WWE NXT: McGillicutty coming for Kidd
By MATT BISHOP - SLAM! Wrestling

Tonight on WWE NXT: Well, WrestleMania is done and it's back to normal on NXT. On this edition, Michael McGillicutty looks to gain a rematch with Tyson Kidd when he faces Derrick Bateman. Plus, the Saga of Matt Striker receives some clarity. Should be a good one!

And we are TAPED! from Orlando, Fla. Josh Mathews and William Regal are our commentators and Matt Striker is our host. This show is presented in WWEHD (TV-PG,V).

Match #1 - Percy Watson (Miami, Fla.) vs. Tyler Reks (Parts Unknown)

Reks in control in the rematch he wanted after dropping a decision to Watson a few weeks back. He works a headlock. Watson tries to fire up but Reks cuts him off. Reks works a hammerlock. Watson, though, makes a comeback. He hits the Showtime Splash but misses a corner charge. Reks goes for a backdrop but Watson turns it into a roll up and gets the win.

Winner via pinfall: Percy Watson

Reks and Curt Hawkins corner and threaten Watson after the match, but Regal gets the mic and says if they touch Watson, they'll be suspended for six weeks. They back off.

Natalya and Michael McGillicutty meet up backstage. He's trying to get her involved in his issue with Tyson Kidd, but she refuses and tells him to never bring her family up again.

Match #2 - Natalya (Calgary, Alberta) vs. Kaitlyn (Houston, Texas)

Natalya in control. She works an armlock, but Kaitlyn escapes, only to be thrown down by her hair to the canvas. Kaitlyn fires up and hits a running crossbody for two. Kaitlyn hits a double leg and locks in the Sharpshooter and Kaitlyn wastes no time tapping out.

Winner via submission: Natalya

Darren Young is awkwardly spitting game with Tamina Snuka backstage. Oh, this was bad. Titus O'Neil makes fun of him for how bad his game was after. This was funny.

Match #3 - Titus O'Neil (Tampa, Fla.) & Darren Young (Miami, Fla.) vs. Jimmy & Jey Uso (San Francisco, Calif.)

O'Neil and Young briefly in control, but that doesn't last long as the Usos hit the big splash and that does it.

Winners via pinfall: The Usos

Johnny Curtis and Maxine are looking for Striker's kidnappers. They go to the basement and find Reks and Hawkins. They admit they're the kidnappers and say they'll pin it on them if Maxine doesn't get Regal off their backs. Reks and Hawkins leave and Curtis and Maxine talk about making it weird. Awesome. Then they go back to commentary and Regal comments on it. Even more awesome.

Match #4 - Derrick Bateman (Cleveland, Ohio) vs. Michael McGillicutty (Champlin, Minn.)

Bateman in control, sending McGillicutty to the outside and hitting a dropkick, but McGillicutty takes over, working a headlock in the centre of the ring. Bateman, though, starts a comeback and has McGillicutty on the ropes. He hits a running neckbreaker for two. Big corner splash connects for Bateman. He goes for the top but misses a flying leap. McGillicutty, in a sign of disrespect to Tyson Kidd, tries to go for the Sharpshooter, but Bateman turns it into a small package for two. McGillicutty, though, gets up and hits the McGillicutter and that does it.

Winner via pinfall: Michael McGillicutty
