WWE NXT: Smackdown match at stake for main event winner
By MATT BISHOP - SLAM! Wrestling

Tonight on WWE NXT: Our three remaining rookies, Titus O'Neil, Darren Young and Derrick Bateman, have some big stakes this week. The winner of tonight's main event triple threat match will earn a match on Smackdown, although we don't really know when. Personally, I'm still waiting for Johnny Curtis to get his tag title shot with R-Truth. Should be a good one!

And we are TAPED! from Charlotte, NC. Josh Mathews and Matt Striker are our commentators and Striker is our host. This show is presented in WWEHD (TV-PG,V).

Match #1 - Tyler Reks (Laguna, Calif.) vs. Percy Watson (Miami, Fla.)

Reks tries to charge Watson in the corner but Watson moves and Reks goes shoulder-first into the ring post. Watson hits a big boot and then two dropkicks. He follows that with a hip-toss and then the Showtime Splash for two. Reks, though, uses a distraction from Curt Hawkins to hit Watson from behind. He goes to the top and goes for a double ax-handle but Watson dropkicks him out of the air and that's enough to end it.

Winner via pinfall: Percy Watson

Johnny Curtis is flirting with Kaitlyn when Maxine interrupts. Curtis claims Maxine is jealous. Maxine gets up in his face all seductively and Curtis blows her off. Derrick Bateman comes up and Maxine tells him to shut up and makes out with him. Then the camera pans out and Bateman introduces her to his mom. He takes off and Bateman's mom tells Maxine that she sees the way she looks at Curtis, so if she hurts one curl of hair on his head, she's done.

Match #2 - Yoshi Tatsu (Tokyo, Japan) & Trent Barreta (Mount Sinai, NY) vs. Tyson Kidd (Calgary, Alberta) & Johnny Curtis (Westbrook, Maine)

Kidd and Curtis control Barreta until Barreta hits a corkscrew moonsault on Kidd. Both men make tags and Tatsu comes in and unloads with kicks on Curtis. Spinning heel kick connects for Tatsu for two. He goes for the same move off the top but Curtis moves. He hits a sit-out suplex and that is all she wrote.

Winners via pinfall: Johnny Curtis & Tyson Kidd

Match #3 - Maxine (Tampa, Fla.) vs. Alicia Fox (Ponte Vedra Beach, Fla.)

Maxine in control until she spots Bateman and his mother on the stage. This allows Fox to snap Maxine over and hit a leg drop for the pin.

Winner via pinfall: Alicia Fox

Match #4 - Titus O'Neil (Tampa, Fla.) vs. Derrick Bateman (Cleveland, Ohio) vs. Darren Young (Miami, Fla.)

The winner of this match gets a match on Smackdown.

Young tries to chop O'Neil in the corner but he no sells them, reverses position and then chops the crap out of Young.

Young and Bateman decide to double team O'Neil and that goes well until Bateman goes for a cover and Young takes offense. That allows O'Neil to hit clotheslines on both men. Now it transitions into more of a triple threat match with no affiliations. It leads to a tower of doom spot. O'Neil is first up and covers Young for two. He tries Bateman for two.

O'Neil goes to work on Young with strikes and then hits a fallaway slam on Bateman. Young gets a scoop slam but kicks out at two. O'Neil and Young go out onto the apron and Young hits a neckbreaker. Bateman dropkicks Young off the apron and then covers and pins O'Neil.

Winner via pinfall: Derrick Bateman

Bateman says he's headed back to Smackdown and then asks Maxine to come out to celebrate. Her music plays but she doesn't come out. Instead, it's JTG and Tamina. Tamina tells him Maxine packed up all her stuff and left with Johnny Curtis. Yes!
