WWE NXT: Drama, drama, drama
MATT BISHOP - SLAM! Wrestling
Tonight on WWE NXT: The drama continues to unfold as yet another NXT Superstars is picked off by the mystery attacker while two fired wrestlers return to the show in a security role. In the main event, Tyson Kidd teams with Percy Watson to face Michael McGillicutty and Johnny Curtis. Should be a good one!
And we are TAPED! from Roanoke, Va. Josh Mathews and William Regal are our commentators and Matt Striker is our host. This show is presented in WWEHD (TV-PG,V).
Striker and Regal are in the ring. Striker announces Percy Watson and Tyson Kidd will face Michael McGillicutty and Johnny Curtis.
Now we get to the attacks that have been happening on NXT. Regal clears both Watson and McGillicutty and says he has hired a security firm on the advice of Johnny Ace who will patrol backstage. Now this security firm comes out and it's none other than Curt Hawkins and Tyler Reks. They assure Regal they'll be good. Hawkins says he and Reks are the eyes and ears of NXT and this show will finally have some change.
Match #1 - Tamina Snuka (Fiji Islands) vs. Maxine (Tampa, Fla.)
Maxine in control, but the crowd tries to rally behind Snuka, but Maxine uses a full nelson to retain control. Now Maxine locks in the standing guillotine choke. Tamina runs her into the corner twice to break the hold and starts firing up. Jumping clothesline connects and then a Samoan drop. Snuka goes to the top, but misses the Superfly Splash. Maxine locks in a Dragon Sleeper and Snuka has to tap.
Winner via submission: Maxine
Match #2 - Yoshi Tatsu (Tokyo, Japan) vs. JTG (Brooklyn, NY)
JTG is featuring a new look via Alicia Fox with a new hair style and wearing trunks and boots instead of jeans and work boots.
JTG in complete control here until he misses a knee-drop. Tatsu gets going with some kicks. He hits a snap mare roll followed by a kick to the face for two. JTG, though, counters Tatsu and hits the Mug Shot and that does it.
Winner via pinfall: JTG
Johnny Curtis and Maxine are backstage when they run into Tyler Reks and Curt Hawkins. Reks says the four of them should put their differences aside and work together. They agree and get a key to their handcuffs to unhook themselves. Curtis is put off by Maxine's smiling act, saying he's weird, but even her smiling constantly is too weird for him.
Kaitlyn and Percy Watson are walking backstage talking about the attacks. Derrick Bateman walks up and says Watson can't be trusted right now considering his stuff is around the scene of the crime. Kaitlyn says Bateman has been a jerk since his match on Smackdown. Bateman says after waiting five months, he was embarrassed. He takes off. Watson says he's going to go talk to him. Kaitlyn starts to walk away but hears Bateman scream. She runs over there and Bateman is holding his knee. She asks him if Watson came to see him and he says no, but Watson's glasses there suggest otherwise.
Match #3 - Michael McGillicutty (Champlin, Minn.) & Johnny Curtis (Westbrook, Maine) vs. Tyson Kidd (Calgary, Alberta) & Percy Watson (Miami, Fla.)
McGillicutty and Curtis control Kidd, working extremely well together as a team. McGillicutty tags Curtis and then backslides Kidd only to have Curtis come over the top rope with a leg drop. Great double-team maneuver. Kidd tries to fire up. He hits some kicks and crawls to Watson but McGillicutty grabs his leg. Kidd reverses and kicks McGillicutty away and brings Watson in.
Watson on fire with some dropkicks and a clothesline. He hits a throw and follows that with the Showtime Splash but Curtis breaks up the pin. Kidd back in and kicks Curtis right in the back of the head. Watson grabs McGillicutty and goes for the flapjack but McGillicutty escapes. He goes after Watson in the corner but misses. Watson grabs him on the rebound and hits the flapjack and that does it.
Winners via pinfall: Percy Watson & Tyson Kidd
