WWE NXT: Hunico makes long-awaited show debut
By MATT BISHOP - SLAM! Wrestling

Tonight on WWE NXT: It's WrestleMania week, which means there isn't a whole lot of action on NXT. Although a good bulk of the show was video packages, we still get two matches and an interesting backstage skit. In the ring, Smackdown's Hunico makes his NXT debut when he faces Derrick Bateman and in the main event, Titus O'Neil takes on Jey Uso. Should be a good one!

And we are TAPED! from Atlanta, Ga. Josh Mathews and William Regal are our commentators and Matt Striker is our host. This show is presented in WWEHD (TV-PG,V).

Match #1 - Hunico (Mexico) vs. Derrick Bateman (Cleveland, Ohio)

Hunico dumps Bateman into the corner and then hits a nice suplex. Hunico all over Bateman here. Hunico with a body slam and he goes to the second rope, but Bateman drop kicks him out of mid-air and then lifts him into the top turnbuckle. Now Bateman's starting to fire up.

Rolling neckbreaker connects for two for Bateman. Bateman takes Hunico's back, but Hunico lands some elbows to break the grip. Now he's putting the boots to him. He follows that with his finish and that does it. Hunico picks up the win.

Winner via pinfall: Hunico

Johnny Curtis and Maxine are backstage talking about the whereabouts of Matt Striker. Maxine yells at him for not finding anything out. Then they run into Percy Watson and Alex Riley. Watson is angry about Maxine stealing his spotlight during his match by getting all over Regal. Then they run into Natalya and Tyson Kidd. They are super paranoid. Now it's Justin Gabriel. Then they see Titus O'Neil and Darren Young and Young has gotten Tamina (not pictured) a coconut tree. O'Neil suggests he wine and dine her, take her to McDonalds or something. Young says he can't do that to Tamina. Now Maxine comes out and starts accusing O'Neil of doing it. O'Neil and Young go away laughing when Maxine gets a text from someone saying they are one step ahead of them and they'll get Striker back after WrestleMania.

Match #2 - Titus O'Neil (Tampa, Fla.) vs. Jey Uso (San Francisco, Calif.)

O'Neil in control. He levels Uso with a back elbow but Uso comes off the top with a crossbody for two. Uso charges O'Neil, but O'Neil grabs him and drops him on the top rope. He follows that up with a power move for two. O'Neil works a chin lock. Uso escapes briefly, but runs into a back elbow that puts him back down. O'Neil off the ropes but Uso backdrops him and starts to get going.

Uso with a kick followed by an uppercut and a flying forearm. He follows that up with the running butt bomb for two. Uso goes to the top for the big splash but O'Neil gets his knees up and then hits the Clash of the Titus and that is all she wrote.

Winner via pinfall: Titus O'Neil
