Smackdown: Orton battles Sheamus, Bryan gets edge on Punk

Tonight on WWE Friday Night Smackdown: We're two days away from Over the Limit and the title picture is heating up. After weeks of inactivity, the feud between CM Punk and Daniel Bryan finally gets moving as the devious Bryan sets a plan in motion. In the main event, Randy Orton faces Sheamus. Should be a good one!
And we are TAPED! from Hershey, Pa. Josh Mathews, Michael Cole and Booker T are our hosts. This show is presented in WWEHD (TV-PG, V)
The GM is here! John Laurinaitis is out. He says, because of the actions of the WWE Board of Directors, he is like a lamb being lead to slaughter. He says, although he is still as tough as he used to be, can still bench 250 pounds and more, he asked the Board to reconsider. They said no. He asks the fans to support him in this unfair and lopsided match. He isn't asking for cheers, instead, he's asking the fans to say a little prayer for him.
As he mourns, CM Punk's music hits. He says the people have been praying and finally, their prayers have been answered. He says Laurinaitis is going to be fired after his match with Cena and they are going to throw a party bigger than Mardi Gras. He talks about the situation with the Big Show from Monday and how he's been abusing his power. Laurinaitis says he's still the boss and can do whatever he wants, to Punk is going to face Kane one-on-one tonight.
Punk takes off and Laurinaitis goes on a tirade at the fans, saying his situation is their fault and he detests each and every one of them. He tells them they can all go to hell.
Match #1 - Kofi Kingston (Ghana, West Africa) & R-Truth (Charlotte, NC) vs. Titus O'Neil (Tampa, Fla.) & Darren Young (Miami, Fla.)
Kingston hits the big crossbody but Young and O'Neil take over after that. Kingston finally makes a tag to Truth, who comes in on Young. Truth hits the Lie Detector. He goes for a cover but O'Neil breaks up the pin only to be double dropkicked to the outside. Kingston dives onto him and Truth hits Young with Paydirt and that does it.
Winners via pinfall: Kofi Kingston & R-Truth
Match #2 - Damien Sandow (Palo Alto, Calif.) vs. Yoshi Tatsu (Tokyo, Japan)
Sandow talks about how he was subjected to an unworthy opponent a few weeks ago and he finds himself in the same situation this week. He calls Tatsu an unworthy opponent and says he cannot and will not demean himself by engaging this ignoramus. He's doing this, of course, for the well being of all of the fans. You're welcome!
Tatsu grabs the mic and calls Sandow a chicken and starts clucking. This enrages Sandow and he runs to the ring and attacks Tatsu from behind and lays him out. Then his music plays.
Match #2 - Zack Ryder (Long Island, NY) vs. Daniel Bryan (Aberdeen, Wash.)
Bryan all over Ryder. He works the arm and then goes for a kick but eats an elbow. Ryder hits a dropkick from the second rope and follows that with the Broski Boot but Bryan moves. Bryan with a big Yes Kick to the head and he quickly applies the Yes Lock and Ryder immediately taps.
Winner via submission: Daniel Bryan
Match #3 - CM Punk (Chicago, Ill.) vs. Kane (Hell, Fire & Brimstone)
Punk lays in some kicks and then hits a neckbreaker. He hits the corner knee and goes for the bulldog but Kane pushes him into the corner. Kane charges but eats a big boot and Punk goes to the second rope and hits the bulldog.
Kane shoves him off on the cover. Punk hits the springboard clothesline and goes for the GTS, but his ribs, which had been hurt earlier in the match, give out. Kane hits a big boot and takes Punk to the top but Punk fights him off, rises up and hits the big elbow for two. As Kane kicks out, Punk transitions in the Anaconda Vice but Punk can't secure it. Kane hits a sidewalk slam for two.
Kane to the top and he hits the flying clothesline. He goes for the choke slam but Punk kicks him in the head and that sends him to the outside. Punk follows with a suicide dive, but Daniel Bryan, who was on commentary, comes at him with a chair. But instead of hitting Punk, he turns around and hits Kane.
Winner via disqualification: Kane
Bryan drops the chair and takes off. Punk very briefly gives chase with chair in hand. Kane looks up and sees Punk with the chair and attacks him. He beats the crap out of Punk and then lays waste to him with the chair. He throws Punk back in the ring and hits not one, but two choke slams on the WWE Champion.
Match #4 - Santino Marella (Calabria, Italy) vs. Cody Rhodes (Marietta, Ga.)
It quickly becomes Cobra time but Rhodes greets it with a dropkick. Rhodes with some strikes. He charges Santino, but he does the splits and catches Rhodes coming back with the Cobra and that does it.
Winner via pinfall: Santino Marella
Match #5 - Randy Orton (St. Louis, Mo.) vs. Sheamus (Dublin, Ireland)
Both men down after a superplex. They trade strikes back-and-forth and Sheamus goes for the Brogue Kick out of nowhere but Orton side steps and Sheamus gets hung up in the ropes. Orton hits the draping DDT. He goes for the RKO but Sheamus slips it. Sheamus goes for the Brogue Kick again but Orton ducks. Orton tries once more for the RKO but Sheamus counters into a roll-up and gets the three count.
Winner via pinfall: Sheamus
Orton offers his hand to Sheamus after the hard-fought match and notes Sunday is going to be a different story. Sheamus shakes his hand. Orton goes to walk away and unsurprisingly turns right back and hits the RKO.
