WWE NXT: Chaos continues as rivalries heat up
By MATT BISHOP - SLAM! Wrestling

Tonight on WWE NXT: Finally, some clarity. The love triangle between Derrick Bateman, Maxine and Johnny Curtis gets some explanation, but in the end, nothing is really resolved. So that's good. Elsewhere, Titus O'Neil and Darren Young have a verbal sparring battle that ends in one of them losing their cool. Should be a good one!

And we are TAPED! from Raleigh, NC. Josh Mathews and Matt Striker are our commentators and Striker is our host. This show is presented in WWEHD (TV-PG,V).

Match #1 - Tyler Reks (Laguna, Calif.) & Curt Hawkins (Queens, NY) vs. Trent Barreta (Mount Sinai, NY) & Yoshi Tatsu (Tokyo, Japan)

Hawkins and Reks control Tatsu but he is able to get the tag to Barreta. He comes in on fire and hits a neckbreaker. He goes to the top and hits a big crossbody but Reks breaks up the fall. Tatsu comes in and looks for a clothesline but Reks ducks it and sends him over the top. Barreta sends Reks packing and he and Hawkins go back at it and Barreta is able to sneak in an Oklahoma roll and get the pin.

Winners via pinfall: Trent Barreta & Yoshi Tatsu

It's time for The Showtime with Percy Watson. He's here to get to the bottom of the situation with Derrick Bateman, Maxine and Johnny Curtis.

Bateman comes out and says all women are insane. He says if anybody thinks anything happened between him and Maxine's mom, they're crazy. This brings Johnny Curtis out and he claims Bateman took off with Maxine's mom. Curtis says Bateman is paranoid because of what JTG said. Now Watson says he has JTG waiting to come out. He asks JTG why he told Bateman that Maxine left with Curtis when he really didn't. JTG spills the beans and tells them he did it because Curtis paid him to do so.

This brings Maxine out. She tells them all to shut up and says she's tired of both Bateman and Curtis. She tells them to shove it when the sun doesn't shine and takes off.

Bateman says he can't understand how anyone wouldn't want to spend their life with her. Curtis stands behind him and tells him he's old news. Bateman decks him and takes off to the back looking for Maxine. Watson starts trash talking him and they brawl. Of course, Striker stands up and books them in a match tonight.

Match #2 - Jey Uso (San Francisco, Calif.) vs. JTG (Brooklyn, NY)

JTG in control early. He works over Uso but runs into a flying forearm and that turns thats around for Uso. He helps himself up in the corner and avoids the charging JTG. JTG hits a boot to the midsection but can't convert and runs right into a superkick. That's it.

Winner via pinfall: Jey Uso

Earlier today, Titus O'Neil spoke with Striker backstage. He apologies for letting his emotions get the best of him. Striker says it's OK. He says he wants to go out and make things right because he wants to set a good example.

Bateman runs into Maxine backstage and says love is a battlefield and he is going to marry her before the end of the show. He walks off and up comes Curtis. He plants a big kiss on her. She is frustrated by both men.

Match #3 - Percy Watson (Miami, Fla.) vs. Johnny Curtis (Westbrook, Maine)

Watson with a throw that sends Curtis flying. He starts feeling it and hits the Showtime Splash for two. Watson goes after Curtis in the corner and hits a clothesline but then eats a boot. Curtis gains the edge with a flatliner DDT and a power lariat. He gets a front headlock and then hits a Michinoku Driver and gets the pin.

It's time for our main event face off between Titus O'Neil and Darren Young. O'Neil is out first and apologizes to the WWE Universe and then his two sons for his actions. He is giving a feel-good speech when Young interrupts. Young says the people know he runs NXT.

Young tells O'Neil that O'Neil is an ex-football player trying to be something that he's not. O'Neil says plenty of people have come to WWE from football. He says he's trying to apologize and he's not going to let Young push his buttons. Young pokes him in the chest and tells him he doesn't have it. O'Neil warns Young not to put his hands on him and drops his mic and goes to leave.

Young stops him and calls him a loser. He says he's an NXT failure while poking him in the chest. O'Neil tries to leave and Young shoves him from behind. O'Neil turns around and spears him and then throws him to the outside by whipping him into the corner. O'Neil goes outside and throws Young into the dasher and walks away.
