Impact: Hogan returns, Storm wrestles twice
By MATT BISHOP - SLAM! Wrestling

Tonight on Impact Wrestling: For the first time, Impact comes to us from overseas as London sees Hulk Hogan's return to the company after a several month absence, as he is revealed as Garett Bischoff's trainer. Elsewhere, James Storm's request to face both Bobby Roode and Bully Ray is granted, so he faces both men in singles action.

Tonight's taped show emanates for the first time from Wembley Arena in London, England. "The Professor" Mike Tenay and The Tazz are our hosts.

Bobby Roode and Bully Ray are out to start the show. They gloat about taking out Jeff Hardy last week, causing him to miss this show. Roode gets some cheap heat by saying he's happy to be back in Ireland. He calls out James Storm.

This brings Storm out. He doesn't even get a word in before the man with the plan, the man in charge, Sting, makes his way to the ring to a raucous ovation. He says Hardy is coming along well and books Roode, Ray, Storm and Hardy in a four-way for the title at the next pay-per-view. He adds, per Storm's request, that Storm will face Roode first, then Ray second.

Match #1 - Buckingham Brawl - Samoa Joe (Isle of Samoa) & Magnus (Norfolk, England) vs. Matt Morgan (Fairfield, Conn.) & Crimson (Brooklyn, NY)

So the rules here are the winners of the coin toss, Joe and Magnus, will both be able to be in the ring while the other team will have to abide by normal tag team rules.

The crowd loves Joe and Magnus and they are happy because they are in control on Crimson here. Joe misses a corner back splash and Magnus jumps into an exploder suplex, which allows Crimson to bring in Morgan. He hits Crimson with a fallaway slam and then a corner clothesline. He follows with a side slam but Joe breaks up the pin. Crimson spears Joe and takes him to the outside while Magnus and Morgan exchange punches. Morgan with a clothesline. He loads up for the Carbon Footprint but Magnus moves. Joe comes in and catches Morgan with a kick in the corner. He follows that with a snap mare into an elbow drop from Magnus. That is all she wrote as the crowd erupts.

Winners via pinfall: Magnus & Samoa Joe

Eric Bischoff is out. He, of course, is talking about his son Garett. He says he's going to burst his bubble with a dose of reality and calls Garett to the ring. He tells Garett to enjoy the moment because it's going to be his last. Bischoff calls Garett's trainer a coward who won't do anything for him. He says it's a bad choice and he's disappointed in him.

He says if Bischoff has such a big problem with his trainer, why doesn't he take it up with him? Bischoff says he's not going to travel all the way to London to back him up. Garett then takes a phone call and doesn't look happy. Bischoff starts gloating. Garett then lights up and says his trainer is here in the building and wants to see Bischoff later tonight.

Match #2 - Mark Haskins (London, England) vs. Austin Aries (Minneapolis, Minn.)

Haskins goes to the outside and Aries comes off the top with a big double ax-handle. Crowd loves Aries. Slingshot senton and an elbow for Aries. Aries loads Haskins up on the top but Haskins shoves him off, only to have Aries crotch him. Aries misses a dropkick and Haskins fires up. He hits a monkey flip and goes for another, but Aries holds on. They trade moves and Haskins hits a jumping crossbody for two.

He goes to the top and completely botches a shooting star press. Like, bad. Real bad. Brock Lesnar style. He slipped at the very last second it looked like. Aries kicks him, hits a brainbuster and then makes him tap with the Horns of Aries.

Winner via submission: Austin Aries

We're back and Roode is in control. He hits a flapjack for two. Roode with waist control but Storm elbows his way out. They trade shots and Storm rolls Roode up for two. Roode goes to the second turnbuckle but Storm clocks him and stops him dead in his tracks. Storm goes up with him and hits a 'rana that sends Roode flying. Storm with the backstabber. He goes to the top and hits a big elbow drop for a near fall.

They trade some reversals and Roode locks in the crossface in the middle of the ring. Storm thinks of tapping but Storm is able to roll through and reach the ropes. But the damage was done. Storm counters Roode and can't complete the Eye of the Storm as Roode slips out and hits the Perfect Plex for two, as Storm barely kicks out in time.

Frustrated, Roode goes to the outside and grabs his championship belt. He pushes the referee and charges at Storm, but runs right into the Codebreaker. But as he loads up for the Last Call, Bully Ray grabs his leg behind the referee's back. Roode hits a spear and that's enough.

Kim in control now, working over Tara's lower back. Kim with a Dragon Sleeper but Tara works to a vertical base. Any momentum is short-lived and she hits a neckbreaker for two. Kim goes for a missile dropkick but Tara moves.

Tara tries to get going. She hits a snap suplex and a big back drop. Kim charges her but runs right into a scoop slam. Rayne jumps on the apron and Tara clocks her. Rayne gets up and enters the ring and goes to hit Tara, but she moves and she clobbers Kim instead. Tara disposes of Rayne, grabs Kim and hits the Widow's Peak. Good night now.

Winner via pinfall: Tara

Garett Bischoff is out. Before he can introduce his trainer, he is interrupted by his father, Eric, and Gunner. Bischoff claims they have spies and his trainer isn't here, he isn't coming. Of course, that's the cue for Hulk Hogan's music to hit. Here comes the Hulkster.

Gunner charges him but Hogan Hulks Up and he and Garett take turns punching him. He bails, leaving Bischoff in the ring. Bischoff, though, is saved by Gunner who pulls him out of the ring. Play Hogan's music.

Match #5 - Bully Ray (New York City) vs. James Storm (Leiper's Fork, Tenn.)

Storm's ribs are taped following his first match of the night, making for a real nice target for Ray.

Ray all over Storm, really working said ribs. He hits two elbow drops and then whips Storm into the corner, where he just collapses. Ray puts his knee in the small of Storm's back and pulls up on his arm at the same time. Ray hits a splash. He brings Storm into the corner and hits a hard chop and then a suplex. Ray goes to the second turnbuckle and goes for a back splash but Storm moves.

Storm starts to fire up with some punches and clotheslines. Storm snaps Ray's neck on the top rope and hits a crossbody block from the top for two. Storm hits the ropes but runs right into a side slam from Ray for two. In the ensuing spot, the referee ends up getting bumped, so Bobby Roode enters the ring, only to be chased off by Sting. Both men rise and Storm hits the Last Call Superkick and gets the pin.

Winner via pinfall: James Storm
