WWE NXT: Curtis creating a rift between BetaMax
By MATT BISHOP - SLAM! Wrestling

Tonight on WWE NXT: The age old expression "Save the drama for your momma" has never applied to NXT. This season's power couple, Derrick Bateman and Maxine, continue to have some cracks in the foundation courtesy of Johnny Curtis. In the main event, Titus O'Neil faces Tyler Reks and an NXT rookie makes a shocking return. Should be a good one!

And we are TAPED! from Bridgeport, Conn. Josh Mathews and William Regal are our commentators and Striker is our host. This show is presented in WWEHD (TV-PG,V).

Percy Watson and Titus O'Neil are in the ring. They talk about nothing of any importance when they are interrupted by Tyler Reks and Curt Hawkins. They diss O'Neil and he says he'll be damned if he lets them come down and talk to him like some kid. This brings out Derrick Bateman. He says this is the worst show ever. I agree. It devolves into fish lip jokes and a brawl almost breaks out. This brings Striker out and he books Reks against O'Neil in the main event. He also books Bateman against Watson right now.

Match #1 - Derrick Bateman (Cleveland, Ohio) vs. Percy Watson (Miami, Fla.)

Bateman in control. He hits a leaping clothesline but he takes a second to jaw at O'Neil on commentary and this allows Watson to get rolling. He hits two dropkicks, a throw and the Showtime Splash for two. He hits a a facebuster and then the Percecution and that is all she wrote.

Winner via pinfall: Percy Watson

Maxine is backstage with a magazine when Johnny Curtis comes up to her. He says he wants things to be like they used to be. He doesn't want them to be awkward. He tells her if she needs anything at all, she has his number. She says she wants to thank him for his help, but she doesn't need it. And she slaps him.

Match #2 - Yoshi Tatsu (Tokyo, Japan) vs. JTG (Brooklyn, NY)

Tatsu with some chops but JTG applies a chinlock. Tatsu works his way out but JTG retains control. He hits a body slam and goes for a fist drop, but Tatsu gets his foot up. JTG catches it but Tatsu brings his other foot around and kicks JTG in the head and takes over. He hits some kicks and then a big boot in the corner. JTG drops to a knee and Tatsu kicks him in the chest for two. Tatsu goes for the high kick but Tamina jumps on the apron to provide a distraction. This allows JTG to run Tatsu into the post and roll him up for the pin.

Winner via pinfall: JTG

JTG and Tamina are chatting backstage when they run into the Usos. She brushes them off and then Bateman runs into them asking if they've seen Maxine or Curtis. Curtis comes up and says he saw Maxine and tells him Maxine digs him. Maxine comes up and she and Bateman argue. She leaves in a huff. Curtis tells Bateman if he ever needs any help, he has his number. Oh wait, he says, Bateman doesn't, but Maxine does.

Match #3 - Titus O'Neil (Tampa, Fla.) vs. Tylers Reks (Laguna, Calif.)

O'Neil sends Reks to the outside and follows up. He throws Reks back in the ring but Reks cuts him off as he reenters and sends him back out. As Reks takes the ref, Curt Hawkins shoves O'Neil into the ring apron. This prompts Percy Watson to punch Hawkins. The referee first throws Watson out and then Hawkins.

We're back and Reks is in control. He hits a big boot and then a headlock. O'Neil gets back to a vertical base and tries to elbow out. Reks maintains control briefly, but O'Neil is able to escape and back drops him. Back elbow and two shoulder blocks connect for O'Neil. He lands a big punch for a two count. Reks counters with a jawbreaker and slams O'Neil down. He goes to the second rope and comes down, but O'Neil catches him and hits the Clash of the Titus and that is all she wrote.

Winner via pinfall: Titus O'Neil

O'Neil is celebrating when he is attacked from behind by Darren Young, making his return from his Wellness Policy suspension. He hits his finisher and tells O'Neil that he is looking for retribution.
