Impact: Roode, Storm get intense ahead of title match
By MATT BISHOP - SLAM! Wrestling

Tonight on Impact Wrestling: The road to Lockdown comes down to this final episode of the show. We find out who Eric and Garett Bischoff have picked for their respective Lethal Lockdown teams, plus we get the final encounter between former tag team partners Bobby Roode and James Storm in anticipation of their world title match Sunday.

Tonight's taped show emanates from the Impact Zone in Orlando. "The Professor" Mike Tenay and The Tazz are our hosts.

Eric Bischoff is out to start the show. He says his name is going to live on long after these people are dead and gone. He's a legacy in this business, he says. He tells us what his Lethal Lockdown team is going to be. Here they are: Bully Ray, Gunner, Kazarian and Christopher Daniels.

Ray grabs the mic and fawns over Bischoff. He says Bischoff made one mistake, though, and he's going to call him out on it now. That one mistake, he says, is Garett Bischoff.

Bischoff says tonight there will be a best-of-three series to determine who will have the man-advantage, so let's do it.

Garett comes out and welcomes the first member of his team, who will face Gunner right now.

Match #1 - Mr. Anderson (Green Bay, Wisc.) vs. Gunner (Atlanta, Ga.)

It's Anderson early, but then Gunner takes over. Anderson goes for a brief walk, but Gunner is all over him on the outside. He goes to slam him on the floor, but Anderson slips out and sends Gunner into the post. Now Anderson's all over Gunner on the outside and they head back into the ring.

Anderson goes for the plunge but Gunner counters with a roll-up with the tights for two. Anderson with a clothesline and a series of elbow drops, but Gunner with some under-handed tactics to take over again. Gunner again tries to use the trunks but can't get it. Now they trade blows. Gunner charges Anderson in the corner but he moves and Gunner goes into the post. Anderson sends Gunner into the post and then stomps him down in the corner. He's all over and won't break, forcing the referee to call for the bell.

Winner via disqualification: Gunner

The Motor City Machine Guns are in the ring. They go over some facts about them and why they will beat Samoa Joe and Magnus for the TNA World Tag Team Championships on Sunday at Lockdown. This brings the champs out.

Magnus says they have his respect for coming back from the injuries they have, but he and Joe are the best team going today. Magnus says the Guns look ready and they are always ready, so they can go right now. As they scurry to get going, Mexican America comes out. Anarquia says they were champs for six months and are being left out of the equation. One of them each attacks both teams and get sent packing in short order.

These two really going at it. This is fun. Daniels tries a roll-up but is caught holding the tights. Aries tries the same and is caught. Daniels drops Aries and goes for the BME but misses. Aries to the top and hits a missile dropkick. He hits a corner dropkick and follows with the brainbuster and gets the win.

In the ring, Styles hits the Pele for two as the referee was distracted. Eric Bischoff gives Ray his chain. Styles comes off for the springboard forearm but runs right into the fisted chain and that does it.

Then Roode speaks ill of Storm's wife and kids.
