WWE NXT: Young makes impact in return to ring
By MATT BISHOP - SLAM! Wrestling

Tonight on WWE NXT: Last week, Darren Young made his big return from suspension to attack Titus O'Neil. This week, he's in the main event, teaming with Tyler Reks to face O'Neil and Percy Watson. Elsewhere, the relationship between Derrick Bateman and Maxine continues to be rocky thanks to Johnny Curtis. Should be a good one!

And we are TAPED! from Wilkes-Barre, Pa. Matt Striker and William Regal are our commentators and Striker is our host. This show is presented in WWEHD (TV-PG,V).

Darren Young is out to start the show. He talks about what's done in WWE and notes Titus O'Neil hasn't done anything in WWE and he knows it. He is interrupted by Tyler Reks and Curt Hawkins. He says they are impressed with the way Young attacked O'Neil. Hawkins says they think Young has "it" and what it takes to make it in WWE.

Now they are interrupted by O'Neil and Percy Watson. They start "comedy" hour, making pun of the three people in the ring. O'Neil notes they have an agenda because last year in Wilkes-Barre, he was eliminated from NXT. He said he promised he'd come back and make it a win. He says he's going to make their agenda crystal clear and he punches Young in the face. Reks and Hawkins bail and pull Young out.

Striker takes off his headset and books Young and Reks against Watson and O'Neil tonight.

Match #1 - Yoshi Tatsu (Tokyo, Japan) vs. Johnny Curtis (Westbrook, Maine)

Tatsu lights Curtis up with chops in the corner but Curtis escapes and then hits a slingshot leg drop for two. Curtis with a headlock. He gets distracted, though, when Maxine walks away from the commentary table. This allows Tatsu to recover and land some more chops and kicks. A spinning heel kick follows. He goes for a running boot in the corner but Curtis moves and lands a hard chop of his own. He goes for a superplex but Tatsu head butts him off and hits the spinning heel kick off the top rope and that is all she wrote.

Winner via pinfall: Yoshi Tatsu

Maxine and Derrick Bateman are arguing backstage. Bateman notes everywhere he turns Curtis is creeping up on them. She says he needs to get his priorities straight and until then, there's no more play time for him. She leaves in a huff when Curtis comes up and taunts Bateman some more.

Match #2 - Jimmy Uso (San Francisco, Calif.) vs. JTG (Brooklyn, NY)

JTG in control with a headlock in the centre of the ring. Uso fires up and escapes. He goes for a clothesline, but JTG fires back with one of his own. Chinlock now for JTG. Uso back to a vertical base and he puts JTG down with a series of open-handed palm strikes. With JTG down in the corner, Uso hits a butt splash for two. Uso goes for a Samoan drop but JTG counters, only to eat a kick square in the mouth. Uso goes to the top and hits the splash and that is it.

Winner via pinfall: Jimmy Uso

Match #3 - Titus O'Neil (Tampa, Fla.) & Percy Watson (Miami, Fla.) vs. Tyler Reks (Laguna, Calif.) & Darren Young (Miami, Fla.)

The match is so interesting that Regal decides to talk about WWE 12 coming out and how he has abs in the video game. He is so excited.

Young and Reks in control of Watson and they isolate him in their corner. Hard Irish whip into the corner and, on the outside, Curt Hawkins yells out "Touchdown Tyler Reks!" I laughed. Gordbuster for Reks. He follows with a front headlock and then knocks O'Neil off the apron. It's for naught, though, as Watson backdrops him and makes the tag after shoving Reks off. Both men tag.

O'Neil with a big power slam but Reks breaks up the pin. Watson comes in and kicks Reks out of the ring. Young throws Watson out of the ring but eats a clothesline from O'Neil. Now Hawkins gets involved, swiping at O'Neil with his cane. This distraction allows Young to hit O'Neil from behind and then load him up and hit the Gut Check. That is all she wrote.

Winners via pinfall: Darren Young & Tyler Reks
