WWE NXT: Kidd, McGillicutty start new show off in style
By MATT BISHOP - SLAM! Wrestling

Tonight on WWE NXT: It's time for the "new NXT" and on this show, some of WWE's most underused talent interact with some of the company's best prospects. On this edition, we get introduced to some of those prospects while Michael McGillicutty and Tyson Kidd tear down the house in a thrilling main event. Should be a good one!

And we are TAPED! from Orlando, Fla. Jim Ross and William Regal are our commentators. This show is presented in WWEHD (TV-PG,V).

Ross is out to start the show. He welcomes everyone to the new beginning of NXT and welcomes the interim NXT GM, none other than "The American Dream" Dusty Rhodes.

Rhodes talks about how the electricity is in the building. He says tonight's main event is going to be Tyson Kidd against Michael McGillicutty and if you thought the last two years of NXT were wild and crazy, you ain't seen nothing yet.

Match #3 - Michael McGillicutty (Champlin, Minn.) vs. Tyson Kidd (Calgary, Alberta)

Kidd clotheslines McGillicutty over the top rope. He hits the back rope and comes through the ropes with a suicide dive that puts McGillicutty on his back.

We're back and Kidd is still in control. He tries to come into the ring, but McGillicutty hits him with a knee and then a draping neckbreaker for two. Kidd tries to rally but McGillicutty drills him in the back and puts him back on the canvas. McGillicutty loads Kidd up in the tree of woe. He hits some clubbing blows and then goes outside and grabs Kidd's neck and stretches his whole head back.

Kidd escapes the tree of woe and starts to fire up. He hits some kicks that have McGillicutty reeling. More kicks connect for Kidd. He heads to the apron and springboards back in but McGillicutty drop kicks him out of the air. McGillicutty crawls to cover but Kidd kicks out at two. McGillicutty puts Kidd on the top turnbuckle. He wants a superplex but Kidd headbutts him down and hits a moonsault but McGillicutty kicks out at two.

Kidd wants the Sharpshooter, but McGillcutty hangs onto the ropes. He kicks Kidd and hits a Saito suplex for two. Now McGillicutty goes for an applies the Sharpshooter. Kidd fights it and is able to make it to the ropes. They trade reversals and in there, Kidd is able to lock in the Dungeon Lock and McGillicutty taps.
