Hogan is out to start the show. He says when you make changes, you make friends and you make enemies. He talks about what happened to Sting last week and says he isn't going to give them any more publicity, but they will find out who they are and they will make it right for Sting.
He talks about how tonight, they have Open Fight Night and the Bound For Glory Series. But first, he wants his answer from Austin Aries.
Aries comes to the ring. He talks about the decision he has to make. He says the company was built on the X Division title and talks about how important the title. He's afraid that if he hands the title over, it means nothing. He says he came up with an idea, he likes to call it Option C, to where the belt can still mean a lot.
Hogan says he's not here to play games, so Aries better be one heck of a visionary with this Option C. Aries says he will relinquish the X Division title and face Bobby Roode, but only if Hogan agrees that every year at Destination X, the X Division champion will have the same choice he does. Hogan agree and shakes hands with Aries.
Here comes Roode and he's hot. He wants to know who Aries thinks he is coming out and dictating what's happening in his company. He says the X Division title means nothing to him. He tells Aries he just made the biggest mistake of his life. He says he's no X Division wrestler, he's God's gift to professional wrestling and he'll embarrass Aries.
Aries says this is Open Fight Night, so why doesn't Roode come down to the ring and do something about it? Roode comes down the ramp, Aries leaves the ring and they start brawling until they are broken up by the agents and referees.
