ROH: Can the ANX prove themselves?
By MATT MACKINDER - SLAM! Wrestling

Tonight on Ring Of Honor, we have a couple tag team matches. What is tag team wrestling, you ask? Why it's something ROH has that is as strong as ever, that's what.

From the Davis Arena in Louisville, Ky., Kevin Kelly and Nigel McGuinness are ringside and to the squared circle we go!

Match #1 - Cedric Alexander & Caprice Coleman vs. The Bravado Brothers (Harlem & Lancelot)

A great opener. The crowd seems dead, but Harlem gets them riled up when he yells out that he doesn't look like Justin Bieber. Easy now. I'd expect that on Raw, but not here. Down, boy.

The match itself has several decent spots and lots of double-teaming. One of those double-team moves has Alexander lift Harlem up in a gut-wrench and Coleman runs up and they both drive Harlem into the mat Dominator-style.

Winners via pinfall: Cedric Alexander & Caprice Coleman

Someone named the "Psychadelic Superstar" Chris Silvio (a cheap Macho Man Randy Savage/Austin Idol rip-off) is backstage hyping his match up next with TJ Perkins. So does Perkins. They both use various phrases associated with lightning. Mic work needed here.

Match #2 - TJ Perkins vs. "The Psychadelic Superstar" Chris Silvio

Not a bad match here. Perkins comes off the top with the knees to the chest and then drills the Detonation Kick (fireman's carry and drop into a kick to the head) for the 1-2-3.

Winner via pinfall: TJ Perkins

The "Inside ROH" segment recaps the World TV title picture and Eddie Edwards' training progress with Dan "The Beast" Severn.

ROH World champion Davey Richards will face Michael Elgin next week in a Proving Ground match. Davey discusses it and yadda, yadda, yadda, says he'll win. And he's probably right.

Match #3 - Proving Ground Match - ROH World Tag Team Champions World's Greatest Tag Team (Charlie Haas & Shelton Benjamin) vs. The All Night Express (Kenny King & Rhett Titus)

Great match here and it goes pretty much the full 15 minutes. No complaints here.

The Briscoes come out and Jay drills Shelton with a chair to the back on the outside. Haas is inside and has no clue. King puts Haas over his knee and down comes Titus with a knee for the duke.

Winners via pinfall: The All Night Express

Benjamin gets attended to on the floor and the ANX claim they didn't do anything. Kelly asks for more help as we go to a commercial. Once we're back, Haas is livid and says he wants the Briscoes and he doesn't care if it's a 2-on-1. He calls Shelton his brother and took Russ' place when he passed away. If I didn't know any better, I'd think Haas was legitimately PO'd.

WEEKLY DISCLAIMER: Great show again tonight! ROH is wrestling. I mean, WRESTLING. They don't need the word "entertainment" in the name of the company to let you know what it's supposed to do for you. It just happens naturally. And yes, I say this every week.

'Til next week, folks.
